I bookmarked this pub when I first got to Savannah and always heard great things about the food. Finally stopped by yesterday during the St Patty’s day celebration for a quick lunch before we started our day of drinking. Managed to find 2 open seats at the bar and we got quick friendly service right away! I ordered chicken fingers and my husband ordered the sampler which had scotch eggs, meat pie and onion rings. As soon as we took a bite into the food, oh my! It was as if we entered the holy land of bar food. The texture of the batter they deep fried everything in is heavenly. We ate every last bit of food on the plates and ordered another side of onion rings. I definitely want to go back and try their famous burger. If it’s anything like their appetizers I’m sure I’ll be in bar food heaven again. I mean if the kitchen can churn out some of the most amazing bar food I ever had during the busiest day of the entire year, imagine how it would be when the staff isn’t overloaded with foot traffic!

Our experience at Molly MacPherson on an early Sunday evening can be summed up as awkward. We arrived to a half-full restaurant, and after poking around a bit went up to the bar to inquire about seating. After told to sit anywhere and we’d be waited on, we choose the comfortable looking«lounge» area near the back of the restaurant. We soon realized that NOT every seat is waited on, as we waited and waited as the servers staffed kept walking past. After venturing to another table, the experience stayed pretty consistently blah with the exception of Steve’s black and tan Guinness. We tried the Scotch Eggs($ 8 for two eggs), which were severely lacking, and decided to end our evening there as the service was already lacking and the food was unimpressive. I would like to return to Molly MacPherson’s much more tipsy and try a whiskey flight next time. I wish I’d been told about that option by our waiter(waitress…we had multiple people serving, getting drink and food orders throughout the night), they could really use some coaching in the hospitality department.

Food: 4 Service: 5 Ambience: 5 Date/Time: 3÷9÷20167:30pm This was a very nicely decorated bar and grill! It offers darts, a world map with pushpins for customers to pin where they traveled from to get there and the first time I’ve seen a place have a ladies bathroom and a men’s/ladies bathroom… no long lines here but, ladies, watch for that toilet seat before sitting! :-) The service was excellent! Very attentive and friendly! The Molly’s Favorite and the Scottish Highland Toastie sandwiches were very good! The thin slices apple and the maple butter drizzle were good combos with the turkey. Highly recommended. If there were a 4.5 star rating, that’s what this place would get.

So came here at the recommendation of a friend and the fact the owners are from NH, like me. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a pint of Innis & Gunn. Decided to grab a bite and ordered the Scottish Combo which includes a meat pie, scotch egg and onion rings. The food and beer was descent given it’s a pub. The big down side is the lack of care by the bar tender. It started lackluster and dropped from there once her sister arrived and the whole conversation turned to her court appearance and drunk and disorderly charge. Just wasn’t good. I was excited to check this place out but ended up grossly disappointed by the self absorption of staff. Too bad. Think this is a one and done sort of place. This post was made during my actual visit.

Love going to Molly’s and indulging in some yummy pub food. Nothing pretentious of over the top here… just delicious sandwiches and entrees that fill you up and satisfy your appetite without breaking the bank. Nice staff. attentive and always friendly.

Used to drive to the Pooler location because we really liked the food. We live in Savannah and we were excited for the downtown location. The last 2 times we have been here this mo. have been extremely disappointing. Both times we have had very rude waiters! They have been out of their signature rolls, which we really like and replaced by ½ a piece of cold hard toast both times! My daughters piece looked like a bite was taken from it! Once at 7pm and the other was at noon! Both prime time to be out of anything. Also out of shepherds pie. At lunch my sister asked for a straw because Jordon our waiter took it back when he brought refills. He literally rolled his eyes, grabbed one from the bar and slammed it in her glass and walked away! Too many examples to list! Maybe new management is needed! And happier wait staff! Won’t be back I am sad to say.

Sat down for 10 minutes and waited for a server. Went to the bar and asked it there was table service. Bartender said«Not after 11». I looked at the time and it is only 10:20. I told the bartender where I was sitting and she sent the waitress over. «Are you eating?» I said yeah and she rolled her eyes and went back to get menus. I told her while she was at it, to bring a rag to clean the dirty table off, another eye roll. She came back to clean the table and take our drink orders. Wine for my wife and Guinness for me. One of the worst Guinness pours ever. In Ireland the bartender would be hung for such an atrocity. I’ll add a picture. When she asked if I wanted another Guinness I politely said please tell the bartender to take her time with the pour. The last Guinness had 3″ of head. My wife commented about the look she gave me after I said that so I know I’m not imaging the lack of «Southern Hospitality». Upside: Decent band, Guinness is the correct temperature and the Shepherd’s pie was edible. This review was written just after dinner while I was waiting for my check.

Awesome service and great lunch! Started with a Bloody Mary and the Scottish Combo Wee Plate and continued on to Cockaleeky Soup and Fish & Chips. Haven’t had Fish this good in many years. Definitely recommend this place and would love to live closer so that I could come back often!

