Nicht sonderlich originelles Essen, dafür aber traumhafter Blick von der Terrasse auf die Bucht und SF.

Had reservations for Valentines Day. Added 3 more people to reservation and asked specifically if it was a set menu for Valentines Day. Was told it wasn’t and would be the regular menu. When we got there to check in the line was long and people kept cutting in front of us. When we finally got noticed and acknowledged I said we had a reservation. They finally found it and said a reservation for 6? I said no for 9… I called the day before and added three more. Finally got seated and then realized the menu was a set menu for Valentine’s Day. I explained to our server that I had called and was told it was the regular menu that night and not a fixed menu. After insisting on talking to the manager they finally agreed to let us order a burger. Took them forever to bring us water. We had to ask for bread a number of times before getting it. Our waiter tried to accommodate us but he must have been overworked as we were neglected. Finally got our order taken and then waited an extremely long time to get our meals and two orders were completely wrong! They had a bucket of roses but only handed them to a couple of ladies. When I asked where ours were we were ignored. They didn’t ask if we wanted dessert just gave us our tab! Very unfriendly place, terrible service… we have tried this place at least ½ dozen times hoping it would get better as the location and views are beautiful but it keeps getting worse. The attitude there is always so unfriendly. And it isn’t cheap !

The only positive thing about this place is the amazing view! Prices are high, service is terrible and food is just ok. We were all hoping for a more killer experience. Blah! I would try the other pricier place next door… we had a miss here.

Reception desk/hostess: excellent Appetizer: very good Main course: very good Wine: very good(pricey) Dessert: just right Service: adequate Ambiance: good Live music: right for the setting Dance floor: none Parking: valet($ 9) Trident is wonderful for a special casual occasion, it will be pricey. Printing suggested tip on the bill is crass and immediately leads me to reduce the gratuity. Having to ask for water refills twice and hoping for more attentive service(it was«FINE») still got a tad over 15% tip from us.

Great view and good food. Perfect for a date night on a summer day! Parking was a little crazy, but luckily there is a paid parking lot right next to the restaurant. I went on a warm day and got to enjoy the patio on the water. The view from there is beautiful! Good service, and excellent crab cakes!

I came here on a whim while walking through Sausalito, killing time while traffic over the bridge died down. Ambiance– perfect. Beautiful views on the patio. It was late when I stopped in and they had heat lamps to keep it from being too chilly outside. I’m not usually an outdoor dining type of person but the views were too great even after sunset that I just couldn’t resist. Food– Mostly great. Had the clam chowder which was good but honestly I have had better and would probably skip it next time. Sourdough garlic bread was great, perfect with the soup. Pan seared scallops were EXCELLENT! So glad I picked those. Service– A+ that was the key factor in giving it 5 stars. My server was just the right amount of attentive. Not intrusive but available enough. The busser was also incredibly friendly and even had a nice chat with me and told me about the live music on the weekends while refilling my water. I’m in the restaurant industry so for me service is the #1 most important thing when I go out for dinner and this place nailed it. Overall I was very happy I chose to give this place a chance and am already planning to bring my husband out here soon so he can share the great experience I had. I’d definitely recommend it!

Saturday evening was our first time here. We sat outside on the deck, the heaters kept us cozy. The service was excellent. We ordered the steamed clams for an appetizer and they were perfect.(The broth was really good). The garlic bread was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The Caesar salad, yum. I ordered the Sea Bass, which was the special that night and it was cooked perfectly, sitting on top of mushroom ravioli, squash and bok choy and drizzled in a coconut sauce. It was really good. My husband loved his seafood linguini. Definitely want to return!

Had some great shrimps with the spicy sause and an order of Calamaris. It all was fantastic. Sat in the bar and had a great bartender. Favourite place with a hard to beat view. Will always be coming back here when in the neighbourhood.

Had an awesome experience and got to sit at Janice Joplin’s table. Amazing view and the food was awesome! We had the jumbo prawns for an appetizer and then I had a delicious blue walnut salad and my boyfriend had the fish and chips. Everything was extremely fresh and exceeded expectations and good service. Would highly recommend!

