One of my favorites! Great service, and delicious food! The kids enjoyed making their own pancakes as well.

This might be the most disorganized restaurant I have ever been to. The hostess was completely lost and had no idea what tables were available, which lead to a massive backup of people waiting to be seated. The service was nothing to write home about and the food was decent at best. Although the make your own pancakes were fun.

No waiting. Friendly service. Prices are fair. Interesting being able to cook your own pancakes at your table. Food is good, nothing spectacular. If you have younger kids this would be a fun place.

They have one of the best bloody Mary’s that I have ever tasted! The food is priced very decently nothing too special but the drinks is where it’s at! The bottomless mimosa is a great $ 20 and they keep them coming. Again I can’t stress enough the best Bloody Mary ever

Only good if you have kids. Cold décor and cheep quality food. A novelty place. Once is enough. Nice service but the place is weird. A good concept but needs help.

Back again for the third time. Every time I come to visit my daughter in college this is the place we always pick for breakfast. Nice service, polite and friendly. Awesome for anyone, specially kids that can have fun cooking their own pancake!

Well worth the wait. The kids loved making their own Pancakes at the table with add ins of many choices. Our server was very friendly. The quiche was fabulous, my husband had the grits and said they were great. Will definitely be back in our next visit.

Decent patio, Waiting time 10 mins, Great service Orange juice is a rip off for 5 bucks, it’s freshly squeezed but comes in a normal small glass, deal breaker is the size. I ordered the blk n blue sea grits, I have to say it was yummy with a nice spicy kick. And worth the price. Highly recommend. My friend didn’t enjoy her andouille sausage. not a good choice I guess. So definitely come back to try the other choices.

Headed over to this café for a Sunday brunch. It has a great terasse to enjoy the beautiful days. We waited about 15 minutes for a table outside. Took a sneak peak inside while waiting and it looked decent. I ordered the Andouille Sausage which was scrambled eggs with sauteed green pepper and onion and hashbrowns and cheddar. It looked very appetizing per the description but when it came, it was disappointing. Just plain, flavourless and oily. My husband had the black n blue grits(cheesy grits with shrimp and lobster). He liked it but note that none of the seafood was fresh. It was not deveined and was the frozen kind straight out of a bag. Will not go back !!

I did not have the pleasure of enjoying a meal here, so I don’t feel I can adequately award 5 stars. I was looking for a spiked coffee, however, and boy did The Funky Brunch Café deliver. The didn’t have Jameson, but were able to generously provide an unknown(to myself, at least) whiskey, baileys and dark roast coffee. Altogether is was a hit! AND it kept my hands… and later on the rest of me, warm with the days windy chill. Thanks for hooking me up with a great cup o’ joe!

Terrible host, terrible service, no one greeted our table to take a simple drink order. Waited over ten minutes and all other servers are standing around more interested in their conversation versus actually offering any sort of customer service. Please do not waste your time.

Food was good. Sat at the bar. Bartender friendly. Nice place. Would go there again. Good flavor and ingredients. They have tables with griddles in them for you to cook your own if that is your thing.

Really enjoyed our brunch. Our server Nate was so pleasant and gave us great recommendations. We had mimosas and then for brunch we ate the breakfast sandwich and the seafood grits with bacon… Ummm WOW!!! SOGOOD! Never did I think seafood for breakfast would be this tasty, but when you’re in Georgia you eat soul food and it was DELICIOUS! Thank you Nate for the amazing service, I would highly recommend this place!

The service at this place was probably the worst that I’ve ever experienced. There was absolutely no organization within the restaurant when it came to sitting people and serving. The staff were not apologetic and based off their demeanor it was very apparent they were unhappy and irritated. The food would have been pretty good had it not been served to us cold and we would have ordered something different but in the 20 or so minutes that it took for our server to come back and check on us after dropping the food off we decided it was better to just leave. Needless to say, it was a very disappointing experience.

Funky… yeah that’s exactly how I would describe the attitude of the staff we encountered. We got there 30 min before they closed, and they made sure to show that hey didn’t appreciate it. There were several comments about being ready to go, huffing and puffing and just a overall rushing of the customers who came in close to closing. Our waitress didn’t bother to give us her name, and barely checked to see how we were doing, and the one time she did it was so much attitude we just kinda wished she didn’t. She charged one f our cards twice, I guess she was rushing so much she didn’t realize she’d already swiped and paid with that particular card already. Nonetheless, I’m going to give them another shot, because everyone deserves one. I’ll get there early and be sure to get a griddle table and just really enjoy myself, hopefully I’ll get to enjoy the staff as well. As for the food, we all left nothing behind, as you can see in our picture, so I guess it wasn’t as bad as those snide remarks and stale looks. The brunch drinks were just okay, but my smoked salmon omelette with cheese grits and pancake were pretty good to me.

So this place has pretty decent food. But OHMYGOD the service. We have been waiting for 20 minutes(after they told us 10 but whatever that happens) BUT there are over five empty tables. The hostess stands there and continues taking people’s names without ever sitting anyone. Finally after people stop coming in she begins slowly seating people. But if anyone shows up she immediately stops what she’s doing to take the name. Maybe she just can’t multitask. But there have been people sitting waiting for a lot longer than us with empty tables and more tables becoming empty as people get up. If you’re in a hurry don’t go here. Or don’t anyway, whichever.

Get ready, set… wait. We showed up to a restaurant that was half empty inside. We did not expect much of a wait being that the whole outside section was empty and there were plenty of tables empty inside. We put our names on the list and proceeded to wait over an hour while the place closed up the outside eating area and continued to leave the inside of the restaurant empty. As I write this, we are still waiting. At this point I am dying to leave but having waited this long I am afraid I will die of malnutrition on the way to a more reasonably service oriented place. Don’t come hungry UPDATE Still waiting…20 Minutes later. The most maddening thing is that we are a party of 2. EVERYONE with a party of more than 2 is seated before you here. We have watched at least 5 parties that arrived here 30 minutes after us be seated because there are more than 2 people in the party Finally sat down to eat. They host tried to seat us at one of the crappy little tables in The center of the too on instead of at one of the many open booths. We complained and were moved. The food was good but we felt really rushed. We were still eating when the check was dropped on the table

Oh no Funky. I once loved this place and always brought out of town guests in, but with new staff and a busy brunch rush, my opinion has changed. This time around I brought my family of 6 in before they had to head out of town. The wait was long, but we were troopers until it seemed like we would never sit down. The hostess mistook an honest question for attitude and instead of smiling and bearing through the rush, she retorted hotly that we knew the wait would be long. Okie dokie. We eventually did sit down, but I guess the tiff stayed with her for a while because I saw her gesturing my way and laughing with other staff. Lesson 1: hide your frustration around customers. You never know who is watching. Looks like I’ll have to find another brunch spot for my out of towners. People look to me for recommendations all the time. It might be nice to branch out to a friendlier spot. Until next time Funky.

Ew, this was pretty awful. Some tables have a griddle in the middle of the table to make your own pancakes, so as a result, my clothes reeked of pancake, oil and cooking smells when I left this place even though our table did not have pancakes. The breakfast food was awful… cold, almost inedible. Coffee is also awful… bland and of course, cold. The waitstaff are all busy chatting with each other… we had to flag her down for everything. The concept of the place is pretty interesting if it was executed correctly. With so many great coffee and breakfast places in Savannah. I have to give Funky Brunch a pass.
