Came here with a couple of friends while visiting Savannah for the first time. I found the venue very unique and the various Abe Lincoln drawings were really cool. The bartender was really nice and helpful in deciding on what beer I should get. The notice in to bar though was unbelievably loud; between the music from the juke box and the men yelling at each other I was a little uncomfortable being there with my friends(whom I was trying to communicate with).

Nice little hole in the wall spot. Went here one year on New Years Eve as it was the closest bar to our parking spot. Good drinks friendly staff and nice little bar. Had fun there.

Awesome«dive» bar! Friendly staff and reasonable drink prices. Great place to chat with locals and learn more about Savannah if you’re from out of town. Fun night!

Although not friendly to the outsiders… you need to pop into this local pub for a low light basement with a good olé stank! I’ll be back for another as I hate tourist traps.

Great little hole in the wall! If I lived in Savannah, this would be my haunt of choice. Great bartenders, good music and it didn’t seem to be a touristy spot. Highly recommend in any season. Cozy basement tavern with a quaint garden patio.(I checked good for groups and good for dancing, but I guess that just depends on your group. And your dancing.)

Mixed feelings here. It’s one of my favorite Savannah pit stops but it’s also easy to see why so many feel so put off. We like to hit it and quit it and so should you, that’s my advice. I mean, they’re worth a drink or two. More than that, really, but there are so many places. Start your night off here or stay the day, that’ s my advice! And I’ll say this because you should give credit where credit’s due, but once in a heavy rain, they lent me an umbrella to move on to the next place. I’ll never forget that. 5 stars just because. Plus, I always wish I were there readying to start a night of fun!

Recently visited Savannah for a long weekend and wound up at Abe’s. Doesn’t feel uptight and wasn’t pricey. Even though I was from out of town I felt right at home. The bartender Mike gave friendly service and recommendations for things to see in town. The napkins full of Abe drawings taped on the wall and corn hole /foosball make it a fun place. Would go again!

Cool bar! Really well themed with the Abraham Lincoln stuff! There was 1 bartender working when we went(on a Friday night I think) and he was KILLING it! He didn’t seem overwhelmed even though the place was packed. I just had a beer so I can’t speak to the quality of the cocktails but it’s a really cool spot.

A hole in the wall place but I would recommend trying it if you are visiting Savannah. I love this place even though it’s far away from the other bars. It’s a good place to start your night at. There is a room in the back to play Darts and Fuse ball and the drinks are really cheap as compared to the other places, which is a win-win situation for me. You can get a big can of PBR for $ 3. The bartenders are friendly as well.

Best place I’ve drank in Savannah yet. Low key and no bullshit tourist trap. Good music and a cool atmosphere. I think this place is great for everyone an it’s pretty chill.

It’s been a while since I have lived in savannah, but I was back in town for the weekend and stopped in. Abe’s is still the best place for locals downtown– they have some great beers on tap and awesome folks on staff(Marianna, you are the BEST bartender). Tip: try the Monday Night Brewing selections, you won’t be disappointed.

Biggest bitch bartender. We came in on a pub crawl, there were 5 people in the entire place prior to 13 of us walking in and she refused to play our songs from the jukebox. Worst experience ever. If could give this zero stars if I would.

Great hole in the wall bar. Unpretentious atmosphere. Entertaining ginger bartender. Grab a napkin and add to the drawings of Abe Lincoln. Go there and drink.

Small dark bar with tons of Abraham Lincoln napkin drawings everywhere. It’s worth the trip into the bar just to see the talent of people’s napkin drawing skills.

«Drink ‘n’ Draw» and local bands, the staff and the friends they bring in, and the amazing promotions they draw from local and inter-state brewers is great. What makes this place is the staff. EVERY time I’ve visited,(which is much less frequent than it should be!) I have always gotten the best service, from friendly staff. Yes, when it’s packed, you have to wait to use the bathroom. Prepare yourselves accordingly. Saturdays downtown in fun bars are ALWAYS a mess, but the staff and customers at Abe’s are always good for a positive story, a great choice of beer, and decent prices. Heads up: tall people should be aware of doorways.

Like Abe said himself… In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years! I just wasted 60 minutes of my life at this«dive»! Savannah is known as a friendly town, so don’t bother visiting this place as the locals look you up and down and speak loud enough to make sure you can hear them… Apparently it was an off day and all the regulars played the rude card! Hey douche bag… F YOU! The bartender was just not interested in helping anyone who was not the«hey Norm» crowd, so PBR me and go away! I actually would have given 2 stars on the metal they play, but I can’t even bring myself to do it! Great concept of drawing Abe on a cocktail napkin, but I think they pull them down once a quarter… Again I would waste my time even drawing! Bottom line… This is one HELL of a drinking town and I wouldn’t walk across the street to even get a $ 2 dollar PBR!

Not a spot that is welcoming to tourists. If you are not a local owner, not the place to go.

When it’s not busy, this is a nice place to stop for a beer. I don’t feel like I’d go out of my way for it, but it’s normally pretty quiet and comfortable. Just don’t use the jukebox. While we were there, someone loaded up a lot of crappy music on it. It doesn’t even use the existing speakers in the place, it plays out of the unit itself and the bar’s background music stays on as well.
