Small and intimate sushi spot near downtown, that seems to be popular. Came here on a Saturday evening and ordered the Pork Belly roll which blends crispy sweet potato, cream cheese, siracha, takuan and eel sauce. It was pretty good! I had heard they had Moscow Mules on tap upstairs and was looking forward to indulging on my visit, but wasn’t able to due to a private event going on. Maybe next time!

I went here for lunch today after having it recommended. I ordered a spider roll and spring rolls to start, both were not great. Then we ordered the Korean short rib bahn mi and that was perfection!!! The beef phở was just ok, and the drunken noodles were good although my husband disagreed. Overall I might go back for another bahn mi, aside from that I would pass.

I was really meaning to try this place while in town but sorta forgot… That’s why I’m super happy we walked by and saw the great atmosphere shine through the windows. We sat at the bar and were greeted by the most attentive fella soon to be moving over to Nashville.(Their loss but it’s clear CO will shine on) Seriously though, my water refills were on point Hahaa. After an intense deliberation we made our choices and not a single one was bad. The menu is seriously exciting. We had some dumplings, the pork buns, a sushi roll and a bahn mi Our only concerning moment was how spicy that short rib bahn mi was, a bit intense but still great, I just think a nice bit more of pickled cabbage would have done great and maybe a lime. I hated how bare the plate of pork buns looked but those were incredible too. I’d highly recommend checking them out when in town, and be sure to check out their little«speak easy» type second floor(it wasn’t yet open but they let us take a peak — picture available.)

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the trendy ambiance of the restaurant complete with communal high top tables and bar stools as well as bar seating around the kitchen. The place was packed even on a Tuesday night. It is seat yourself and as soon as you do, one of the servers is on you to tend to your needs. My friend and I ordered: tofu buns, spicy udon with tofu, Vietnamese pork ramen, and cheesecake wontons. From the first bite of the tofu bun to the last crumb of the crispy wonton, every single item was delicious and cooked to perfection. I’ve had authentic ramen in Japan on about 30 separate occasions and this was first rate! It made me really nostalgic for Japan. The spicy udon was extremely flavorful but had me in tears after a few bites. The cheesecake wontons were one of the most unique desserts I’ve ever had at an Asian restaurant. Pro tip: DEFINITELY ask for their special housemate hot sauce. The flavor was excellent and it paired well with all of their food.

Great food, mediocre service. Drinks looked way better in the Unilocal photos, than they actually tasted in real life. It has the look and feel of an Izakaya but offered mostly Vietnamese fare. Our food was quite good. The portions were small. The bathrooms were clean-enough. They serve up these gourmet-style dishes but nothing is explained. Our waters were barely refilled. Although the restaurant was clean, it felt dirty. I have been to many Izakayas where people are smoking inside and there’s dishes everywhere, and that’s not my ideal type of restaurant but many of those Izakayas had a cleaner feel than the Vietnamese restaurant CO. After spending some time in Hanoi; Vietnamese food is one of my favorite cuisines. I seek out their restaurants all over the world. Stateside in Seattle, Le Fat in Atlanta and Phở Café in Los Angeles and now CO in Savannah. Pay to park or walk there. Bar seating for those eating alone. Large sections for groups. The décor was trying too hard.

Wonderful experience on my way to Orlando from Virginia. This restaurant is the street food style with Asian dishes. I had the beef kimchi dumpling. This is the Sichuan spicy oil wonton version. The pork belly bun is decent. I need the house made Singapore sauce to take the bun to another level. Malaysian wings are gd but my taste bud can’t identify which part belongs to Malaysian. bun bo hue(fusion style) they use better meat than the traditional restaurants. I’m glad I tried the cheesecake wonton. It was special. Pictures attached.

Walked in and immediately I thought hollister lol. It was so dark in here but it’s still a good vibe. Server was nice and attentive. Extra Sriracha was needed and he def. provided in a timely matter, thanks man. Ordered Phở Dac Biet and Bun Bo Hue. Phở Dac Biet was pretty good. Hardly got any beef(2 thin slices literally) and meatballs were very salty but the broth really made up for it. Bun Bo Hue’s broth came out lukewarm but that’s okay felt like I was eating at home so it’s okay lol. Could have been spicer but still good. Lastly, ordered the spicy tuna roll and it was just OK with my soy and Sriracha sauce I just made 5mins ago haha. All in all I still will be back :)

Yummy! First tried this place in Charleston and then realized there was one in my home town Savannah! They have a great happy hour 4 – 7 M-F I believe. Got the pad Thai here and really enjoyed it. Guava mimosa was great! Their cucumber sake infusion is delicious as well. Really modern décor, good service, partially exposed kitchen. I’d recommend it!

