My boyfriend and I are a big fan of this place, we go almost every time we’re in Savannah. I love the«make your own burger option» I always go for the fried green tomatoes on my burger and my boyfriend loves the buffalo chicken dip option. The servers are always wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about this place!

This place is fine. Burgers were A-OK. They could upgrade their buns. There are plenty of TV’s and they even broadcast sports onto the side of a neighboring building. Your kids can misbehave and generally get away with it. They have a good beer selection and they’re in walking distance of everything river oriented. Give it a shot.

Had a group dinner(about 20 of us) here on a Friday night. They had plenty of space and accomodated us, however, the service was extremely slow(took a long time to get all our food) and unresponsive. We weren’t offered drinks frequently or checked on and we probably waited 30 minutes or more for our food. When it finally arrive, they brought ½ the food to our table then the other half came more than 5 minutes later. My burger was cool by the time I ate it. They did not handle our group well at all. Otherwise, the food was pretty good… although my burger was a bit under-cooked(I ordered medium and it was medium-rare, if that.) They definitely have a good selection of burgers and toppings. Positives: Good selection of burgers and food was pretty good overall. Negatives: A bit expensive, don’t handle groups well.

Wings were a huge hit. Sides(all fried) were #delicious. Everything but the burger was good.

Stopped in Savanna on our way to FL, and I absolutely loved Savanna! Beautiful little city full of traditional southern charm. We stopped in for a quick lunch before getting back in the road, and we loved the street-side seating. The food was ok, absolutely nothing special, but our service was awful. Clearly we were tourists, which can probably get kind of old, but we were kind and just tried shooting the shit with our server and he clearly did not want to engage. To be quite honest, he acted like a tool pretty much the entirety of our visit. Came back once to deliver our food, then dropped off our check, and that was it. We eventually had to go inside for someone to cash us out. He was not friendly ATALL, and pretty much acted like we were just an annoyance. However we were a PAYING annoyance, So you might want to try just a little bit, just fake it if you have to. Then the final nail in the coffin for us was the treatment of a homeless man that had sat down at one of the tables to quickly tie his shoe and put a newspaper in his backpack. Presumably the manager stormed out and was a total asshole to this guy. He was not causing any trouble, he was actually nicer than the waitstaff here and actually welcomed us to Savanna which was more than we got from anyone working here. The guy tried to explain to the man he was just tying his shoe quickly and would be on his way, and the manager was extremely condescending and talked over him, and then said he was not welcome there. Really? You’re an asshole, and there are plenty of better ways to kindly ask someone to leave without talking loud enough for others to hear you belittling and embarrassing another human being. We were the only customers out there and we literally heard you tell the man that customers had complained about him sitting out there and that was a total lie. He didn’t bother us at all and we made sure to let him know that. I’ll be honest, I would never go back here for a multitude of reasons. The food was boring and uninspiring, the service was pathetic, and your management needs some serious attention on how to deal with unique situations. I understand that Savanna may have an issue with a large homeless community, and it can be a problem, however it was handled completely wrong. I hope you are never treated with the same amount of disrespect that my family witnessed you treating someone to, then again, if you were, you’d deserve it.

Yesterday my fiancé and I were looking for somewhere to grab lunch near our hotel and happened upon B&D Burgers and it was just what we wanted, it was very laid back not super crowded and our waitress was really friendly and helpful. I got the alligator sliders which are delicious and my fiancé got the club sandwich and he loved it. We also were excited to see they had Abita Andygator on their menu and had a couple of those as well. If you’re looking for simple but great food at a reasonable price and a really chill atmosphere you’ll enjoy B&D Burgers!

OK atmosphere but I like the idea of having a choice of meat on my burger(bison, turkey, vegan) And over all the food was good! Prices was good and we enjoyed our meal!

The burger is great! The service was fast, so fast that I felt she was trying to rush me to finish my food and get off her table. We also ordered $ 9 cheese fries(spud mountain) that may have had almost no cheese and hardly any bacon. Disappointing. Probably won’t be back to this location.

My husband and I decided to pop in here today for a quick lunch. I am so happy we tried it out! He got a burger(the one with teriyaki sauce and pineapple) and I ordered their savannah dip sandwich. My sandwich was amazing! I usually don’t eat much for lunch, but I seriously could have eaten another. My hubby liked his burger, but said it wasn’t really worth what we paid for it. Overall, it was a great experience. Our server was attentive and friendly. And the noise level was fine! I will return again!

I was craving a ridiculously good burger, and was encouraged by the taxi driver to try this place. The service was good, and our waitress was fast and attentive(which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2) When the burger arrived, I was so ready to dive in… but it was sooo lackluster. It was not fat and juicy, it was more thin and moisture deprived. I really wanted to like this place, but it just did not deliver. I will say… the chocolate shake was really good though.

Initially, we weren’t aiming to go there. It was recommended that my friend and I go to the Kayak Café. Fresh And Friendly, the sign announced. The hostess may have been fresh, but she sure wasn’t friendly. My friend asked how long the wait would be, and she said sharply, «I don’t know. I need to assess the situation.» Then, she began to loudly bark, «everybody over here,» as she gestured to a corner of the restaurant. I felt like we were in a concentration camp. So we left. Down the street, we saw this Burger Place. My friend, who is a great omnivore, was wanting a good burger. They had outside seating on this beautiful day. Our server, Alex, was kind, attentive, and did not bark at us once. He took our wine orders, which were severed in plastic cups, but I guess the restaurant is fearful of serving glass outside. Wine was good, however. So many choices! As a vegetarian, I could have ordered around 10 things here. I decided to build my own burger. I chose a gluten free bun, veggie patty, pimento cheese and fresh jalopenos. I also got a side salad with blue cheese dressing to go with. My friend got some kind of meat burger and fries. I sampled one of her fries. Very good and perfectly seasoned. Back to my burger. That bun was the best gluten free product that I have had. It was soft and not too dense. The burger was flavorful, and I was drowning in delight eating that pimento cheese and those fresh jalopenos. The salad was fresh and crisp, coddled gently in blue cheese dressing. In fact, I just ate lunch recently and wish that I had that same meal right now. So, Kayak Café, thanks for being less than welcoming. We had the best lunch just a few doors down the street.

