I have liked many dishes in this very Marin version of Chinese food. Service is great, the people in the take out area really hustle. Tonight was different: I ordered spicy Kung Pao Chicken tonight and what I got was a plate full of onions, 3 cashews, of course the chicken, and water chestnuts, and not the least bit spicy. I mean even for a white girl, this was bland. I ended up counting the onions which we had to pull out of the dish because it seemed so ridiculous that there were so many. 36… thirty six enormous chunks of onion in a dish that doesn’t even feature onion in it’s name. And such a small serving, those onions were just ridiculous. I don’t mind celery in that dish, but nothing with a little snap or crunch. Do the 3 cashews count? Hot and Sour soup has nothing in it but a few strands of bamboo shoots, and way too many sprouts. That in a thin tasteless but peppery broth, I could not figure out what happened tonight. Normally good food. Tonight? MEH I tried emailing them but their inbox is so full the mail bounced back. I didn’t want to Unilocal a complaint since I like this place. Just not Kung Pao. blegh

Love this place. Waiters are friendly. My favorite dish is the Harmony beef! Some of the best hot and sour soup.

Super fresh and not greasy at all. Loved all the steamed dumplings. Definitely will go back. Norman is terrific and made us feel like family. Bonus outside tables so you can dine here with your pooch. Scrumptious potstickers too.

This is a very expensive place. Food portions are very small. The wait staff needs help too. Overall bad experience. I felt taking advantage of…

Love this place. Can be pricey for dinner but the lunch special is a great deal. I rate it 5 stars because they use local and good quality ingredients. Both the signature chicken and beef are delicious! Kung pow is yummy too. Owner is super friendly.

Wow it is packed today. People are even waiting outside in the cold. Grabbed some of my usual favorites and now I get to sit in traffic smelling these amazing treats. Can’t wait to get home and devour them yum yum Great food, I just took off one star because of the wait time and standing in the cold.

Initial impression is Poor. At 7:13pm I stood at the reception desk for 7 minutes with no hostess in sight. Made eye contact with multiple servers, but no one offered me service. When I finally asked for assistance I was shown a side area for take out. I hope the food is better than the service, because the front room service stinks. Almost walked out. I’ll update after I try the food. Unfortunately the takeout food was not good. I had 3 different desert items and the quality/taste was poor. I won’t be returning to this location.

Well i didnt want to drive to the city for sunday dim sum so thought i would give these guys a shot. The dim sum was so so. The shrimp were tiny, the pork was good but there were only a few ground up peices. The only good thing was the sticky rice. Overall just not good. On top of that, this is the most expensive dim sum i have seen. Maybe the chinese food is better but the dim dum is horrible.

Grabbed a few items to-go today, Corn dumpling, Mache dumpling and spring rolls. Under impressed. Dumplings both were rice wrapped, A bit firm for my liking, maybe under steamed. The fillings were fresh, quality produce, but just didn’t bring much in terms of a good bite of food, somewhat bland and toothy. $ 5.00 for 3 pieces is atrocious maybe it would be OK to list this price at an airport food court, if you need to set this price point, up the order to 6 dumplings, an additional $ 0.20 in food and labor cost for a more satisfied customer. Spring rolls were good, crunchy, fresh, good texture of the filling and glass noodles, but it’s still a spring roll. I will likely take my Dim Sum dollars else where.

Decided to give Harmony a shot for dinner tonight. For a party of 4 — $ 122.00! without Alcohol. Fried calamari– a little undercooked, but had good flavor $ 11.00, signature beef $ 16.50 very good, Kung Pao chicken $ 13.00 tasty, prawns with BB $ 19.50 delicious and a definite must order, Broccolini $ 10.50– very small portion and very crunchy, pot stickers $ 22.00(6) and pork buns $ 5.00 along with two diet cokes. The food was good– not great but very fresh. The four star rating is for the prices being on high side –and portions which tend to be on the small side. We love coming for lunch — for around 8 $ you can order a portion which can easily feed two people and is freshly cooked. A much better deal. Marin prices at it best! But. We really like the food and will be coming back. The service is good for Marin(which says a lot!) and the venue is super clean.

We tried the Freestyle Dim Sum… loved it. Cute décor can be a good date restaurant or very casual flip flops nite… goes both ways. The staff is extremely friendly and very efficient! Your food comes out very quickly and fresh. Try the Scallop Siu Mai… that was our favorite!

