If you’re looking for a great meal, DON’T go here. Appetizers come before drink orders, entrees are served cold, and when reheated seem to reappear with different sides. Then when the bill comes they charge you twice for the nasty entrees put before you! A tourist joint in a beautiful town, but please stay away!

Love savannah restaurant week. Waiter was on point. We did the 3 course meal. Appetizer fried green tomatoes were great. Also the desserts were pecan pir and apple cherry crisp. The entrees were just ok.

The food was good but the service was beyond awkward. The girl that took us to our table literally stood right in the way of where we needed to go to take our seats. She gave us menu’s, one of which was the early bird menu(we arrived at 7:30) and was not available at the time we were there. We were hoping this poor start to the dinner was just a fluke but our server was just as bad. She tried to talk us out of almost everything we ordered. She tried to up sell us on a bottle of wine that was over twice the cost of the one we had chosen. Then she told me 3 times that I shouldn’t order the pecan pie, even though I really wanted the pecan pie. It was such a weird encounter with her that I almost suggested leaving without eating after our encounter with her. The food was the only saving grace. We happened to visit during restaurant week and we did notice that the appetizer portions were somewhat smaller than normal. The pecan crusted trout was amazing. And that pecan pie that the waitress tried to talk me out of wasn’t half bad.

Had a great dinner last evening. My bartender, Stacey, was on her game and the prime rib was stellar!

Dinner was great and so was the service. The view on the back porch is also also nice so you can see some of historic Savannah while you dine. Its not cheap but it good !!

Great location, friendly & attentive staff, some of the tastiest steak and fish dinners we’ve had in a while, the Chart House was a great Christmas Day dinner choice for out-of-towners visiting Savannah for the holiday. Despite the busy evening, our server was professional and never made us feel rushed, and was especially patient as we selected the wine. These Things Take Time. Would recommend to anyone staying in Savannah…

Great location(right on River St.), good parking, great food and pleasant southern service makes this a definite go to place if you are visiting downtown Savannah. The best item we had were definitely the fried green tomatoes appetizer. There was no grease whatsoever and the sauce they used was perfect. I had the Snapper Hemmingway which was prepared in a very interesting way.(seemed baked and fried) I enjoyed it. The Oysters Rockefeller was nothing special, but the she crab soup was amazing. My wife had the flounder which she thought was above average. Dessert was a apple /cherry cobbler which was very good. The restaurant itself is on multiple levels and reminded me of a ski lodge.

Had Christmas dinner with the family. Very disappointing meal. Ordered the grouper got a sardine it was so small at $ 40 a plate not worth it. Daughter ordered the flounder it was decent son-in-law ordered salmon it was OK. I ordered the prime rib it was OK good taste but cold. Was never asked how our food was. Poor service will not return next year. Not worth the $ 210 spent.

First off, make sure you get the lava cake. This thing is amazing. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. I would not recommend the shrimp scampi. There were only 6 shrimp, which were overcooked and still had the tails on. My girlfriend got the paneed chicken. The chef came out before the meal to explain that he had to redo the chickeb because he was not happy with the first. And the second chicken was definitely worth the wait.

Fish tacos were amazing! Loved the truffle fries and the ahi nachos as well! Best mango mojito I’ve ever had. Right in the river — you can’t beat it!

I absolutely love… love… love The Chart House. This was one of my first restaurants to experience on the east coast! I had the stuffed tilapia with the ahhhhhmazing creamed spinach. The fried green tomatoes for my app. White wine and an amazing view on the terrace. You can literally see the Savannah bridge. Definitely THEE spot for date night. One of the reasons I’m still with my hunnie now. This was our first official date! Great staff & great food. I felt like a queen! You should check them out!

