The food was delicious. The place is very clean, spacious, very nice, and the staff is great. We were going to try PJs first but right at the door we were not treated nicely so we decided to come here and we were not disappointed.

We were asked to leave this place because the waitress was to lazy to serve us. There were eight of us so we knew it may be a wait. The waitress however literally told my mom that it would be 15 minutes to 30, then said well maybe 40 and we may not be able to serve you because we haven’t even served half the people here. We asked if it was easier, we could split up to which she answered, «maybe it’s best if you go elsewhere». She was very rude, so of course we left. When we all left pretty upset, she came out and yelled, «is it that big of a problem? Really… Unbelievable!» She was rude and lazy. I’m appalled at the treatment we received. It was ridiculous.

The food was amazing. I recommend the yellow curry and the garlic lover. Staff is also very friendly. Great place for lunch or dinner.

The restaurant is clean and there were plenty of staff. That’s good. Lunch service was almost perfect. No rushing or delays. However the server never came back to check on the meal. I ordered the grouper with fried rice. Everything came as ordered, it was very tasty and there was lots of food on my plate. except the grouper was over cooked. It would have been 5 stars if the chef cooked the fish correctly.

I came this town as a business trip. This restaurant had a good review so I wanted to try Thai Curry. I really liked Scallops and shrimps Thai curry. It was pretty tasty but I felt a little sweet. The price was higher than where I am from. Good customer service. Overall I wanted to give 3.8 starts!

The management is the worst! They don’t care for customers. They didn’t bother at all to offer a seat after waiting for 15minutes.

It has become my tradition to have dinner here before the Savannah Music Festival events. I highly recommend the panang curry, and if you like chilies get it Thai hot!

My husband and I ate here on a Thursday night. Only two other tables were full. We were sat immediately but waited awhile for service. We probably saw our waitress 3 times. The servers were all chatting and hanging out by the bar. Food was served quickly but was really not good at all. I had the chicken pad Thai; it was drenched in sauce and grease. It was pretty inedible in my opinion. My husband got shrimp fried rice. He gave it a 3 on rating 1 – 5. Besides the food and service, they use placemats that are stained and we had three black hairs on our table by our silverware. It’s not a place we will eat at again.

Service was good. No wait on a Saturday night. There was 4 of us and I would say all our meals were average.

I understand that they were opened on Christmas day but I am not supposed to make up for it by having a uncleaned place, utterly slow service and my salad had julienne mango missing which was the main reason for me ordering the salad. icing on the cake was that my order was calculated wrong… ughhhh

Generic American style Thai. A lot of fancy items on the menu that seemed to be promising, but the actual dishes were nothing to rave about. Ordered Pad Thai, Holy Basil Tilapia, Thai Ginger vegetable, Pineapple Red Curry with Chicken, Tom Yum Soup w/shrimp, and mango sticky rice. Everything seemed to be overly sweetened. The sauce on the fish dish was overpowering the ingredients. And considering how they went through the trouble to make all the entrees presentable, they could at least mold the mango sticky rice. Too understaffed. Wait staff were hit or miss. The table next to us had a season guy who spoke like a used car salesman. But at least he was able explained the dishes well and sold people that he was going to make bubble tea from the scratch(yeah, right, this is not Chinatown). My waitress seemed like she never worked as a waitress before… I have so much time waiting for my bill that I could probably write a novel length review for this place. Oh, I have to clarify. I have reviewed other Thai restaurants before. For the location and the pricing of where this restaurant is, it’s not up to par.

