Ordered take-out, had to wait ½ hour for food after the time they told me it would be ready. Ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and was given the option to add shrimp for an additional cost-which I did but literally never again-I received 1 piece of shrimp!!!

I love this place. I had the eggplant Parmesan sandwich. It was really great. Polcari’s makes wonderful eggplant Parmesan. The sweet potato fries I had with the sandwich were also very good.

Zero stars. The most unaccommodating restaurant I have been to in years. The chef, after being asked, agreed to make me a gluten free pizza. After he made it wrong he refused to make me a new one. Said he stopped what he was doing to make the first so he wouldn’t stop again. I’ve never been so turned off at a restaurant in my life. Will never return.

Place is okay nothing special about it ! I always come in and sit at the bar, I love the bread and oil they gave you. I’m boring and always get the fettuccine Alfredo!

My girlfriend and I met here last night for a pizza and some wine. It was overall a great experience. The bread and oil is fabulous! We got a shrimp scampi pizza that was delicious & the service was great. One warning I’d give is that Tuesday night is «kids night» which resulted in a clown making balloons that kept popping & was quite noisy. We will absolutely be back(likely not on a Tuesday)!

Normally I don’t like to review places based on the service, but I had the most negative experience that I have ever had while eating out at a restaurant… ever. My friend and I were meeting for dinner here last night. She got there before I did, and was seated. She sat for 10 minutes before I got there and no one approached her. Fine– maybe they were waiting until I got there. Asking her if she wanted a drink while she waited would have been nice. When I got there, we sat for an additional 15 minutes before anyone came over– and only because I stood up and looked around for someone. Mostly, we didn’t mind being left alone– we were catching up and our menus were closed. But someone should have come over and at least greeted us! Our server came over and asked if we wanted some drinks and some bread. We ordered 2 bottled beers & yass please to some bread. When she came back with our drinks, we put in an order for the Mozzarella Triangles. She came back with those very quickly– less than 5 minutes. She then asked us if we were ready to order dinner. We said we weren’t, and she told us «Not a problem! I’ll come check later.» In total seriousness, she came back every 2 to 3 minutes after that asking what we wanted to order, if we were going to order, should she take our menus!!! She was not happy with us– and we couldn’t really figure out why. She seemed very nice and understanding of us up until this point… So we ordered some more appetizers, gave her our menus, and ordered 2 more bottled beers. She came back with 2 beers, one of which was half empty! HALFEMPTY. I was like, oh, this one must have spilled or something– and I tried to hand it back to her, and she said«nope. I saw him open it myself» and walked away from the table. Um, Ok. Even if that were true– why would you serve your customer a half empty bottles beer? I took a sip of it, and it was of course flat, so I tried to wave her down to bring me another one. She wouldn’t make eye contact with us, and just left the area. We couldn’t find anyone else for a solid 5 minutes. At this point, I’ll pay for the stupid beer, but bring me a fresh one that I can enjoy! We finally brought it over to the hostess, who apologized and said she would bring us a new one. Then our server comes running back to our table with the half empty beer and asked me, «so, what do you want me to do with this?» I said, «I’m not drinking this– it’s not full and its flat! I would just like you to bring me a new one.» She brings over a capped beer, holds it in front of my face, takes her bottle opener out of her pocket and holds that in my face, and said, «okkkkk. WATCH me open your beer myself.» Then she slammed the beer on the table and walked away. We asked for the manager, who told us she was sorry for the servers behavior, and would send someone else over to take care of us. Since we didn’t order anything else, all our new server had to do was bring us our check, which was full price. I do feel bad for ragging on a restaurant based on it’s service– because it’s not necessarily everyone else’s fault that she was having a terrible night– but I don’t go out to eat to be made fun of, I don’t go out to eat so my server can treat me like garbage, and I don’t go out to eat to pay for beers that aren’t fresh and full. We won’t ever go back.

The shrimp Scampi and spinach pizza from Regina pizzeria is delicious. Also the bread with olive oil they serve prior to the entrée is a wonderful blend of ingredients! My bf and I ordered the Chicken Picatta and the Baked Lasagna which were both massive! It took a while getting out and we were the only ones sitting at the bar but they were both ok… The bartender Rob was great he took care of us and was very attentive and accommodating! Will come back for regina pizzeria and Rob :)

I’ve been to Polcari’s more times than I’d like to admit in the past year, mainly because I’m supposed to be eating less carbs. The portions here are incredible. My girlfriend can easily get 3 meals out of 1 entrée; I on the other hand view each entrée as a challenge. A challenge that leaves me very uncomfortable afterwards. I mainly stick with their low carb options: Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Picatta, Chicken Florentine, Fettucine Alfredo, etc. My favorite is the Chicken Florentine(chicken breast topped with spinach and mozzarella); Kristina likes the Chicken Picatta(chicken breast, garlic sauce, capers). Every entrée I’ve ordered has come with 2 large chicken breasts, because having 1 large breast would be hella awkward. I’ve used the online ordering on their website every time. I’ve only run into one issue where they gave my order to somebody else by mistake and it took an hour for them to remake my original order. In that situation, the manager refunded my entire order. Some people would go on Unilocal to rant and rave that they made one mistake. I’d rather focus on how well they handled the situation. My only suggestion would be to offer more protein-centric options like steak and salmon. Then again, it wouldn’t be the North Shore if it wasn’t primarily Chinese and Italian restaurants. All orders come with a loaf of bread and olive oil dipping sauce because carbohydrates are a drug.

