The location is a little off the map. It’s up De Anza towards the hill and its in a tiny plaza, but with plenty of parking. We went around 745 on a Saturday, there was no wait and we were seated right away. The place was clean and we were greeted. The menu was simple and not overbearing like some places are with their specialty rolls. The they had 1 sheet of back and front rolls, which was easy to select. We ordered 3 specialty rolls, two orders of nigiri and 1 appetizer which was another type of roll. They were not so giant and actually the perfect size. Usually that’s our order size and we always have a small amount of left overs. I was surprised we finished it all and could probably eat more. The prices though, are for something that was bigger so that’s the downfall. We also ordered some sake and enjoyed our needed date. We had an order of scallop and yellowtail nigiri which were very fresh and lovely pieces. The hamachi melted in my mouth. We ordered a Heaven Roll which had spicy tuna on top. Very good and fresh. The appetizer was their asparagus roll wrapped in beef. It was actually quite good and I’d recommend it. The 85 was a fun roll with jalapeño inside. It was a nice crunch and flavor without the crazy spicy results. The 3rd roll I can’t remember the name and their online menu does not include all the rolls offered(so keep that in mind!). Loved their 1 free tiny tiny scoop of green tea ice cream at the end. It’s a nice extra touch after your meal. Credit accepted. No real wait time around 8 on a Saturday. Fresh sushi. Free green tea ice cream.

We tried the tempura udon and the tonkatsu donburi with a sashimi platter appetizer. Overall, this place is simply another average Japanese restaurant. Nothing tastes bad, but nothing tastes outstanding either. The tonkatsu is fried well, but the donburi overall is a bit bland in terms of taste. The tempura is also fried well, but the udon is not well seasoned. The watered down sukiyaki sauce as the soup base does not work as well as other udon soup base either. The sashimi is fresh though overall. Again, the food is decent but nothing special.

This is my favorite sushi place in the Bay Area! The prices are decent, the sushi is great and they will do any customization you wish to a role. An extra bonus for the vegetarian is the self-combined role where you can chose the amount of ingredients and which ingredients. Service is great, location is awesome, just LOVE this place.

Got takeout here on a lazy Monday evening, and I wasn’t impressed. After a day in SF, my Mom and I were tired… which means small appetites and unwillingness to cook, in translation. I decided to order takeout from Sushi Heaven for myself, since I always pass by and wonder what their sushi is like. I’m not a fan from what I got in the takeout version. Had their Red Dragon, and was totally OK paying about $ 15 even after I tipped out because I too work in the food service industry! Service was amazing, friendly, and shoutout to this friendly non-Asian man who was VERY gracious in greeting me once I walked in, directing me to the take-out cashier, and even offering me some water when I walked back in again to pick up my order. HE deserves 5 stars. It all boils down to the sushi itself for me. I felt like I could get a more delicious, bigger portion’d special red dragon roll at another spot like SenDai in Milpitas or any spot in San Jose and pay less than what I did. But the red dragon here at Sushi Heaven seemed too dry for me, small, and not appetizing. I did see a few tables filled during dinnertime when I came to do take out, but it was mainly non-Asian customers. Also, after eating the sushi, I didn’t feel sick immediately or anything… but the next day I felt sick upon waking up and expelled things from both ends if you know what I mean. I don’t want to blame this spot or anything, but I am pretty sure I didn’t eat anything else that day that might have caused this food bug. Could have been the milk tea I had in SF, but I highly doubt it. I don’t know how I feel about Sushi Heaven, and maybe it was because I don’t normally take out sushi… perhaps dining in is the way to go. But after one stop here, I won’t find myself coming back.

We came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day in hopes there wouldn’t be a crazy long wait. We came around 7:30 and seated promptly. The menu seemed elegant but all I paid attention to was the sushi roll menu. We ordered 3 rolls, hardly filled us up. The fish tasted fresh and looked nice. We ordered the Totoro, Pink Panther, Golden Gate. None of them really stood out to me. So I was kinda disappointed in the taste. Service was good. Checked on us, refilled our drinks, and food came out fast. The restaurant is clean and looks presentable. Average sushi pricing here($ 10-$ 14). This place was great for satisfying my sushi craving. Although, I didn’t find anything special here, it was a good spot to have a dinner date on Valentine’s Day without a long wait. Plus, a free small scoop of green tea icecream!

