Shrimp ‘n Grits, Biscuits and Gravy does it get any better than this, J Christopher’s is a 5 Star Breakfast location in the center of Savannah Georgia. The cheese melts into the grits like butter, every bite of shrimp and sausage.unbelievable. The biscuits and gravy were insane the gravy itself, hands down best breakfast gravy I’ve ever had! If your not outside go in there and sit in the back facing the windows on the street with the views of those hanging oak tree’s that line the streets of Savannah, I’ll be back for that gravy!

Great place for brunch! Staff is friendly and quick to wait on you. Sadly, no mimosas but the food is really tasty. Ambiance is casual and there’s plenty of seating both inside and some seating outside.

Hands down, the BEST breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant in Savannah! Despite only having one check-in, we’ve been here almost weekly since our first visit, and have yet to order the same thing twice. Thus far, my favorite thing on the menu are the Crab Cake Benedict, something I never suspected would be good! Overall, the service can be a little weak(especially when they’re slammed), but the food more than makes up for it.

A delicious place for brunch. There was a 35 minute wait but we just sat at the bar and got waited on immediately. Coffee was great. Hubby had biscuits and gravy and me a black bean quesadilla. So good!

Diner-style Solid American breakfasts. Fresh ingredients, friendly and helpful service. Recommended strongly by locals. Well prepared, not fussy, but more than a greasy-spoon«waddaya have?» Diner. Make this a biginning of a day of touring.

Amazing breakfast spot! Got to sit outside on a beautiful day. The huevos avacado really hit the spot! The waiter was super awesome and even helped ‘shim’ the table when it was a little wobbly. I was only visiting Savannah for a couple days so the good food and kindness from everyone I met really makes me want to come back for more!

I would do basically anything for their hazelnut french toast. To say it’s amazing is an understatement! Perfectly sweet and the crust on the bread was so nice. The hazelnut wasn’t too overpowering but you could definitely taste the flavor all throughout the dish. I would eat this every day if I could!

Breakfast: Coffee good Potatoes: not good, no flavor and came to my table cold. I sent them back and the waitress gave me a snotty look. To their credit they did remake my meal but I hate sending good back to the kitchen. It arrived hot. This place takes no pride in the food they serve. Overpriced for the quality of food.

Great spot for breakfast or brunch in downtown Savannah if you aren’t feeling like waiting an hour for a table at some of the more upscale brunch locations downtown. The menu is classic with some southern staples, that give it the Savannah feel without all the extra bells and whistles, but at the same time not feeling like a diner or chain restaurant. Prices are fair and servings are plenty. There are plenty of places to sit, bright funky artwork on the walls, and building has a lot of character. It is an adaptively reused space, it may have been a warehouse or factory at one time. We came here New Years Day most recently(not our first visit) and it seemed like the whole city was a bunch of brunch-seeking zombies trying to find an open spot that would quench the champagne hangover. Lucky for us, J. Christophers has speedy service, and we were sat within 15 minutes even though there was a crowd of about 50 looming outside waiting for a table. Will be back(:

Cool warehouse/art gallery/hipster vibe with a good breakfast menu and great coffee. The chorizo omelet was excellent and their eggs were farm fresh, the English muffins was a nice touch.

What a wonderful atmosphere! Food was excellent, service was excellent, just the environment in general was wonderful. Plus they’re pet friendly! Who doesn’t love a pet friendly restaurant. Only downside would be parking(since we are from Miami I expect parking lots, lol) but other than that I would definitely come back.

I stopped here for brunch while passing through Savannah. I was itching for pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and this place checked all of those boxes. I wouldn’t say that they had any ‘signature’ items that make this place a destination not to be missed, but their brunch menu was extensive and they covered the bases from waffles, french toast, and pancakes to skillets, omelettes, and biscuits & gravy. I got the Pantry Feast with banana walnut pancakes, scrambled eggs, and home fries. The eggs were a bit overcooked, but everything else was really good. My plate was clean when I left. I sat at the counter since I was a party of one and the wait staff was always very attentive and filled my coffee cup each time it got to half-full. If I lived in Savannah, this place would be a regular go-to.