My friend and I went here for my birthday and I would say that it was an all right experience. The parking situation was easy for us to find. We parked our car in a metered parking just across the street. Luckily, it was close to free parking(6pm) for Sunday because we assumed it was free since we’re from San Francisco and that’s how it was. We came in a little early from our reservation and requested an outdoor seating. As we walked further down the restaurant, we noticed that the décor inside this restaurant was beautiful. Thank goodness that they have heaters outside or it would’ve been freezing. The view of the city was spectacular. Just the outline of the city from the lights was breath-taking. I ordered the seafood linguini which included mussels, clams, and shrimp. I must say that the portion was huge and it was a bit pricey for it. I sprinkled some chili flakes and parmesan on it to give the flavor a boost and I was not disappointed. Would I come back here? Maybe. The only spectacular thing about this place is their view. The food was average and overpriced.

Killer views from the deck plus an abundance of heat lamps are the biggest draw here. You really can’t beat those views, especially when you can enjoy them comfortably in the cooler months. As expected for a touristy spot in a touristy location, the food menu was pricey. Our crew kept things relatively affordable by ordering burgers and fish tacos. But first, we started with a round of bloody Marys, which were great. The beer list was lacking and the server didn’t seem to know much about beer — I wanted something light and he suggested a couple of heavy IPAs which are the opposite of light. I ended up with a tasty local pilsner. Clam chowder seems like a no brainer at a seafood restaurant, but I’d skip it here in the future. Scoma’s version is far superior. The fish tacos were excellent, however(but ask for hot sauce in advance!).

The view from the patio is AMAZING. The waitress was extremely nice too. The food was okay. I would give the food 3 stars. Calamari was flavorful with a good dipping sauce. Steamed clams were okay, pretty bland but they served it with a nice garlic bread. Steak was a pretty small portion for the price, like $ 30 for 3 ounces of meat. The sauce on the steak was forgettable. However, I would still come back for the view and would recommend to others to sit outside on the patio if possible.

My husband and I just biked across the Golden Gate Bridge and we were exhausted! This establishment was the first restaurant you will see right when you enter the main street of the town. There was a bike rack that would not cost you money if you dined with them. We even had the Valet guy approach us and asked if we would be dining at Trident as we were locking the bikes together.(Seriously?!) We chose to sit outside since it was such a beautiful day and there was a nice breeze. The view was nice, the food was average, our server was horrible! How does a table that gets sat after you get bread and water first before your server even greets you? We got the sampler. I didn’t really enjoy my food and I felt bad because my husband said he wanted to stop at the small store and grab drinks and sandwiches there. Price tag is closer to $$$ in my opinion.

The location is stunning. We sat outside on the deck. It was clear and sunny. We could see the city perfectly no fog at all. We ordered the deviled eggs and they were creamy with a hint of horseradish and a slice of bacon on top. These were probably the best deviled eggs I have ever had. The Garlic bread was superb. The Burger was delicious. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly medium rare. And, the Fish and Chips were wonderful. The fish was fi and flaky. The crust was crisp with no grease. I really liked their tartar sauce too. My complaints: 1. We had 2 servers. One was great and the other ignored us. Between the two of them we did not get complete attention. 2. The bathroom was very dirty. Other than that. The food and the view were fabulous.

I love love love this restaurant for everything it has to offer: intimacy, sophistication, live jazz, seafood & steak, cocktails, service that is on point. Last night, me and my friend were looking around Sausalito for a great restaurant that is affordable but still maintaining a luxurious vibe. We finally chose The Trident. Nothing from the outside matches what it looks like in the inside. It’s amazing how 360 everything is. The minute we walked in, the lights were dim, people were focused and eating, the bartender is flipping glasses, the live jazz band are playing Frank Sinatra type music, etc. Everything was GQ. We sat outside where yachts were going by, lights from houses on the hills, calm ocean, with fire lamps in every seat, and candle lighting. I ordered their Trident Cioppino which was amazing. Everything was fresh. A big bowl of shellfish, smoked white fish meat, and even a baby crab that is edible to the bones! This is my top fav cioppinos of all time. The mood was so right, I had to buy a whole bottle or Rose Champagne to celebrate! lol! It was just a 5-star type of night. The Trident is probably my favorite restaurant in Sausalito in terms of quality, seafoods, atmosphere, and service. The best deck seating in this area no doubt!

We had reservations for this place on Saturday afternoon — place was packed! We were seated by the water. The view is spectacular. I ordered the Mai Tai as my cocktail and it was good. Appetizer — we shared the calamari. Can’t go wrong with an old bay aioli. I had the crab louie salad. HUGE portion, which works as it’s a $ 32 meal… eeek! It was loaded with pepperoncini, tomatoes, avocado, crab, prawns… I can’t even remember the rest. If you know you’re going to be in the area, make sure to book a table on OpenTable beforehand. Definitely a must try!