Sushi Heaven? Felt more like sushi purgatory. Ordered a Hamachi lover roll and got a roll with small pieces of Hamachi on top. I asked them if they could put more Hamachi on it, which is embarrassing enough and they looked at me like I was crazy. Asked another person and they said that is because of the way they cut the fish. Really? See my picture for the visual.

For special occasions such as b-days, we usually go to Plume Horse, The Grill, Forbes Mill, The Basin to name a few. For my bday, I decided Sushi Heaven as we again enjoyed our dinner there last Saturday, it is near from home & I just want a light dinner. So I asked as SH Michelle to reserve 2 Hamachi Kama for Wednesday. She took down my information & called me on Tuesday to follow up & mentioned likely only 1 HKma. Well, they reserved 2HK& a table for us. Impressive! More so, our food was extremely fresh & yummy, superb service; it gets better, they made a special bday dessert with a candle. I normally don’t Unilocal. But I can’t help not to share our overall delightful experience last night @ SHeaven. A simple casual dinner turns out to be an excellent choice!

I’ve been here twice and both times did not disappoint. The service here is nice and the fish is fresh! I ordered the sashimi deluxe, the black spider roll, and two miso soups. A perfect amount for two! The sashimi deluxe is 18 pieces of chef’s choice. Expect the usual like tuna and salmon of course, but be ready to try other things too. All good and fresh of course. The price is around $ 28. The black spider roll is about 8 pieces in perfect bite size amounts. The insides is spicy tuna with cucumber and the outside is soft shelled crab. Yum! Good contrast to the sashimi. Miso soup is good, but I’ve rarely had a bad miso soup anywhere. And at the end, a bite size scoop of green tea ice cream. For free! Everyone likes free things. Overall, I like the food and I think for sushi it’s an affordable price. Will be coming back again!

I’ve visited Sushi Heaven on multiple occasions only because it is near home and a very convenient location to eat with friends or family. However, whenever I dine in at Sushi Heaven, I always leave unhappy and disappointed for stingy portion sizes and the unsatisfying quality of the food. In the past, I would order my usual Salmon Teriyaki bento box entrée for lunch and the size of the salmon here is ridiculously small. You cannot even get full off of this ridiculous portion size if you eat even two or three of these salmons. Also, the gyoza was very dry and actually made me lose my hungry appetite because of its horrible texture. Yesterday night, my party of six ordered probably eight sushi dishes and had to order more because the servings were so darn small. The most ridiculous portion size was the Fried Calamari appetizer. This dish came with seven thin, flimsy circular strips of poorly fried calamari pieces for $ 6.95 and was a total rip-off. As for the other sushi dishes, they all tasted alright, but they were definitely not special at all. The only sushi that I loved and thoroughly enjoyed was the Lion King Roll, as it was less drenched in sauce and tasted lighter than other heavily drenched Lion King Rolls. It was very tasty and I would highly recommend the Lion King Roll if you dined here. Also, whenever we requested water, the waitress would get to us whenever she could, but she would show up with a frustrated«I don’t want to be here» kind of expression. I don’t blame her, she was the only one I spotted on the floor along with one busboy helping out so many tables on a busy weekend night. Unfortunately, the best part of my dinner was the green tea ice cream. And the ironic part? It was free. Sadly, my family and I will not be coming back to Sushi Heaven and I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Overall, sushi here is pretty good — fresh with decently sized slices, but the other food was so-so and service could definitely do with some improvement. The chicken karaage was weird and didn’t taste like karaage that I have had at any other Japanese restaurant. The breading was not what you’d expect for karaage and the chicken didn’t taste very well cooked — overall, not their best dish. The nabeyaki udon was also a disappointment for $ 11.95. The soup was bland, and the noodles were overcooked(too soft), which turned the chewy udon into a soggy and floppy batch of fat noodles. There wasn’t that many toppings and just wasn’t a great dish here. What was nice, was that when you order sashimi as part of your bento, you get 4 pieces of sashimi instead of the usual 3. And you can mix and match, so I got 2 pieces of tuna and 2 pieces of salmon. The sashimi itself was pretty good, fresh and came as thick slices. However, the bento itself was also still on the pricey side($ 13.95 for 2 item combo), but that might have been because of the«dinner price». Anyhow, they also gave us each a complementary scoop of matcha ice cream as part of the meal. The ice cream was meh(didn’t really taste like matcha at all), but free is free, right? Service was mediocre as the waitresses are very prone to forgetting that you asked them for an extra bowl or a tea refill or the check or for boxes… In fact, a few of them act like you’re insulting them by asking for something, which was definitely a downer on the experience. They’re also pretty slow with bringing out food despite the number of staff members here. In general, I prefer Kenji Sushi on Winchester over this place, but would only come here out of convenience. It’s also rather busy on weekend evenings, so there might be quite a wait, which the food doesn’t really make up for.

