Well, server is great. I hate giving bad reviews, but this experience deserved one. The first contact just destroyed my experience. I feel like first contact should define the experience(from a restaurant’s perspective)… The hostess was awful. She told me a table would be available as soon as it was cleaned. 20 min later, I asked her about the table, then she treated me like I was stupid, after saying it was available 15 min ago and I should’ve seated myself. Jessie was awesome after that point, but it’s rare I start off bad and end better… Food was awesome, as usual… It just blows my mind that a hostess, out of all people could be the rude person in the staff.

Great service, fast seating, staff that obviously works well together and as a team. Food was not extraordinary but pretty good and a nice relief from the bars and so on in the area.

OK… we went for the $ 40 Valentines special… advertised as blooming onion, salad, side dish, sirloin steak, and a cheesecake to split… they were too busy, short-staffed, and things didnt go well. We were not happy. Stephanie L. Harris, the General Manager, found out how bad we felt, and I must state here and now that she, along with her staff, has totally turned our opinions around! We returned to the restaurant, and Randall Edwards, staff manager; Don Hendrix, the kitchen manager; and our server, James Young took this Savannah dining experience to a new and previously unknown level. For our appetizers we ordered the trio. This spectacular collection of coconut shrimp with an orange marmalade secret sauce; avocado lump crab stack, and seared Ahi Tuna with an Asian sauce of a mélange of ginger, soy, and wasabi. Wow!!.Nuff said! I ordered the Porterhouse, the Maserati of all steaks, while my companion chose the Parmesan Pasta with grilled shrimp. My steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned wonderfully. It literally melted in my mouth. The parmesan pasta and shrimp were, she said, her favorite pasta dish of late, and maybe of all times. For sides, I had the broccoli cheddar, a wonderful addition to my meal, and she had this spectacular wedge salad. She couldn’t have been happier. The desert was, of course, the other trio. Once again, cheescake to die for, a ice cream brownie chocolate dish too good for words, and then a carrot cake almost too good to be believed. Can i give this restaurant an additional star for a level of customer service i havent experienced anywhere else in Savannah, and maybe even in Georgia in the last decade? I am serious! Now, we know where we will go when we want to make a new memory with family or friends, or even just by ourselves.

Can you give it a negative amount of stars? This call ahead seating is a joke! Why call ahead if you wait just as much time as everyone else when you actually call ahead. And then at every outback I have had this issue with the hostesses are unapologetic and almost rude when you ask about the fact that you call ahead — waiting 30 minutes and then when you arrive you are told you will be seated within 20 minutes then after that you are told another 5 – 10 minutes and when that has gone it’s another 5 – 10 minutes for the grade total of an 80 minute wait and I am supposed to be thankful for call ahead seating — why? Time to write the company and get things changed…

This Outback has a new manager since our last visit, and he has completely turned this place around. The service was excellent and the food was great! Just what you would expect from outback

Tough getting reservations for a party of 25(representing 4 states) Rock N’ Roll weekend but this OUTBACK was incredible! Our Friedreich’s Ataxia running group had our post meal here and what an incredible night it was with friends and family. WONDERFUL Manager Randall Edward made us comfortable the minute we walked in the door. From there GREAT servers Tony and Will took care of or every needs. Food was timely for a big group and food was excellent. AWESOME job OUTBACK and THANKYOU so much for ending our weekend on high note.

As far as Outbacks go, this isn’t the one. Our waitress was friendly, but I was missing a side dish. I never said anything — -because after that, I saw a ROACH. And I’m talking about the infestation kind. Not the giant kind in used to seeing(I live in the south)