This place was recommended to me by a colleague. He said it was the best burger I’ll have and e was absolutely right! Aside from the burger, I started with the alligator fritters with the house sauce and that was made to perfection! The meat was absolutely tender and the sauce added the perfect kick. I got the Colonial Burger — Angus beef, fried egg, bacon, and veggies on a pretzel bun. By far one of the best burgers I’ve had! I’m going back tomorrow for the elk burger!

Okay, I really don’t get the graphic artist that put this sign together. Passing it earlier in the day I really thought it said BAD Burgers before taking a closer look. Coming back here on a coincidental recommendation later in the day I had a build it yourself burger of Elk, Bacon, BBQ Sauce, Lettuce and Tomato, on a pretzel bun with onion rings. That, and a nice draft beer, made for a wonderful evening meal on a good weather evening sitting at one of two(I believe) tables outside.

Average burgers with high prices. Not any better than 5 Guys for double the cost. Service was good and the location was great. If you want a really great burger try the Crystal Beer Palace.

I didn’t know what to expect based on the look of the restaurant but the service was good and the food came out quick. They offer a wide variety of beer and food. I tried the The Colonial and it was great. They offer Elk as a meat and I was tempted to try it, but decided not to for my first time. It’s a great choice if your looking for a good burger

Every Southerner loves Fried Pickles, right? Well if you’re the right kind of Belle, you’ll love the pickles here. They’re light and crispy, like beer batter. You can”t eat just one – promise! There are two locations in Savannah, and having eaten at both, I think the Broughton St. location deserves some shine! Even though this place is know for their burgers, I liked the side dishes and drinks the best. I wouldn’t rave about the quality of a B&D Burger, only because Savannah is known for serving some pretty awesome burgers. But, I will applaud all the options they give you. If you can think it, you can build it here. As far as the bar, try their apple cider drink. It has just enough Crown Royal to warm up the coldest in your friend group. It’s too hot out for cider, you say? Just chillax and try it anyway. If you want a cool, local, fast and fun environment, stop into B&D.

I really wanted to love this place. I was nervous walking in because of the low Unilocal rating but some people who were eating outside yelled at us and told us that the food was amazing, and we were starving, so we decided to chance it. The menu looked pretty inventive, so we went with the more adventurous options, but were pretty let down. With all of the great options for places to eat in Savannah I’m sad that we wasted a meal on this place. I got the Fort Jackson, which was described as being«Bombarded with Buffalo Chicken dip and apple smoked bacon for $ 10.49. There was maybe a tablespoon of the chicken dip on the burger. The beef was flavorless and tasted like it hadn’t been seasoned, and the bun was clearly stale and hard. Harry got the Ellis Square with«habanero jack cheese, provolone, apple smoked bacon and fresh sliced avocado» for $ 12.49. The avocado was unripe and we had the same problem with the stale bun. Our waitress disappeared after taking our orders and we didn’t see her again until she came to drop the check, not bothering to ask if we wanted anything else before doing so, which kind of annoyed me. Also, there were lots of gnats in the restaurant and one even flew into my half-full beer and turned it into his own personal swimming pool. They were nice enough to fully replace the beer, but it was kind of annoying that it happened at all.

I was wondering around downtown looking for some grub and happened upon this place. I am a huge sucker for burger joints, so naturally I wandered in and bellied up to the bar. It happened to be mid day, so there was not a lot of folks dining, so the atmosphere was quiet, but the service was friendly and attentive. Now, on to what this place is known for… the burger. I ordered the«Wormsloe» which is a pimento cheese and fried green tomato topped burger. I opted to go with the beef, instead of getting any other meat variety(which I must point out is a cool thing! The variety of meat adds to allure of the place?). Again, I am a fella who loves his burgers, so my hopes were high… especially since I was the only person left in the place when I ordered, so I was like«oh yeah, they are going to baby this burger!» instead of getting it mid-rush. Well, my excitement was short lived. I must say I was less than impressed with every layer of the burger. Pimento cheese was almost indistinguishable from the fried green tomato that sat on top of a dry burger that was ordered medium. The thought behind this burger was amazing, the execution not so amazing. Don’t get me wrong, it was not terrible, but it was sadly underwhelming. So, I hate to leave it on a sad note, so I must say that the onion rings were ONPOINT! I have zero complaints about them bad boys, except that they weren’t all you can eat! Overall, the service was good, the beer selection was strong and diverse, but the namesake of the restaurant was lacking for me. It wouldn’t keep me away in the future, but it wouldn’t have me running in either.

I came in here looking for a good burger and pretty much found what I was looking for. This is a fairly informal style place, with a small bar where you can sit or there are a number of booths along the wall. It’s a full service restaurant and serves beer and wine. There is a large selection of different types a burgers. I had one that had an avocado style dressing along with the normal lettuce, tomato and pickle. You have a choice of either a third or half pound of beef, turkey or vegetarian on each burger. The burger was really good and the meat fresh and juicy. It wasn’t greasy or smothered with sauce. You could also tell that the fries were cooked with fresh potatoes. Another good thing about this restaurant is that they have a nice selection of craft beers, and at happy hour they offer them for half off. I got a really nice beer for only $ 3. Service was friendly and quick, food was good, and it was pleasant to sit at thee bar. I recommend this place.