I have only been here a couple of times for their $ 10 lunch special and absolutely love it. Service is fast and the food is fresh, what more could a girl ask for when taking her lunch break? I am honestly not a sushi roll person, so I can only speak on behalf of the salmon teriyaki.

Loved this place! Excellent food and great prices! First time in Cupertino I was craving for sushi(as always) and found this place. It didn’t look that inviting from the outside but the inside was a different world, nicely decorated with an authentic feeling to it. My husband got the lunch combination(Salmon teriyaki two rolls) and I got the Chirashi. We both REALLY enjoyed our dishes. The rice and fish were super fresh and the miso soup was fantastic. The presentation was nice as well and. I’ll definitely come back here next time I’m in Cupt.

I came here for lunch with one of my friends because they said it was really good Japanese food. The ambience and service was really good so that’s always a plus! It felt modern and clean with nice art on the walls so my experience at Sushi Heaven started off well. The waiter was really polite and accommodating to my various needs(getting a fork and spoon, straws for the water, extra rice instead of salad, etc.) and it’s very refreshing for a waiter to get all of that without being confused(most places the waiter is usually very confused). I decided to try out the lunch combo(3 items) with salmon teriyaki, chicken teriyaki, and tempura because I’m a huge fan of teriyaki. The price was decent(only around $ 13) so I was really excited to get my food. However, when I got it, the portion sizes were a bit smaller than I had hoped. I guess I’m just used to other Japanese restaurants I frequent giving me larger portions than what I was given at Sushi Heaven. Furthermore, the chicken was a bit tough and dry which was disappointing. My friend got sashimi and had no complaints so perhaps that’s better, but for me, it was not above average teriyaki compared to other Japanese restaurants. With that, I’d say that this place gets 3 stars simply because the food wasn’t delicious. It was decent food don’t get me wrong, but it just couldn’t compare to some of the other Japanese restaurants I’ve been to recently. However, other people have rated it higher than I have so maybe it was just an off experience for me!

I’ve come here a couple times for lunch. Once I had the sushi and the other visit I had the sukiyaki! I was pleased with the choices I made. Everything I ordered was tasty, filling, and pretty legit! Every sushi spot I visit, I order a spicy scallop hand roll. Their version is good, but I can’t rank it up there as the best. So far, it’s been a solid spot. I’ll have to come a few more times to try out other dishes. They have lunch specials which make it more affordable. Otherwise the pricing would be a little high compared to other sushi spots I frequent in the area. The service is good. They’re attentive, quick, and they are efficient. I also love that they give you a tiny spoonful of green tea ice cream. It’s kind of a teaser. Wish they gave an entire scoop! It’s that good!