Excellent pub in a great location in Savannah. We were a group of four, stuck in the city for an extra night due to a cancelled flight. We thought Molly’s looked nice, so we popped in for the evening to eat and drink. There just so happened to be trivia happening that night, and we all LOVE trivia, so this was a major bonus. The pub is really nice, friendly atmosphere, great food, nice selection of beers. We ate, drank, and answered questions. We even won the first round of the quiz and got a pitcher of beer(but then promptly fell down the leaderboard after that). Everything about the place was great, and I will definitely be back if I’m in Savannah again.

The price is right — the food is good — and they accept AMEX. They list their bar prices which are reasonable. They have a huge scotch, whiskey and bourbon list. Place is clean and food was good. I was here on a Wednesday and it was just mildly busy. I would visit again.

Decent little place. Didn’t try the food, just had a few drinks at the bar & listened to the live music. Large selection of scotch(my drink of choice…). Prices were decent. Good ambiance. The guys playing live music were great! A good drinkin’ bar

We were advised to go to Molly’s for lunch having just got into Savannah for the first time. It is very authentic to a real Scottish Pub in the UK. Austin our waitress walked us thru the menu suggesting several dishes. My wife had Ms Molly’s sandwich which she really enjoyed and I had the fish and chips which came in a paper wrapper. There is no doubt we would go back it was so good. Lots of beer and scotch choices if you need a drink!

Came in at 3pm for late lunch… GREAT atmosphere and décor, and our waiter Jordan was VERY attentive. Prices were decent as well… I had the Shepherd’s Pie(good portion, great taste, presented well), my wife had the Leek Soup(bowl was good size and priced great, she enjoyed but their it could use just a bit more rice). We’re from outta town and came recommended by local friends. We’ll def be back! BONUS: a tasting tour came in and seated next to is… We got the history lesson for free!

Awesome service, great food, impressive drink menu… This would be my watering hole if I lived here in town! I had the classic«fish & chips» and washed them down with«chilled» Bushmills. I would also recommend the chicken-pot-pie. I heard from a regular there that the meatloaf was good too. Either, go… eat…drink…and drink some more!

When I say I’m a burger fanatic, I’m not blowing smoke. Molly’s has one of the best burgers in the city. I know it’s a pub, but don’t underestimate the grill aspect either. I’ve come in here for lunch break and discovered many delectable eats: the meatloaf is delicious, the burger is bank, and the reuben is amazing. All of the to-go orders are packaged up in a cute black box, and everything is made to order. The attention to detail is what makes the burger. The patty is expertly crafted, and I added Cheddar to bring out the flavor. It’s on a brioche bun, and the dressings of lettuce and tomato are extremely fresh. I’m getting hungry just thinking of it now! I’ve never had a drink here, but when I do, I’ll update my review. Thumbs up to Molly’s.

We’ve been here for a drink several times but never eaten here, so we decided to check it out on Friday night before our ghost tour. The ghost tour wasn’t so great, but our meal at Molly’s was good. FYI: they have one of the largest collections of Scotch in the Southeast :-O It’s pretty standard bar food, but the service was quick and the food was decent. DH had the Scottish Combo which is a Scotch egg, meat pie and what he described as «perfect» onion rings. I had a portobello mushroom stuffed with spinach, artichoke hearts and cheese, and served with fries. It was ok, but a good option for a sad little GF person like me. Side note: It was HOTTTT in this place on Friday night. It basically seemed like the AC wasn’t working; the table next to us ended up leaving because they couldn’t take the heat(so they got out of the kitchen… yuk yuk).

So, as a Scot, I thought I’d pop along and try out the Scottish pub in Savannah just to show some jingoistic fervor. Turns out that they have some quality Scottish beer on tap, even more bottles and a sensational selection of Whisky. More than that they do genuinely good Scottish food — the Scotch Eggs and Mince Pies are stellar for the USA. Corey was our bartender and a charming, knowledgeable and utility-kilt-wearing Scot-o-phile — lovely guy full stop! All in all, if you want a Scottish-flavored bar experience in Savannah, then Molly MacPherson’s seriously rocks! Go there if you get a chance and, if you ask me, order a Bellhaven Wee Heavie for your first beer… ;-)

Molly MacPherson’s wet my whistle and steamed my smoke stack! Walking in here I felt an immediate kinship with the kilt wearing manager(The Henny) who quickly had me sippin’ Ardbeg’s and savouring that smoky peat. After some banter I smashed the bangers and mash, which was both tasty and nicely priced at under a tenner. More banter followed at which point the manager said he was closing soon, but there’s an awesome dive bar down the road, which he was planning on visiting post work for a few cheeky bevs(The Rail Bar). He invited me along and I said, hang up, I’m heading there now so when you’re closed you are invited. Come here for the scotch, stay for the banter and food. Really well done.

My, my, what a pleasant surprise. This is a bar with a shockingly good scotch selection and a shocking lack of pretension! If it is legal to import into the US, they probably have it here. The bartenders are also incredibly helpful and kind, despite being insanely busy with annoying tourists. My brother didn’t know what scotch he wanted and the bartender talked him through it, not like he was rushing him, like he was having a CONVERSATION with him. When we were here it was open mic night and the folks that got up to sing were good. Like, REALLY good. I was really impressed. I’ll definitely be back here the next time I’m in Savannah. OH! And they are also open till 3am!
