One of our favorites in Marin. Everything we have tried so far has been very fresh and extremely tasty. We are one a week people there, and the staff is always nice, helpful, and willing to assist with your menu selections. A must go for Marin.

Our parents are visiting from Long Island and we were looking for a place to eat. Every place we drove past in the area was closed. Thankfully Tommy’s Wok just opened. The owner, I think her name was Anne & Annie, seemed a bit uncomfortable when we came in. Perhaps many black people do not come in often. Our parents are very kind and everyone is drawn to them so she got the side eye from me. Well, one side eye. –_ Mom & sis order apps for their meal(mom got shrimp rolls, my sister got spare ribs) which they both loved. I ordered shrimp rolls, dim sum and orange chicken because I just had a kale smoothie for breakfast and was starving. All 3 were perfection. Dad ordered pot stickers. The female owner said«well you ordered this many apps and that is enough». Um excuse me Lady who made you the menu police? And hello not for nothing PATRONSAREPAYINGYOU. I will order the whole dang menu if I want! Also we were rushed after our meal which is normal with Chinese restaurants. Mom and dad were dressed like a little middle aged people, no hoodies or saggy jeans. Sis and I were casual. My dad has a mustache for crying out loud. My mom noticed she was nice to the other patrons there. The subtle racist vibe ruined an otherwise delightful meal.

There were 8 of us at the round table in the corner, and we ordered everything that sounded good to us from the menu. Our conclusion: Total satisfaction.(And I rarely enjoy Chinese food, but this place was the exception.) Fresh — really fresh — food, lots of organic options, excellent service, magnificent aquariums to ogle the eyes. The eggplant was uncommonly delicious. The organic asparagus was cooked to perfection. Marvelous variety of flavors and textures for all of us to enjoy. It was a meal to remember with good friends. Much appreciation.

We usually hit Tommy’s Wok on the way home from SF to Sebastopol. Based on my latest visit, this place is now my favorite Chinese Restaurant in the Bay Area! The last meal I had here was simply spectacular! The Pot Stickers are house made and fabulous. We also had Hunan Prawns which was to die for! Mongolian Beef was wonderful, Highest quality beef I’ve had with Mongolian Beef. I just wish this was closer to home.

It is always such a treat to take my family to this establishment. My wife, kids and I love coming here. The service is outstanding, they are always on top of everything and the food is absolutely amazing. It;s a great place to sneak out with my wife on a date night or even take the whole family. The Crab puffs were off the chart, so delicious as well as so many other items on the menu.

The food is really good here but the service is rally bad. Forget about a refill on your drinks it’s not going to happen. They should step it up.

The food is very good… yet i have been coming for years and the last 6 months i ALWAYS order the Same Dish nearly EVERYWEEK… last time i went, the portion was very small and i complained… mgr denied anything was different n insisted that the portion and arrangement was always the same. POORCUSTOMERSERVICE… guess you don’t need my $ 1200 a year purchases… do you even care? maybe not… not returning

They have great lunch specials. Use fresh produce. Very speedy service and attentive. But the greatest is the lychee hot tea that they serve. This amazing pot of hot tea was the perfect addition to the meal; warms the body and soul. Enjoy!

Came here with the family after the Bay Area Discovery Museum after searching for nearby restaurants. The lady at the counter saw our 2 year old som and suggested we sit by the aquarium. I am glad she suggested this because kept him entertained. The waiters were attentive and the food was delicious. You won’t be disappointed if you’re close by.

I’m giving them 5. That’s right…5. We had a great dinner here. We(3 adults) all thought the food was simply great while the non-adult(1 kid) also enjoyed his«modified» dinner while having fun at the same time. I believe she was the owner but the person went out of her way to teach my son how to use his chop sticks. She went and retrieved a little tool that helps kids learn. Maybe I’m a sucker for that personalization but it was certainly nice and made the evening that much better. I really enjoyed the food. We all did. As usual, we ordered a number of different dishes. When you have(3) adults all commenting during the dinner about the food you either have 1) people that are hungry and they’ll say anything or 2) they really did like it. I’m pretty much out of creativity tonight but what I can say is that we’ll be back. Absolutely. We’ll say it’s «T-Wok Time»… okay, that’s corny.

I only came here for take out. It was a Sunday evening and they were fairly busy. The ambience is pretty fancy but walking in and eating in gym clothes in totally oaky. They have a salt water wish tank that is beautiful and well kept. The to go order took about 10 minutes which isn’t long at all compared to how many people were there. The food was oh my god delicious. I would drive to Sausalito just for their cream puffs and orange chicken. It was fairly inexpensive, although they do have more expensive dishes. I will be back!

