We like to go here instead of the 5 million bar and grill touristy places on River Street. It’s never crowded, and the Irish music is kind of fun. Food is great.

The shepherd’s pie is amazing!!! We stopped here bc i was craving some shepherds pie. With that being said, bc im from mass… Im kind of picky! They did NOT disappoint! Service The server was great!!! At the time of our visit there was a huge rain storm going through… Well needless to say we had eaten and paid the tab… Chilled and drank a ton of water after dinner. She never once stopped bringing us water or asking if we were ok… That is HUGE in the service industry to me and goes a LONG way into how i will rate a restaurant!!! If you don’t disappear after i pay the tab… Thats 5 star service to me… Oh also my hubby and i shared a dinner bc we were going to have desert elsewhere…

We had the Irish breakfast burger and the brisket dinner with fries and mac and cheese for sides. The burger was nothing special, nor was the mac and cheese. The brisket was good, not great and the fries were wonderfully crunchy. The big disappointment was the Guinness black and tan was not poured properly, with the pale ale on the bottom and the stout separately on the top. Tsk tsk. Especially for an Irish pub.

Pros: good view from rooftop, good mixed drinks. Cons: the food is sub par, tasteless, and the service is lacking. It was a waste of money and none of the people in my party were very impressed. Would not come again unless it was for drinks.

My husband and I were in the area visiting for a few hours and wanted to grab a drink and something to eat. Our last name is Byrne, so naturally we love visiting anywhere Irish and saw that Kevin Barry’s had great Unilocal reviews. When we walked in the door, we felt like we were in an authentic Irish pub(neither of us have ever actually been in one, but have seen enough movies!). It was lunch time, so the bartender told us the second floor was quite busy and that we could sit at the bar. Although from seeing other reviews, I wish I would have gone upstairs just to see the dedication to our soldiers, but I am so glad we sat at the bar. Our bartender and staff were amazing, the locals were fun, and the other tourists added so much more to our experience. We ended up not exploring more of Savannah because we loved it here so much. The food was even amazing. My husband had the Irish Stew and I had the Reuben and we both liked our dishes. We also started with the pickle chips were delicious and highly recommended! The only thing I wish I would have done is tried the Chatham Artillery Punch after I read how great it was. We will definitely visit Kevin Barry’s next time we are in Savannah!

Lovely little Irish pub great view from the top balcony. Live music going on in the evenings. Cool pictures and memorabilia on the second floor. There are two bars.

Nice looking bar, right on the river, with a fun selection of cocktails and a moderate draft list. Horrible experience with the bartender on 6.11.15, who seemed completely uninterested and aggravated that she had to wait on us. Not sure what the target clientele in the middle of the day is, but we clearly were not it.
