We were a group of five celebrating a co worker’s birthday. The food was great and the service was outstanding! Kudos to Justin. We all had something different and everyone raved how good theirs was. They had a great variety of dessert. The banana pudding was okay. I’ve had better. I tried the praline icebox cake and it was delicious. A definite must!

This was a Valentines Day dinner, so the restaurant created a special menu along with a limited menu consisting of items from their regular offerings. I chose the lamb rib chops, sweet potato mash and Caesar salad from the regular menu. The salad was good with the lamb cooked perfectly. The sweet potato mash was most delicious. Finished the evening with the Macon Bacon Brownie. This is ice cream and a brownie topped with bacon. Very tasty. The ambiance was very nice with a low noise level. Excellent service also. Add an excellent view of the River from a window seat and the evening was made very enjoyable.

Four of us went to the restaurant the night before Valentine’s Day. They had a set menu for the night. I had the lamb and it was excellent. Sweet potato mash very good. Caesar salad was dry. Denise the waitress was on point. Good personality. Only bad part is we had a booth near service entrance and workers constantly walking by. Also have to mention how nice the female manager was!

Bad service. Waitress claimed to be pacing our meal but we sat forever between courses. Expected better service as its in a fantastic hotel. Very disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend to friend and family. Better places in Savannah.

First time I ever heard of or tried She Crab Soup. If I could bathe in it I would. If I was rich I would eat it every single day. They make this so good it is unbelievable. I love, love and love it.

This was a huge disappointment. Has the feeling of a trashy, fast food restaurant which has no place in a four star hotel. Although the waitress did her best and the food tasted ok, that could not compensate for the overall atmosphere and clientele which I would not have associated with such a nice hotel. On the contrary, the rocks on the roof has a nice ambience and although you can’t get more than light bites, often has live music and is definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I were having a night on the town when we strolled into this restaurant and he is greeted by Denise who has the memory of a million severs! She is a phenomenal women and she is an excellent asset to the already beautiful and quaint restaurant! Ms. Denise is knowledgeable about the menu and she made suggestions which we followed! The fried green tomatoes were really good With the homemade ranch sauce! I had the salmon and my husband had the shrimp and grits, everything was excellent from the food to the service! The GA peach tea was a nice cocktail option as well. Go visit Ms. Denise knows her stuff!

Had dinner at The Rocks for Thanksgiving and it was a perfect evening! Tes, our waitress, was super sweet and gave some on-point advice. We had two starters — fried green tomatoes — omg*- and spicy cranberry duck wings — definitely saucy. A bit untraditional, I had a German chicken dumpling dish for dinner — Spatzel I think? And a friend tired the butternut squash soup and salad — which were very good. Apparently the soup is a big hit and not on the regular menu, maybe they should change that? I had a champagne cobbler as well, fresh raspberries and really yummy! Would defiantly go back!

We stopped here Ina food your earlier in the day and decided we needed to come back. The service was great and attentive. The food was excellent. I started with the shellfish chowder, which is similar to the She-crab soup, but has more seafood. It was great given the cold rainy weather. Afterwards, we both had shrimp and grits. I was looking for the right shrimp and grits and I found a good contender. It was slightly spicy and very flavorful. We concluded with a huge slice of ice cream cake that wasn’t overbearing. It had pralines and caramel. I would definitely have it again.

Just enjoyed a great and realizing brunch at Rocks. We wanted waffles and got so much more– morning glory muffins, a delicious smoothie and good coffee and fresh squeezed oj. This was a winner!

We had brunch there this morning and it was fantastic. There is nothing negative to say about it. The grits were the best I’ve ever had and the Morning Glory muffin my daughter ordered was fantastic. Not to mention the shot of Baileys they brought me for my coffee. :) The staff were very friendly and on the ball. This is definitely a must in Savannah! Loved, loved, loved it!

We went during Restaurant Week where they had a small specials menu. For an appetizer, i had a calamari salad which had an amazing dressing to it. I loved my half rack of lamb. It was seasoned well and it was cooked so that the meat was very tender. For desert I had the chocolate mousse cake and again, it was phenomenal(but of course what chocolate mousse isnt?) I also have to mention that my husband ordered a dish with truffle oil fries and they were the best fries I’ve ever had. I was skeptical that truffle oil could make that much of a difference but it gave it a light, earthy flavor that was a refreshing change from dousing them in ketchup. The service was also great. Our waiter was really patient with our table since we asked a lot of «dumb» questions about what he recommended for food and wine. I think this restaurant would be a little too expensive on a regular day but since it was Restaurant Week and we each had an appetizer, entrée and desert for $ 25, it made it worth it.

Savannah is a restaurant-filled town, particularly along the river street. In a town where I would almost never pick hotel food over stand alone restaurants, however Rocks is not a typical hotel restaurant. What distinguishes this place is the wait staff, menu selections, and amazingly good cocktails. The menu has a selection for anyone, from a nice cut of steak to a wonderful peach salad! The meat and cheese plate is huge and easily shareable for four people, the calimari has a wonderful flavor, and the bread basket has espresso butter and sun dried tomato butter as well. I had a wonderful meal of scallops and pasta but our large group sampled the menu in its entirety. No complaints in fact many words of praise and surprise for the quality of the food and the strength of the service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal for a good price!

GREAT location. GREAT views. GREAT drinks. GREAT service. Love this place!!! Would give it a 10⁄5 if I could. Highly recommend. It is pricey but it’s worth it for that view.

Good pizza and great service. The beer selection is good and they were very accommodating for a large group. The menu is great, lots of choices and they have daily specials. I recommend this restaurant.

Very mediocre food and atmosphere. We were seated at a booth near the bar, so we couldn’t enjoy the river view at all. Out of all the things our table ordered the only thing that was memorable and tasty was the truffle fries. Hardly any vegetarian and gluten free options. There are way better restaurants to try in Savannah, so don’t waste your time here.

After a long day of traveling my friend and I popped into Rocks for some much needed sustenance. Our waiter was fantastic. Super friendly and very responsive. We started with the Truffle Fries and Calamari. The fries were excellent and a very hearty portion. I loved the special ketchup they came with but was sad there was no aioli which is usually my fav part of the treat that is ordering truffle fries. I also enjoyed the calamari but be aware that it comes with quite a few accoutrements on top and that you should let your server know if that’s not your thing. I loved it, my friend not so much. By the time we were ready to order our main courses we were on our way to being pretty stuffed so we opted to share the white pizza. As a huge fan of white pizza this one did not disappoint and officially stuffed me silly. Rocks is a great spot with unique and inviting décor and excellent food. Definitely worthy of a meal if you’re in Savannah.