We came here on a random Sunday, looking for a late night sushi run — my definition of happy time: D. Tucked away in an unassuming small plaza. From the outside, this place looks like crappiest sushi joint I’ve ever been to, but once inside, the whole atmosphere took up a whole different notch; clean, bright and spacious. I was told this is a Korean-owned sushi place. Which means their rolls have mayo, cheese, cream cheese, avocado, loads of sauces and other things. Honestly, as much as I prefer traditional sushi(with the focus of only the seafood and rice), I do enjoy occasional rolls that has fatty taste added to them, as long as they tasted delicious. We ordered the Orange blossom($ 11.95) and Metallica($ 13.95). For the value, these are FAT rolls, and they are not even the biggest rolls they got! The fish tasted fine, rolls were a bit loose, and it was swimming in too much sauces… it gets overwhelming at the end of it. Also got the tempura, it was nothing special but again the portion was generous. Overall, this place is alright. Service was nice and quick, we got a teeny complimentary green tea ice cream at the end of our meal. The sushi & rolls options were impressive, and the sashimi looks promising. So, maybe I will be back for those… just maybe.

The sushi here is really good and all at wallet friendly prices! Wins all around in my book. Our server was friendly and our orders came out really quickly too. If you like your sushi cooked a bit, I’d recommend ‘The Rock’. The crab is fried and crispy which goes nicely with the creamy avocado. Another roll I’d recommend is the Orange Blossom if you like salmon. A bottle of kirin here is also super cheap, which is perfect to drink while eating sushi. Lastly, our server brought out little scoops of complimentary green tea ice cream– a perfect refreshing dessert at the end of our meal. This is definitely my new go to spot for sushi!

There are so many sushi places in the Bay Area! I decided to look for one very close to my house and Sushi Heaven came up on Unilocal. These guys make some really delicious rolls. I’ve had the caterpillar roll, veggie delight, and unagi lovers. All the rolls were good but a little small in size. I was still pretty hungry after eating one of them and had to order another one. They are on the pricy side and two special rolls cost me over $ 20! This is a a little higher than some of the other sushi places I’ve been to in the bay area. I’ve also had the salmon teriyaki and tempura bento box and was impressed. These guys do a phenomenal job with their tempura. It is very light and crispy! The salmon is good too but again on the small side. At the end of the meal, you get a cute little serving of green tea ice cream. I loved this! :) Overall, I will be coming back here again for the delicious rolls and tempura! It does get pricey but the quality is quite good.

I feel like this place is very overpriced… or maybe I’m just used to the cheaper sushi places in LA. I ordered the Chirashi bowl here and it was $ 18.95 I believe. At that price, I was expecting a greater variety of sashimi. But you only get the typical ones, and two pieces of each. I know there was shrimp, egg, octopus, salmon, tuna, and albacore? I wish they included clams or scallops. I also didn’t like how the fish was sliced. The pieces were VERY thick, and I feel like it would have been so much better if they included more pieces but have them cut thinner. The fish tasted very fresh, though, so that was a plus! My other big issue: there wasn’t enough rice in the chirashi bowl. I rarely ever say that – usually I complain about there not being enough fish and way too much rice. Not here, though. There was only a very small bed of rice at the bottom of all the sashimi. Service here was okay. The food came out pretty fast. We did have to repeatedly wave to flag down our waiter at times, though. But it wasn’t a bad experience overall.

This place is great if you want sashimi and nigiri. The sushi is fresh and delicious. It’s probably one of the better sushi places in the South Bay. The ambiance is really nice, not like a lot of the other sushi restaurants that have tons of tables crammed in and you get stuck sitting super close to people. Nope, none of that here! Seating is well spread out and you actually feel like you have some privacy. My friend and I each got our own sushi combination dinner which had 6 pieces of nigiri and 9 pieces of sashimi. I got mine with no tuna but they replaced it with a fish that seemed like tuna. Wasn’t really to my liking though. The salmon and hamachi are very fresh here. The hamachi and unagi were my favorites. This platter was about $ 25. Cost isn’t bad and it was very filling! We also got a roll which I can’t really remember the name of. It had shrimp tempura inside and was topped with unagi and white fish. The roll was alright, nothing special. We really wanted uni however the restaurant ran out the day before. It was such a disappointment for us but oh well what can you do?! We’ll just have to wait for next time to try it. They give you a complimentary baby scoop of green tea ice cream at the end. It’s a bite sized scoop which is really cute. Prices aren’t too bad here and the quality of fish is good. Service is good too. Make sure you make reservations or else you’ll be waiting a bit to be seated. This place gets pretty packed. I would highly recommend this place if you’re craving sushi in the South Bay.