I have been going to Tommy’s Wok for years now, and like an old shoe that’s too comfortable to throw away, I keep coming back… even though I find it just… okay. The pros; Very fresh vegetables in their mixed veggies dish, and they always are very accommodating in adjusting the level of garlic for us. The egg rolls are super crispy, even after take out. Lemon chicken that is not too cloyingly sweet, with lots of tanginess. The cons; Kind of brusque service when busy. Rice is really inconsistent. Sometimes it’s perfectly done, sometimes underdone, lots of times pretty gummy. Chow mein is bland. They close so early! But that’s the norm for Marin,

The restaurant is spotless. It’s the first thing that you’ll notice. Service was efficient. Very subdued personalities here. Finding good Chinese food in the Bay Area is like trying to find good pizza. It’s really hit or miss. To me, Tommy’s Wok wasn’t anything special. Just ok. My favorite in the city is Hunan Homes on Jackson. «Tommy’s Chow Mein» included chicken, pork strips and shrimp. It was bland. The corn soup that started things off was excellent.

Some of the best take-out on the planet. I am usually disappointed with take out cuisine but this place rocks with fresh, organic, made from scratch flavors. The spicier side of the menu features beef in hot chili peppers, eggplant and tofu in soy and pepper flakes, and hot garlic noodles.

Clean, well lit, and welcoming. the food outstanding, presentation colorful and inviting. From the standard egg rolls, to, a, veggie dish of greens. Lemongrass Chix, and Prawns with asparagus all scrumptious with NO fillers of crap, that you dont eat and just push aside on the plate. if I lived closer I’d be there tonight

I was hesitant to try this place because I’m not in to Chinese food that much. But boy am I into it now! This place probably has the best Chinese food I have ever had. They use quality ingredients and use responsible meats so you know you are getting the best. I love the orange chicken. Probably my favorite dish there. I have tried many others and they are just as good but there is something about that orange chicken! The place is conveniently located, reasonably priced for the quality of food you are getting, and the service is good. This place is a winner in my book. I’ll be a repeat customer for sure. In fact, I already am.

The unmistakable aroma of Szechuan style Chinese food permeated the air as I pulled in. I am weird when it comes to Szechuan food. Some veggies found in their stir-fries often fry my ass like canned water chestnuts, carrots and snow peas. I also dread the ubiquitous presence of a goopy looking thick brown gravy. Needless to say, Szechuan style cooking is not my favorite. Although I was apprehensive initially due mainly to my quirky likes and dislikes, I decided to give this place a try. I was glad I did. When ordering, I was careful to avoid these veggies I detested and lo and behold… no dreaded brown sauce was found either. Sadly, the appetizers didn’t tickle me as much. It was pretty much the regular run-of-the-mill egg rolls, pot stickers and some basic dim sum like ha gow(shrimp dumpling), siu mai(pork and shrimp dumpling) and steamed BBQ pork buns. So I skipped the appetizers and moved on to soup. The soups were mostly adapted for the American palate. I decided on the quintessential Hot and Sour soup($ 8.00) mainly cause I haven’t had it in years. I have to say though it tasted more sourness than heat. It was however a great way to whet my appetite. The soup had chockfulls of shredded chicken and organic soft tofu. To spice up the dinner in a literal sense, I went off the menu and ordered a traditional Szechuan Ma Po Tofu($ 11.00). To appreciate this dish, you must first of all like tofu(duh!). Secondly, it is best eaten with a little heat. Thirdly, it can be healthy and made into a vegan dish. The rendition in TW was pretty much the original Szechuan version and surprisingly well done. I opted for a combination of tofu and minced pork cooked in an unsweetened bright red chili and black bean sauce. It was sans veggies and cornstarch so the sauce was light and not thickened. The Snow Pea Sprouts wok tossed with fresh garlic and shallots($ 11.00) was an instant winner. The sprouts were crisp and savory with the garlic cloves tossed to just the right consistency to be eaten whole. Order this as it is not to be missed! Fresh Asparagus in Black Bean Sauce with Prawns and Jumbo Scallops($ 17.00) was another good choice. It was a simple dish packed with flavor. The addition of red chili peppers gave it an added kick and was an excellent main to go with brown rice. Again there were no gooeyness, the sauce not overly sweet and the asparagus was fresh and crisp. My minor gripe was the prawns and scallops were a tad overcooked. The prawns shrunk a little and the meat was not as soft as I liked them to be while the scallops were a tad rubbery. Also the scallops were not jumbos as described in the menu. Overall, the entrees tonight tasted fine although not the best. It wasn’t too heavy and greasy like in most Szechuan restaurants. In keeping with the times, TW recognizes the need to promote healthy eating by the judicious use of free-range meats and organic produce. The staff was friendly and cordial quite unlike some other Chinese restaurants. Prices are a little steep but then we are talking about Sausalito! By the way, Tommy is neither the owner nor the chef!