Sorry going to tell the truth again! Worst Outback, at least, on The East Coast and I been to plenty. You would think you could get a waitress with no attitude when it costs $ 70 to eat here. I am local and eat here usually when someone gives us a gift card. They will guarantee to screw up order or bring you something substandard or not at all and try and charge you for it in end. The Only admirable thing they did is stood up for themselves and sent the Waitress home and replaced her with a Friendly one. If you want to leave here, and you will, because… they will not even try and sell you more alcohol or anything. You will be forced to wait out long pauses to get check, Drinks or find Manager working his aXX off in kitchen instead of policing the Restaurant like most well staffed, well trained Outback’s. Dirty non functioning Restroom with gang Graffiti for Months on wall. Never ever go here in a party of Four or more or you’ll be trapped here longer than the corpses buried under the city. Only good thing is if you get a Manager they’ll give you some complementariness, or something, but they must give a lot of that out… I’ve heard other people complaining here too. This downtown Outback as an establishment is an embarrassment to the Restaurant. Go to one of Savannahs classic Restaurants before this place so you don‘t have to compare it to another consistent, REAL Outback Steakhouse. What a joke. I left a $ 25 Tip on a 67.00 Order just to P— them off. I hope no one gives me another Outback Gift Card again or I‘ll re-gift it to someone in another State. Painful

I have eaten at this historic location once or twice a year since 2005. Once a year my wife has a conference in savannah and we reside in the comforts of the hotel Westin for a solid work week. The outback is located conveniently on bay st just past the U.S. Customs house, a short walk from the savannah belles ferry dock. This year we had the pleasure of dining here four nights in a row. From August 24th thru 27th we were forced by the fascist régime that is our 4yr old daughter and her imaginary /stuffed cohorts to dine at this fine establishment. The first night was bit disappointing as our waitress was a bit distracted, yet very apologetic. I don’t remember her name, but I did over hear that she may have had personal problems the day before. My other three nights were outstanding. Manager john griffin went out of his way to make my little dictator’s trip a special one. Not everywhere you go is that kid friendly and I applaud the exemplary service. Special mention to the server in the lounge area on the 25th, and to server Josh on day three. We will return in August 2016.

It was about 630pm when we arrived– just wanted to have a nice dinner after double services at church and my homework being due the next morning– I thought it would be a great idea for good grub and no clean up! The appetizer n bread came quickly– but it doesn’t take 2hours to make a burger and a salad! After seeing everyone that came after us. Get there meals I noticed it was. about 930 I wanted to just leave– I was soooo aggravated and hungry. When I asked for our food to go — it took only 5min– not only was the burger cold but my salad had 4little pices of streak on it… really? Now I worked as a waitress for years– they only way our food wld hv been that late was if the waitress put the order in late!!!

I don’t see how this outback horrible reviews, every employee we came across was really amazing! I celebrated my 21st at this outback, and they took care of me from the moment they sat our rather large party. I’m really bad with names, I wish I could remember our waiter, the manager & the owners name. We sat & the manager came over to recognize I was celebrating my 21st, he asked me to pick out a drink of my choice & the first one would be on him. He also surprised me with a shot, it meant a lot because I wasn’t expecting to get anything for free. My father in laws steak was over cooked & the owner came over & told him he would make it right & he was totally nice about the whole situation. The waiter was doing his best for a big party & im positive he had other tables, he made that happen too. Moral of the story, the outback where we live would have never went above & beyond like this one did. I will always visit this outback when we’re in Savannah. Thank you to the staff at outback who made my 21st amazing!!! I will never forget it & be forever grateful. I wish I could personally thank them again for everything. I hope they read this :)