There pizza is good! not as good as the original pizza regina in the north end but as close as you are going to get to it without going into town. There dipping oil as always awesome but the bread is not my favorite. never had a bad meal here. Also request the dinning room because they have a side room were bands play but, its an odd room for just having dinner and its always freezing in there.

My wife and I love Polcaris. Whether we go to this location or the one in Woburn, we always have a great meal. Try the lasagna with meatballs or the pizza. Both are out of this world!

I used to love this place(15 yrs ago). Now their pizza is just FINE. He ordered chicken and pepperoni, which was pretty decent and I had the Napoleta, which was really, really bad.

Great American Italian food. Very good pizza, be sure to ask for extra crispy. The meatball calzone was crazy flavorful and a good pleasing crust. Meatball was a bit hard and could use some sauce love. Chicken parm was very welcoming, nicely thin and crisp with a delicious crust. And the cannoli was deliciously citrus kissed. Can’t miss.

Unfortunately, i feel that the pizza here, which used to be my favorite, is now just average. it is sad to see this: perhaps they are using cheaper ingredients, perhaps the manager has lost interest. it’s a tough business for sure. Other food is generally quite good. Bread and oil at the beginning is a nice touch.

Arrived at 5:30 pm, seated promptly. Ordered house Chardonnay for wife and diet coke for me. had to wait 5 minutes before our waitress appeared, not busy! Two cups of Italian Wedding soup, disappointed, not hot, very little taste. Always has been terrific in the past. Ordered large Margarita pizza, surprised crust was not the usual thin crust, more like a Greek style. Don’t know if there has been a change of cooks. Not the same, will try again out of loyalty.

Hands down best pizza outside Boston city limits! We went for lunch on July 19th. I wish I remembered names because I was not impressed with the host. He was slightly rude. But our waitress, who was the bartender, was wonderful. She was personable and attentive. She is what people in the service industry should be. I used to be a waitress and it is not easy but she was fantastic. The pizza was so good. Will definitely be going back. Can’t believe it took me that long to go.

Avoid on a Tuesday night. the noise from the lounge is too much(and not from a crowd of people but one of the worst singers on the planet) I love Polcaris menu and the service is great but wish they would replace the host with a regular DJ who knows how to entertain and not drive people away.

GF took me here for my Birthday as it was one of my first nights out after Baby… Was a little worried that we were going to be all night but we were actually able to walk right in & sit down. Ordered & I never actually realized Regina & Polcari’s were ONE In the same, I thought Regina had like a window where you can just order Pizza… Brought the Bread & Oil &YES I ate the whole loaf of Bread, OMG. The oil is insane… Our Waitress was a little off & I didnt love her, but whatever… Ordered our food & I Hate when Old School Italian places put the pasta on a separate plate, Like really just put it all together it takes up soo much space & is harder to eat… She dropped my GF’s Lasagna all over the place & then had to wait to get another order & then didnt even comp it or apologize or off anything for the Inconvenience of having to wait… BAD Customer Service. All in all a good place & now knowing how laid back it is in there I would def go back & bring the BF… Food was good, just service was a little off that night! Definitely has the potential for more stars!

I’ve been here for various events and functions throughout the past few years but my girlfriend and I haven’t been here for an actual sit down dinner, so last night we’re driving up route one and decided to stop in and grab something to eat. We get in and it’s run incredibly slow, they make you wait in line because they only have one person waiting tables. We sit down and wait maybe 15 minutes to get a drink and the people next to us got there drinks before us, so I was about to walk out but decided to see if it would get better but it didn’t, not even a little. We get sat in the kids room basically, every table had a table with bratty little screaming kids. The waitress even said«you must have pissed someone off to get out in here» thanks, don’t move us. The calzone that we got was a chicken parm calzone, which was basically all cheese, it was so greasy and just unappetizing and this is coming from the least pickiest eater ever.

I love Polcari’s for all it’s tackiness and loud patrons,. It’s definitely a family place with plenty of birthday events. Manfriend’s own family used to drag him here a lot growing up. The waitstaff is sweet and handles crowded nights well. I’ve had my orders messed up a handful of times but they were always very apologetic and rushed to fix it(forgotten soup, mixed up salad request, forgotten drink.) While we don’t come here expecting a 5-star experience, we do expect delicious bread and spicy oil, yummy pasta sauce, giant portions, and reasonable prices. Don’t try seafood entrees here, it gets overcooked easily. Do try the calamari, sausage cavatappi, and chicken parm(it should automatically come with a doggy bag. this thing is huge!)