Huge selection and looks like the dim sum offerings could be great. I wasn’t overwhelmed by the potstickers I chose. Also the Mu Shu Pork wasn’t terribly tasty. I will go back and see if my taste buds are perkier. The interior is very nice. Service good. I thought the prices for the dishes were a tad too high.

My boyfriend took me to Harmony for date night. The staff was very sweet and friendly. We ordered wonton soup, the Shanghai dumplings, their signature beef, and snap peas with enoki and mushrooms. Everything tasted very fresh and clean. My favorite was the snap peas dish and it was a nice balance with the beef. I was expecting larger portions but pretty satisfied by the quality of the food. For dessert we had the mango pudding. I’m not a big fan of pudding but this one was delicious, not too sweet and you can taste bits of mango pieces! Had a great time and definitely coming back again :-)

Just revisited Harmony Restaurant for the first time in awhile. The food which had already impressed me, tasted better than before. Tried the Shanghai dumplings, the meat tasted extremely fresh. The Harmony Beef was savory and delicious. The portions were just right and can’t wait to visit again!

Wow here’s a spot for great Cantonese cuisine. This restaurant is beautiful inside with very friendly and professional servers. The menu covers it all to include dim sum at night. They offer a vegetarian selection for vegans. The beer and wine list are impressive. Close to the freeway and plenty of parking available. I will bookmark this one for my next visit.

Over priced and not worth it. I paid $ 17.90 for 3 orders of chocolate sesame balls. The receipt says banana for some reason. The man at the take out counter where I ordered charged me a flat $ 33.00 which was supposed to include the 3 sesame ball orders &2 tiny orders of chow mein and a tiny 1 potsticker for my 2 children. How can $ 33-$ 17.90 = this teeny tiny amount of food. Either they’re really ridiculously overpriced or I got ripped off. I plan to call the business tomorrow to complain. Very very strange. I asked the man at the counter why it is so expensive but his English was not that good. In fact, neither I or my two kids could understand what he was saying and there were people waiting in line after me to order so I didn’t want to make a scene. How’s this absurd amount of $$ for this tiny amount of food even possible. I can get 3x that much on Clement St for only $ 10.

I went to Harmony for dim sum. They have a take out section(separate door) with a glass case showing what is available, and a lovely, peaceful(and a bit fancy for dim sum!) dine-in restaurant. I’m accustomed to the clatter of mobile carts loaded with choices, and was a bit disappointed that the place was so quiet you could have heard a dry noodle drop! The dim sum were good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but good, but OMG the PRICES! $ 5.00 for one small plate containing 3 dumplings! The service was good, and you could see the cooking area behind a counter, with several chefs working. If you want to eat outside, you can sit at a concrete table with your choices from the take-out section. Would I hurry back? Doubtful! I’ll head to Clement Street in San Francisco for the sound of moving carts clattering in my direction. In those places: Ambiance? Zero! Food? Divine!

TLDR; The food was great, our waitress was very rude. Im an easy customer, i don’t ask for special preparation or for the chefs to change the menu just for me. I want to see what kind of game you are bringing to the table and i have to say Harmony does Dim Sum with style and substance. We had the scallop siu mai, turnip cakes, pot stickers, and the harmony spring roll(avocado lettuce and peppers). We came about an hour before closing, but everything was still fresh and delicious. Food was out quick, and im generally very happy with the experience. The waitress though, this would have been 5 stars if not for her. She looked at me with disdain because i asked her about the prices, which are not on the dim sum menu. She brought a receipt with the prices on it, left the table and turned with the smuggest eye roll ever. Really, she is very talented at turning her nose up in the air, you’d think she was a rothschild and not waitstaff. In all i cant ding the restaurant too much since her roll is so incredibly minor(i go out to eat for the food). I would give them 4.75 if i could. To the owner if you are reading this, please have a chat with her about her attitude.

You that feeling when you go somewhere and you feel more welcome and loved than anywhere else. That’s how I feel when I go to Harmony. The people are so welcoming and so nice, you feel like you are in paradise. Yesterday we tried signature chicken and it is AMAZING! Never had it before but from now on I will order it on the side of soup!