I had my first experience with CO up in Myrtle Beach with my husband, so when we discovered this place again in Savannah, we had to come back for dinner! The atmosphere is very casual and great for small social gatherings with some friends. Hubby and I were seated in a booth almost immediately after walking in and the wait for food wasn’t long at all. We ordered the gyoza dumplings and Ahi Poke Ceviche to share, Drunken Noodles for me and the Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi. Ahi Poke Ceviche was a bit too salty for me this time around. I feel like they simply doused the Ahi and salad in soy sauce and called it a day. The Ahi itself was pretty good. The greens were pretty good… but they could’ve done better on the dressing/sauce. The gyozas were a bit on the oily side, but otherwise it was good. The Drunken Noodles had the right balance of noodles, meat(I ordered beef), and veggies. The Tofu Banh Mi was the best I’ve ever tasted and completely caught me by surprise. Ambiance was pretty chic. Do I recommend? Yes… but if you order the Ahi Poke Ceviche, you might want to tell them to go easy on the soy sauce.

In a sea of Shrimp and grits and fried food, CO floats above its competition.(Har har) The menu is simple but has variety. We got sushi, the Hawaiian roll, and Lemon roll. Both were exquisite. The fish was fresh and it wasn’t completely drenched in sauces. The slices of fish were perfect portions. The filling-rice ratio was perfect, if there’s such a thing. Some places put too much rice, yah know?! Also got the Malaysian wings, delish. The caramel pork banh mi, mmmmmm. And the pork belly buns, but I think they accidentally gave me tofu instead, it was still good, hence the 4 stars. The bottled hot sauce is amazing! Overall, the service is friendly and efficient. The vibe is very hip. A full bar upstairs and downstairs. Loved this place!

After a long drive and getting settled in at the hotel, it was time to find something for dinner. Before heading to Savannah I asked a few friends for some recommendations. As soon as I mentioned my love for Asian food I was told to check out CO. Since it was about a one minute walk from the hotel and the last thing I wanted to do was drive, CO it was… I walked in and LOVED the look an feel of the place. The open kitchen is what caught my eye and as you know… I am a sucker for an open kitchen. The head chef was there along with a chef that will be taking over another location. I even managed to get them to pose for a picture. As usual I started off with a glass of unsweetened tea with lime. After looking over the menu I started with the Pork Belly Buns. For my entrée I chose the Drunken Noodles with Shrimp and for dessert I selected the Crispy Cheesecake Wontons. The presentation of EVERYTHING was picture perfect. So you can bet I took pictures… First up was the Pork Belly Buns and the taste was wonderful. The buns were light and crisp which is a bit different than the steamed many other places choose. I have to admit I really liked the texture but the pork belly itself. The flavor of the pork belly was delicate but a bit of the Singapore sauce just kicked it up nicely. Next was the Drunken Noodles. I liked the addition of bok choy and carrots and they were not overcooked which was nice. The noodles themself were perfectly cooked and not glued together. The shrimp were deveined and well seasoned but just a tad overcooked so that«pop» was missing but they were still very good. The heat level was good but that chili sauce was so good I ended up adding all if it over my meal and it made my mouth very very happy! The Cheesecake Wonton was a spectacular. The crunch of the wonton and the flavor of the warm cheesecake was great all on its own. The vanilla anglaise and chocolate drizzle just added a nice sweetness to each bite. The whipped cream in the middle of the plate finished it off perfectly. Atmosphere — 5 Service — 5 Pork Belly Buns — 5 Drunken Noodles — 5 Singapore Sauce — 5 Cheesecake Wontons — 5 Atmosphere, service, presentation and taste… They have it all here. I would love to see CO open a location in Orlando because I believe they would be a hit…

I would give 3.5 but defer to 3. Food was generally not so impressive, but the ambiance was cool, a take on the industrial loft with big window views to the outside, and playing mix of lounge, rock jazz and esoteric new age yet café deal mar Buddha bar-ish music. 4 stars for the ambiance. We had the ahi poke, bun bo hue spicy Vietnamese broth noodle, and the drunken Thai noodle with tofu. The ahi poke was also described as a cerviche, but was I believe to be neither. It does not have the coconut milk drizzle of poke, nor the lime chili tangy zest of cerviche. What it was, a pretty fresh green with rather good ahi sashimi, doused with what I thought was just soya sauce. So it tasted like a good tuna sashimi on a bed of green with generous amount of Japanese sashimi soy sauce, just don’t get too fixated with the fancy names given to it. The drunken Thai noodle was a mystery as I have no idea what that was, seeing that they have a pad Thai dish so it is not a pad Thai, and the ingredients sounded like a pad see ew. Once again, better keep preconceptions in check and just accept that it is their restaurant creation. The noodle dish was dark just like pad see ew but the noodle was the pad Thai noodle not the broad rice noodle. Lots of red onions which I didn’t care for and too little on the beech bunashimeiji mushroom which kinda nudged me into ordering this dish. The spicy Vietnamese noodle turned out most authentic in terms of flavor, what a surprise! Only diff is there’s no pork blood jelly nor knuckle in it. The beef slices were pretty good though. So just have to leave this review to show it from perspective of an Asian who loves his Asian noodle dishes.