Not sure what all the crazy hype was about! This is basically just a diner, complete with sticky menus and blah coffee. As for ambiance, they have a big indoor space with SCAD art on the walls, as well as an outdoor area they can connect when it’s nice out by opening up the garage door. Our service was FAST(like 3 minutes order to food) and friendly, and the food was pretty good, although not super creative(we got one of the skillets and the avocado/pico de gallo toast). But, in general, I left feeling meh — it was, in fact, just a-ok.

Consistency. I went on a Friday and a Sunday morning during the Rock and Roll weekend, so absolutely slammed. I ordered the Huevos Avocado both days, and the potatoes were better on Sunday, but the eggs were better on Friday. The menu was a little flexible(my sister ordered an omelette as a skillet instead and she also loved it so much she ordered it both days. The coffee was great, the service was excellent and checkout was fast.

A great little spot in Savannah! Reviewers were talking about long waits but when we went on a Friday afternoon we didn’t have to wait at all! We were worried that it would be so crowded that we couldn’t maneuver with the stroller but it didn’t pose an issue when we went. Hubby got an omelette and I got the eggs benedict. Both were yummy and made fast! I love the quirky interior and the mismatched mugs gave it a homey feel. We didn’t have our dog but it looks like the doggies are treated like kings with special plates of their own feel free to bring your dogs to this on joint!

Great place for all the dog lovers in Savannah! It’s not listed on the menu online but you can get your dog a doggie breakfast bowl! Food was good, service was great! Will definitely be coming back!

It’s trendy, it’s easy going, and it’s a salt of the earth place to grab some breakfast. The food here is done well, I’ve tried four dishes and found them all to be quite tasty. The setting is open and spacious with local art strewn about the walls. A very nice touch and nod to the local SCAD(Savannah College of Art and Design). I tend to give priority to establishments that support their other local businesses and art community. The prices are average for breakfast joints, but the service was nice and attentive. We stayed for a while to drink coffee and our server never hinted that we wrap things up. So enjoy your big ol’ tip. My family appreciates great service! I’ll be back for another shot at J Christopher’s next time I’m in Savannah. I hope you give em a shot too. Try: One of the skillets Avoid: The rush hour lines

We enjoyed our breakfast at this pet friendly establishment. They even had a puppy chow dish on the menu for our pet. The food was very good. I got the hazelnut french toast bread was light and cooked well. The side of Canadian bacon was a little over done but edible. Coffee was really good and most importantly pleasant service. Yiu should Add this to your list of dog friendly options when in Savannah.

JC’s was recommended by a friend of mine months ago. I have been by JC’s and never stopped in because of the large crowd always waiting outside and presumed the wait would be ridiculously long. However, this would all change when some old friends from Philly, now living in Charleston, would come to visit. As expected, there were around 50 people standing outside when we arrived around 11 a.m. on a Sunday. We hadn’t been to or were going to church; rather we need some nutrition after a long Saturday night out. After placing our name on the list and being told it was only a 15 – 20 minute wait, we went outside to people watch, believing it would be more than the quoted time. To our surprise we were seated in the time quoted. We were seated in a booth and promptly greeted by our server… Savannah. Yes, Savannah, from Savannah. She made a few recommendations, took our drink order and returned with our drinks. My friend’s wife order the Popeye’s Omelet, he ordered the Pantry Feast and boring me ordered the Traditional breakfast. Even as busy as it was, our meals arrived in less than 15 minutes. My friend’s wife raved about how great her omelet tasted as and he thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast too. My breakfast was good as could be expected for bacon, eggs and potatoes, with the exception of the English muffin. I made the comment the muffin was flavorless and my friend’s wife stated the same. Our waitress Savannah was very good, fun and charming and we all agreed we will be back.

They have a Cowboy Skillet. I say this because, as a rule, I have to order any plate that has the word«Cowboy» in it. Not that I fancy myself a cattle wrangler, nor do I ever impress to be, but it’s just something I do. Deal with it. J Christopher’s cow thing is a couple of fried eggs over a Mama Bear cast iron skillet tossed with potatoes, peppers, onions and steak. It’s what a man eats after a long day of robin’ heifers and, I don’t know, rallying ’round the campfire. The eggs and the steak were pretty seriously overdone, but this ain’t high technique cooking — it’s diner food, and with a few shakes of hot sauce, I wolfed it down quicker than wolf downing a cow, boy. And THAT is some serious wordplay. This spot’s really a 3.5, but the service was so durn cordial, I absolutely had to round up. Oh, and if sweet is your bag, the blueberry crunch cakes are legit.