I started writing this last week when I was sitting at my table and hadn’t even gotten my food yet and decided they are already getting a ONE star review. I walked in and the hostess came up to seat me and my girlfriend. When we asked for a table for two she asked: «Would you like to just sit at a booth in the bar section?» We replied, «Sure» She then looked at us and said, «Go ahead». Then she turned away as we walked to the bar section and we seated ourselves. A few minutes later she brought us silverware and half threw it on the table. A few minutes later, our waitress came. She was great. Literally, the only person that we encountered that night who was nice. She took our drink orders and left. A few minutes later, a manager was talking with the hostess. They kept looking over at us and at one point laughed. I turned and looked as the manager aggressively approached our table. He hiked one leg up and strew his arm across my side of the booth. «Hello. Everything alright tonight?» He never looked at me but stared only at my girlfriend. For background, this guy was middle-aged with a bad excuse for a mustache and looked as though he thought he was truly the greatest person he has ever met. My girlfriend told him we were fine and were just waiting to order food whenever our waitress comes back. He, for some reason, took offense to this and leaned in: «Well, we can do that. I can do that.» He then stared silently as if he was trying to play a game of who blinks first. Our waitress walked up and he, almost disgracefully to her, said, «Wait! There she is right now! She can take your order.» He walked off. We ordered our food and waited a solid 20 minutes for it to come out. I mention this because my girlfriend works at a restaurant and that ticket time is ridiculous. Regardless… …when the food came out, my order was fine. It would be hard to mess up a chicken Caesar salad anyway. My girlfriends food, however, was wrong. She ordered a rare steak that came out extremely well done. At this point, we decided it was time to go. The awful and offensive service combined with the lack of food quality led us to that decision. When our waitress came back we told her she was great but because of everything else we would be leaving. We told her we would not be paying, considering we had not touched the food, but we still wanted a check so we could tip her accordingly. She left and another manager returned. She brought our check and apologized because she had been in the back all night, «ensuring the quality of the food». Yeah, great job doing that… When she gave her scripted apology, she turned to walk away. My girlfriend looked at the check and realized they had only taken the steak off. That is when my girlfriend laughed and called the manager back. She explained we wouldn’t be paying for two meals we didn’t eat. The manager looked disappointed, as if we caught her in a «drop a receipt and dash» scheme. She said«okay» and walked away, clearly upset. We left the waitress an $ 11 tip on a $ 25 ticket that we didn’t eat. We did that not only to prove a point, but to thank her for being the only nice person in the restaurant that evening. Don’t waste your time here.

This is the trashiest Outback that I have ever seen. There is gang graffiti in the men’s restroom, wth, lol. Service was OK but the food was so bad for an Outback. Sent steak back 2x and didn’t bother for a third. We eat a Outback quite a bit, and this one should be closed, its that bad.

I am not a fan of chain restaurants but my daughter wanted to pop in for a blooming onion so I agreed as we were walking by. Ok I just want to spread the word they have a martini list I had the blackberry martini $ 4.00 everyday! Yes! And it is good! I could not believe it! I had 3 for the price of one at most places! Talk about happy, happy, happy! I was so excited! Thank you Outback for such a treat! I will be back!

Called ahead, so got seated promptly. There were two guy hostesses who both liked very sloppy, shirts half handing out, unkempt looking. Received our salads, but the dressing I had requested on the side was slathered on the salad itself. Had to send it back. Also had no set up of napkin/fork/knife. Had to ask for it. «Loaded» baked potato definitely not loaded. Also under cooked. Steak is excellent! ! Waitress a bit daffy. Overall, okay experience. Manager of this place needs to pay attention & tighten up the professionalism.

Terrible outback here. Burger was dry, no flavor. Fries were basic, bun was burnt(how???). Lamb was just 3 skewers, small portions. Caesar salad not impressive, just tasteless. If you were gonna come here for anything– happy hour. And appetizers. Their fried onion(blooming onion) and wings are pretty good. Their drinks are $ 4, pretty good. Basically that’s what saving them from a 1 star review. Oh and the waiters are fantastic here. Always a bunch of sweethearts.

Not good at all. My filet mignon was dry and flat. I ordered an Amoretto sour that was completely made of sour mix. My drinks were never refilled. I would not recommend going to this location. It was just not a good experience. Our server was nice but kept forgetting things. Tables were dirty and gross. Other guests were complaining. Skip this place and go to Ruth’s Chris.

The summer specials are on another level. The lobster tacos, tender fried lobster nuggets w/slaw and aioli sauce – so yum! The filet w/crab legs were all perfectly cooked and seasoned. But that Rum Punch though, so good! Gave me flashbacks of my visits to the Carribbean. Had two just to be sure the first one wasn’t a fluke. Nope, it was legit. These are here for a limited time. This location is my fav here in Savannah. The manager is always here and checks on every table. Very hands on. Service is usually good. Clean and comfortable.

Being an Aussie touring I had to give this place a try, staying a short walk away, not much selection of beers ! No good for an Oz style place? Food service and patrons were great, made me laugh how the have tried to do a Australian take off, got a little to learn, but I was happy with the NZ lamb. The fifth star is for having a go.
