Great place to have a drink. The view of the river is amazing and the breeze keeps you cool. We visited a few days before St. Patrick’s Day and we loved this place. We especially enjoyed chatting with Kimberly(think she is a manager?). She was so funny and she made us feel so welcome. We were sad that we didn’t get a chance for a second visit before our vacation came to an end.

This place better watch it. It’s a great location but probably one of the crappier bars I’ve been to. The bar staff was just pitiful. It was busy but, not unmanageable. I’ve been to places where the bar was much much busier and the services was much much better. There was bar staff just sitting around or talking amongst themselves, without even noticing that a group of people had come sat down. It probably took 25 minutes to order a drink. Another 15 to actually receive it– and that was just sitting at the bar. The view is great, but not if you can’t look at it while enjoying a delicious cocktail.

I haven’t been to Savannah in about a year so this is a new spot for me. Located above the Cotton Sail Hotel, I was most excited for the view. You enter through the hotel and take the elevator up to the top deck(LOL). It is a seat yourself place. The inside is encompassed by a very large bar and some smaller cocktail tables. The outside is like a U shape. There are lounge couches, bar chairs and cocktail tables. They weren’t too busy when we arrived and we grabbed a couch. We ordered our drinks and just relaxed. The weather was absolutely perfect and the view is amazing **See Photo**. It got a little busier as the afternoon went on. Because of that the service got a little slower, but our waitress was nice and apologetic. I ordered the Jalapeño Margarita which is actually called the Spicy Maiden. I had TWO. They were delicious. I had them make it extra spicy though, if you’re into that sort of thing. I also tried the Seaport Sunset. Ironically, it wasn’t too sweet. I would try it again. We didn’t try any food as we were going out to dinner after, but it looked very good as it passed by. Their drinks are a tad expensive for Savannah at $ 9 – 12 a drink, but I am used to that in Miami. The crowd was geat! Young people, older people… except for the people with BABIES. Sorry not a fan. Cant wait to come back! Cheers Savannah!

Coming from Atlanta, I’d hoped to get a nice cocktail and awesome view for that price. The cocktails on the menu were TOO sweet. Best to go with what you know and steer clear of their concoctions. Similarly, the view from both sides of the hotel were ok. Best to be there at sunset on the river side for any kind of view. Prissy attitudes aside, the ambiance was awesome. Super cool DIY oyster shell chandeliers and a chic boutique feel made for romantic pre dinner cocktails. Bottom line: Go for the ambiance… Then leave.

Great atmosphere. Came here while visiting my parents. They were the oldest by a good margin but enjoyed themselves. The day we came was a nice day the end of February and the place was packed! The drinks were very good and there was a nice food selection but we were not hungry enough to order. The only issue was there seemed to be only one server which was not enough for all those people! She did a great job but they should have staffed better.

So it’s a bar and the drinks are really cool, with things like Gin infused with rose petals and vodka with lots of spices and herbs. But here’s the the thing that got is, the FOOD! Amazing tapas, pork pulled sliders and a flat bread to die for! But the mustard sauce OMG. Can’t say more just come and enjoy!

Rooftop bar in downtown Savannah that has a great view of the river. Personally I like it more than Rocks on the Roof. It was a little more chill the night we went and has a nautical theme I liked. Prices were reasonable for drinks — I’m not a cocktail guy but those I were with said their drinks could have been better. Hopefully on return trips I’ll be able to bump it up a star.

Went here with some friends and enjoyed it very much! This is where to take someone out on date night. I love the décor and view, the drinks were great. And the bar bites are also very good. The truffle potato chips were perfect. Crab cakes were delicious. Ordered the red wine of the day and it was very good! One last detail I love are the purse hooks at the inside bar.

An uninspiring atmosphere, coupled with average food, perfectly normal drinks, and a good view just don’t do it for me. Our waitress was attentive, but rather heavy on the attitude. In addition, I expected a much different crowd than the one that we arrived to. It was mostly retirees and older couples. I can only guess that the younger crew comes out later. The final straw was when they charged for soft drinks by the glass… who does that? I wouldn’t recommend this bar and won’t be visiting again.