Ohhh-hoe-hoeeeee, was this an amazing place!!! I’d attempted to pull up the location from my list of check-in’s simply to review it, but apparently upon dining at the location just this past holiday weekend, my check-in didn’t register; most likely due to lack of reception. I remembered the name, «Trident», due to that being my preferred«back up plan» to all of the garlic and Mexican food I/we tend to consume on the regular. Anywhoo-,…located«The Trident» on a whim while at the Golden Gate Bridge. Famished as all get out and not looking to forage back across to San Fran– and suffer through indefinite parking woes there, my partner Unilocaled(I know, I know… I’ve got him trained…, lol) brunch and booze for our«current» location and wouldn’t you know it??? «The Trident» popped up and alleged to have been a good 1.5 miles away — sweeeeeet! Typed the addy into my GPS and we were on our way. Typical of OC/LA residents, we attempted to phone in advance for reservations just because the photos depicted the place to have been relatively swanky. Note: The restaurant DOESNOT book reservations within 2 hours prior to your arrival! Should you be in the area while looking to drop by, you’re likely to experience a wait of some sort. We lucked out(probably due to our having been well dressed) and were seated within a quaint, secluded little romantic alcove within the restaurant completely overlooking the bay.(sighs…) #this-is-where-you-take-someone-when-you-wanna-get-sum-booty In either event, service thereon was nothing short of stellar!!! Shortly upon our having been seated we received warm bread alongside a side of butter. I tend to watch my cholesterol intake and requested a side of Caesar dressing but was presented a side of «in-house» recommended dip that totally had me lick my fingers a time or 2! I SERIOUSLYWISH I KNEWWHATTHISDIPWAS! Lord have mercy!!! As an appetizer, we partook in ordering the ‘seafood platter’ that arrived promptly and encompassed oysters, prawns and dungeness crab. For $ 25, I honestly anticipated a bit more in portion(there were 3 of everything… for 2 people, for some odd reason) yet the order, itself, was more than satisfying so there I digress. As an entrée’, he elected to go with the ‘Grilled salmon sandwich’, served with some type of chipotle aioli on ciabatta. This was TODIEFOR!!! He went to wash his hands and came back to half of his sandwich, haha. Don’t judge me! I really don’t know what happened and I’m sticking to that! As for me, I ordered the ‘crab cake sandwich’($ 23) and while it wasn’t groundbreaking at the time, it was definitely plentiful. Served with a side order of fries, I had enough to take back home and to be frank, it was twice as good the next day for lunch! As for drinks — they didn’t disappoint either! I believe I ordered sangria or a cocktail of some sort but I’m not sure(hiccup), I don’t remember it! Whatever it was though, was certainly enough to take my mind off of the fact that they didn’t have any eggs. HOWDOYOUNOTHAVEEGGS… FORBRUNCH??? I’m just curious. This was perplexing but I don’t question it enough to knock this place off of the list. Why 5 stars??? — — — — — — — – I’m getting to that. Upon paying, tipping and departing we were then made aware that our server had just began and this was actually her FIRSTDAY! Wow. I’m floored… Congrats to her let alone«The Trident»!!! Unlike most places, there was no delay let alone lapse in service and this, as I see it, speaks volumes with reference to the restaurant’s level of training and perfection of their craft. Additional Note: Valet at the restaurant’s entry could benefit from some additional schooling. Parking is tandem and they share a booth with a local bike rental joint. While they reduce rates for restaurant diners, anticipate a definite delay here as all in all, they really don’t know what the heck they’re doing… no reflection on The Trident by any means. Last but certainly not least, if «Four out of five dentists surveyed recommend Trident sugarless gum for their patients who chew gum»; …might I add that 2 out of SEVERAL So– Cal– residents left this place more than satisfied and have bookmarked it for the solidification of their guaranteed future return.

Living in Marin for the last ten years, I’m not sure how I’ve missed this spot. It’s right next to Scoma’s which is another favorite. We had 1pm reservation for lunch on the patio on the most amazing March afternoon we could have asked for. The fog burned off, view was gorgeous and now lets talk about the food. Oh… we started with a couple of Bloody Mary’s spiced to perfection, seafood sampler of some kind with oysters, prawns, crab, all sorts of deliciousness. It was a toss us between brunch or lunch… I decided to go for the crab cake benedict and goodness, I am glad I did. Nothing short of a celebration of flavor and yumminess. It was served with a side of mixed greens. Plenty, plenty of food. Great atmosphere, tasty food, delicious drinks, I will be back.