I live an hour away from Thai Town in Hollywood, California and have been accustom to authentic Thai food. Believe me when I tell you, this is the worst Thai food I’ve ever experienced. I came here with very low expectations and expected it to be on par with the worst I’ve had in LA. If you’re wondering why I ventured into such an establishment given my background, it was because my mom wanted noodles. PADTHAI: It was completely drenched in super sweet sauce. I squeezed in 3 wedges of lime hoping to mask the sweetness but it didn’t help. Then, I dumped a ton of chili in hoping to make it more pleasant. I ended up forcing myself to eat 1⁄3 of the noodles and finished all the shrimps. PADSEEEW(with beef): Far from what it should be like. This dish was more of a rice noodle stir fried with mixed veggies, beef, and excess soy sauce. Where was the scrambled eggs?! This was supposed to be a simple dish of Chinese broccoli, thinly sliced beef, scrambled eggs, and rice noodles. We make this at home and it’s so easy to make. I don’t understand how they can mess it up so badly. TOMYUM(with chicken): First of all, they really need to ditch the fresh onions on top because it diminishes the Tom yum flavor to virtually none. Second, they need to add more lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and galangal roots. It tastes as though they didn’t put any of those 3 and used a package of pre-made Tom yum seasoning. Third, the chicken was incredibly bland and dry. Can you believe it took them 30 – 35 minutes to make this?! It’s soup! Supposed to come out fast. Despite all of this, my mom found it to be different and decent. THAIICEDTEA: This was the ONLY item true to taste. The décor was nice but the horrible food and terribly long wait time to cook the food(40 minutes and there were only 3 – 4 tables of about two people each), this place deserves nothing more than a one star. I really wanted to like this place too. Oh! I almost forgot to mention the price. For 2 entrees, 1 individual serving of soup, and a Thai Iced Tea, the total came out to almost $ 40. Total waste of money. I can buy 15 Big Macs to share with the entire staff and be much more satisfied.

I liked the Asian inspired décor and the atmosphere was nice, however… I’m not so sure that classic rock fit into the whole scheme of things. ??? The spring rolls and peanut sauce were amazing but the Pad Thai… Not so much. :/

It is voted Best Restaurant. It was pretty good. Our table ordered red curry with chicken, yellow curry, and garden noodle. The presentation was nice. The rice is shaped like a heart and topped with a carrot floret. The veggies were fresh. The noodles seemed over cooked. The curries they let you choose the heat. Also, The waiters share tips and tables so the service can be iffy. But they were friendly and the restaurant is clean. Overall it was good. I still feel like the best Thai I have had in the States is in Seattle

Had high expectations on this restaurant but unfortunately they were not met. The service was horrible it took our server 15mins to take our order and that was after I grabbed their attention. Then had to wait 10 minutes to get our drink order. After that I was just hoping to settle for decent food. My Pad Thai is by far one of the worst dishes I’ve had, it was extremely sweet almost like a dessert. Also the ratio of nuts and vegetables were not complementary to the dish. I will not be returning to this location. Oh and the price for the quality of the food and service wasn’t relevant to one another.

This wasn’t the best Thai food I’ve ever had, but it was still very good. The restaurant is on the formal side especially compared to all the other restaurants on Broughton but not horribly expensive. Portion size was big and filling and the menu was pretty extensive. Also the food came out very quickly and the service was attentive. A nice break from all the fried green tomatoes.

I went there on a Saturday night. I had to wait 10 minutes for a table but it was worth it. The host and waitress were kind and helpful. The food was amazing! Best Thai in Savannah. I had Massaman Curry with vegetables and my boyfriend enjoyed the Drunken Noodle with beef. Both were SODELICIOUS. We also drank Singha which complimented the food wonderfully. We cannot wait to go again. :)

We stopped here a few times while visiting Savannah. The place looks like a dive. It is always busy, which is a good sign that it is good. The service is good but not very friendly at all! Everything we’ve ever ordered was good. We always bring our kids with us and they always like what we order for them. The last time i went there I had the mixed seafood with the brown rice. The serving was very generous. The kids and my husband loved the fried rice. The one thing that we didn’t really care for was the sweet and sour. We’ll come here again when driving through Savannah again.

Ruan Thai is a reliable meal on Broughton Street, especially when all the other restaurants in the area have long waits. At Ruan Thai you never have to wait long for a table. I enjoy the Thai food here. It’s not the best I ever had, but it’s still very good. If anything, the food could use more heat, but I like my Thai very hot. I tend to order the Thai Basil(it’s my go-to Thai dish) which is sweet and savory. The restaurant is nice and a bit romantic. The rice even comes out in a heart shape on your plate. The black rice is lovely and makes Ruan Thai unqiue, but my digestive system doesn’t always agree with it. I eat it any way. The green tea ice cream, made in-house, is very nice and refreshing. It’s a little pricey for Thai food, but it’s a little more upscale than other quick-eat places on Broughton.