What is there not to love about this joint? Asian fusion, Korean dishes, and hand crafted cocktails. Such a nice change of pace for the area! The restaurant is downstairs comprised mainly of high tops that fit two people. It can get a little crowded, and you will be dining at a semi-shared tables. The ambiance and service make up for it though! We had the pork belly steamed buns, dumplings, drunken noodles, and cheesecake wontons for dessert(ORDERTHESE)! Appetizers and entrees are fairly priced and the entrees are especially enough to share with a friend, but the cocktails were overpriced and watered down. If you want to have a drink I would suggest heading to the lounge upstairs(which is seriously a beautiful but underutilized space). And getting one of their nightly specials. They have a Moscow Mule on draft upstairs for $ 5.

Is this place an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, I have no idea but can say it’s GOOD but what do I know. If you plan on stopping by ask for Grace this young lady was amazing and so helpful, she walked us though the entire menu and explained each dish to us. Co should stand for cozy because that’s what this place is small & cozy the key word being small. As for the food the spice level in most of the dishes is kicked up a notch so it’s something to mindful of. Everything that we ordered with guidance from Grace was outstanding which included, wings, spring rolls, drunken noodles & pad Thai. My only issue is their drink menu it’s cocktails, coffee or tea, wine or beer and nothing for those of us that don’t drink. Even with that this is still a delicious destination that you should try out given the chance.

This place was like a mirage in the desert when I first saw it. Beautiful. Inviting. I was driven by thirst in the Savannah heat, after a long 12 hour drive, waiting to check in at a local boutique hotel. Now that the mood is set, I chose this location from their fantastic reviews on Unilocal!and their proximity to my hotel. Stumbling up to the bar, I must have looked parched, because I was greeted with endless glasses of crisp, cold water. Looking over the menu, I was almost at a loss as to what I was going to order. No pictures and food names I could not pronounce. What was I to do?! I finally allowed fate to decided and I pointed to a spicy Vietnamese noodle dish. The food came fast on what I would have thought was on the wings of an angel! Our server was patient, friendly, fast and fun! This place deserves it’s 5 star rating for food quality, quantity, and price, for the fantastic service, and for the amazing facility! All around this is a must do experience when you’re in need of great cuisine and thirsty for a full bar!

Co really deserves a 5-star praise! If you find yourself in Savannah, this restaurant is a must go to if you’re seeking modern, clean, and inviting aesthetics. Our pleasant and accomodating waitress/bartender, friendly staff, crisp lighting and interior, and lively music created a positive and up-beat ambiance perfect for lunch! I ordered the phở ga noodles and I must say, it was one of the most delicious and flavorful dishes I’ve had from an Asian fusion restaurant. Peering across the bar, a vodka called Cat Head Pecan really peeked my interest. I asked our bartender what she would put that in. Not putting it in anything before, she recommended their iced coffee. It was simply a delicious pick-me-up I really enjoyed, especially just after driving 11 hours from Pittsburgh.

Love Love Love this place! I came across this restaurant here on Unilocal and i was excited to try out a new Asian restaurant in savannah. So we stopped in for lunch today, it was pretty empty and we were told to sit wherever made us feel comfortable. anyways, we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender(i think he’s the GM, i forgot his name) was super friendly and inviting. He checked on us constantly making sure we were taken cared of. I was impressed by the food! As someone had mentioned in the other comments,(the cooks aren’t Asian) but the food was exceptional! I was so excited that they had Ahi Poke on the Menu!(Its a Raw fish salad served as an Appetizer in Hawaiian Cuisine). Being from Hawaii, Poke is one of the things i miss the most about home. you can’t really find this type of fish here on the East coast, much less in the South! It was a little different but very similar to the way Hawaiian locals make it. So I’m a Happy girl! Overall, i had a good experience here. The food was great and i love the ambience. Im sure this place will start getting a lot of business as more people hear about it.

Came in to this place after 8 days of being open. Apparently it is a small chain that just opened in Savannah. Asian fusion would best describe this place. Environment is clean, hipsterish, and new. I had the banh mi and a bowl of phở. Prices are $ 6-$ 10 more per dish than what I’m use to paying at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Food was rather good for a kitchen of non Asians! They did a good job of capturing most of the Viet flavoring/spices I am accustomed to in these dishes. However, my pallet could tell some herbs/flavors/textures were missing. Bartender was a cute, young blonde who was very warm and inviting in conversation. She was attentive and made sure I had a good experience. All in a all, I’d visit this place again. Food is good, service was great, and ambiance was inviting.