A great roof top bar on the River Street. It’s on the sixth floor of the Cotton Sail Hotel. The view from the top deck is amazing, you can see the beautiful Savannah bridge. The drinks are expensive but they are strong and worth a try. My favorite is the Savannah Tea. I don’t recommend this place for food. They only have small plates, which aren’t great according to me. But the view and drinks make up for everything else. A great place to hang out with friends and have a great night.

I simply adore Top Deck. The view is relaxing, the drinks are refreshing, and the staff is very attentive. My favorite drink here is the Hibiscus. It sounds flowery, and it is, but be warned: this is not pansy of a drink. You won’t need many. Top Deck has a variety of regulars, and you should be amongst them. If you’re looking for a light snack, their menu is quite tasty as well. All thumbs up.

Top Deck is one of my favorite Savannah Bars, and I have been to a lot of Savannah Bars!(I probably shouldn’t admit to that so openly…) Here’s what Top Deck is best for: dance music, chic and trendy vibe, after-dinner cocktail, social hour, and meeting new people. Every single time I go here I meet someone new from outside Savannah and have a great experience — even met a couple from Germany and a British cyclist here once! Top Deck is the place to go with some friends if you want a little bit of that neon-lighted club vibe without actually going out to a «club» and getting smothered by sweaty people all night. It is also a GREAT place to take visitors if you are trying to show them Savannah, as it has a really incredible view of the Savannah Bridge and you can also see down to River Street when a festival or parade is going on. I would not recommend Top Deck if the bar experience you are looking for is more of the calm, chill, «sipping-on-cordials» kind of night. There are plenty of good places in Savannah for that as well, but Top Deck is more of the party scene. Definitely stop by here when you’re out to celebrate and have a good time with some energetic friends!

Beautiful views of the river and barges passing by. Drinks are unique, delicious and a little pricey but worth the splurge. This is a nice place to start or end a night out.

While out walking the town, my fiancé and I decided to pop in and see what the fuss was all about. Since it was late on a Friday night, we had our ID’s checked and then hands stamped. The inside was pretty nice. The bartenders were friendly. The best part. the view of the water and downtown from outside. I didn’t order a drink but will next time!

A great rooftop bar belonging to the Cotton Sail Hotel. It had amazing views, especially of sunset and the bridge. We got there just after 7pm on Saturday and easily found two empty seats. It was very modern with quite a lot of space. They have a mixture of tall tables and lounge seating as well as a covered indoor area. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. I thought the prices were pretty standard for a place of this kind and the types of cocktails they were serving(but I’m from Chicago so perhaps I’m just used to paying more for drinks?). I would definitely recommend for lounging around on a nice sunny day or a quick drink to take in the sunset!

A very good bar at the rooftop of the Cotton Sail hotel. We came up while staying at the hotel and loved the view over the river and River Street. It got a by chilly once the sun went down, but the heaters they have around were good, just make sure to find a table near to one. Good beer menu at decent prices. Great pkaceto enjoy the beautiful old town.

This was on the top of our beautiful hotel(cotton sail) it’s a very nice bar/lounge. Decorated really nice, when we were there it was cold out, but the outside couch set up would be great to sit out have an app and a drink … drinks were deff pricey. …we didn’t get anything really fun(like their hibiscus martini $ 12) but like vodka/soda $ 8⁄9? We did try some apps.. the pimento cheese and endive, very tasty said homemade. … also a cheese tray, yum, yum, I loved the fig spread with cheese and toast points! Good place to hang out before going out! Bartenders were nice too!

I thought I’d wait until I had been here a few times before I posted on this new establishment. Each time it gets better and better. Last night I had the 1838 — they’re take on the infamous Sazerac. the drink that started them all. Masterly crafted. I’ve had a few of the appetizers now, each one is fantastic! The atmosphere is just what Savannah has needed. Fresh, clean, exciting, new, plenty of lighting… you basically feel like you’re out at sea. on a boat, minus the flippy floppies, because everyone is dressed like they care. The staff is trained and friendly. The bartenders know what they’re doing. There is plenty of comfortable seating outside(on the deck) — great view of the bridge and the river. Look, if you haven’t been, then go. This place is fun and I’m super excited that the doors are finally open.