We called and made reservations for a Thursday night upon calling they asked if we were celebrating anything, I told them we just got engaged. We arrived and they had«congratulations on your engagement!» Written at the top of the menu. The restaurant was very nice inside but we opted to sit outside for the view of the river which was wonderful at sunset. Our waiter was amazing, Leron! He was telling us where all the locals go and places to try. We ordered the prime rib and shrimp scampi as entrées. These are a MUST! They were amazing along with the lava cake for dessert. Great place to eat! Best service we’ve ever had! Can’t wait to come back :)

Tried Chart House with a group of friends last night. Mixed cocktails where excellent. Unfortunately, the appetizers, main meal and dessert left a lot to be desired. The steak required a chainsaw to cut, the crab cake appetizers where absolutely awful, and the dessert while slightly better, just didn’t make the cut. You can find better in Savannah.

The staff were extremely friendly, the fried picked were great! We didn’t eat a meal, just stopped for a munchie and cold beer. We Sat outside, right on River St, great location. Definitely will go back!

Best meal we have had in Savannah! Light, fresh, delicious and full of flavor. The shrimp, crab, avocado, mango stack spoke to me and was so good! Their take on the local fried green tomatoes made it feel elegant and overall a delight to enjoy. Not only was the food fantastic, but the view of the river was magnificent and we had one of the greatest servers we have had in any restaurant in the country. Olivia had a fantastic personality, was super attentive and offered great suggestions on food and drink pairings. A must try.

The food is typical for this chain restaurant, although it seemed this location’s menu was more seafood-centric compared to other Chart House’s I’ve been to. The river views were nice. Our party of 5 had the coconut shrimp appetizers and the mango/avocado/seafood salad appetizers which were well presented and tasty. The seafood salad appetizer portion was too large for a starter and as a result the wives skipped mains and went straight to the deserts. Being somewhat full from the starters we tried the crab cake appetizer as our main, nothing spectacular but decent enough. Overall the food was good but nothing over the top. Our biggest complaint was the service provided by our surly waiter Jordan. It was almost as if we were inconveniencing him with our questions on the menu and request to order our mains after the appetizers. I understand the restaurant wants to turn over the tables but on the night of our visit it wasn’t busy so there was no need to make us feel rushed. When one person in our party had requested coffee and after 15 minutes we reminded him he practically spilled the coffee in his haste to pour. The final insult was when our bill was brought to us while we were still enjoying our deserts. No one had requested the bill and we might have wanted an after-dinner drink but none was offered in Jordan’s haste to hurry us out of the restaurant. He really needs to find another line of work. His service level really caused an other wise enjoyable evening to be disappointing.

My favorite place to eat on date night in Savannah. Food is always delicious and the service is top notch. You can’t go wrong with this place if you’re looking to take your loved one out for a special dinner. My husband called ahead of time the first time we came here and he told them it was for my promotion; they gave us special menus with a congratulations to me on the top of the menu. I can’t say enough great things about this place. They take care of you from the time you walk through the door.

This is such a gorgeous restaurant with a breathtaking view of the Savannah River. The only problem is that not everyone gets to see the view from where they are sitting– only those with a window seat. I wish the windows were a little larger so that everyone could experience the view. Other than that, the experiencing was very satisfying. My family and I had Christmas Dinner at the Chart House. I was anticipating a traditional Christmas Dinner but they did not have it, to my knowledge. No worries, I ordered off the menu and was very pleased with my choice. Upon entering the restaurant, our waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu selections. My mom and cousin ordered the Prime Rib and said that it was excellent. I ordered the shrimp scampi. YES on Christmas! What can I say? I’m a pasta kinda girl! Anyway, it was great! The shrimp were big & juicy and the noodles were cooked perfectly. When I paired it with my salad(which was delicious, by the way) I had enough left over to take home and a second meal. That ALWAYS appeals to me. LOL Definitely recommend. It’s a little pricey but definitely worth it for the amount of food and the quality.

This review is for the bar, and the service there… Amazing View! Exposed brick, techno music lightly playing in the background… Wooden beams and posts, mixed with modern art. Just enough TV’s to see sportscenter, for something to look at. Bartender…friendly, expert mixologist — Haylee… good service! Mike, the GM, stopped at the table… Hey! these people really care about the experience you have here. Happy Hour is a good deal, and I will return every time I’m in Savannah. One of my favorite Chart House locations.
