Recently had a bridal function there and must say they exceeded all my expectations. Not only was the food scrumptious but the personalized service, warm atmosphere and genuine effort by the staff to make it extra special was outstanding. Definitely would do again without reservation. Linda was a Godsend and a pleasure to work with.

I came by for a midweek lunch, taking a friend out for his birthday. We did a sort of executive lunch special. The surroundings were elegant, and the restaurant would work for a business lunch or dinner date, although parking was on street. Glasses of wine were good. I had the savory, light, chicken meatballs, a nice portion, followed by halibut with sweet potatoes(a supplement). Pretty sure my guest started with the lemon grilled shrimp. I am no longer certain of my guest’s entrée(probably the flatiron steak with risotto), but it was devoured. I’d rate the halibut higher. The bred pudding finished us off. Not quite New Orleans level, but good nonetheless.

A wonderful meal in a warm, cozy environment! The freshest, crisp and tasteful vegetables I’ve had in a long while! A charming little spot for a great meal! Highly recommended!(A bit pricey for lunch though!)

I’m a total sucker for restaurants adorning their door fronts with ‘Christmas’ lights– even after Christmas. In my opinion, there’s a sense of flair that whispers to me. Additionally, the ‘Christmas’ white lights, added an extra touch of sophistication. This tiny, quasi-chic, dimly lit, bistro with metal ceilings, is appealing. 808 Bistro is totally charming with great ambience and service. Vibe here, is upbeat, nowhere near uptight. The setting can be anything you want it to be. It could be a girl’s night out, a small family get-together or a romantic dinner. So, the restaurant’s theme interior design, is not creative, but, 808 highly makes up for it in their dishes. Restaurant Week menu, surely did not skimp. There were lots to choose from in all 3 components(Appetizers, Entrées & Dessert). And not your typical, limited choices some restaurants offer. From the hostess, to our server(Annemarie), to the chef, all contributed a positive atmosphere and energy. Chef/Owner, Sal, takes the lead in 808 Bistro and brings a really nice, extensive menu. Perhaps I’m too quick to decide, but because my Lamb Chops were seasoned and cooked to perfection, right then and there, I just imagined what their other lamb or fish dishes would taste like. I was immediately hooked! My overall impression was that 808 made my evening memorable. And my only regret is, that I have not been here sooner.

I found this restaurant online and looked them up. After reading the menu and then seeing their happy hour special(½ price drinks, appetizers & pasta at the bar or 15% off your check at a table) I now come at least 3 – 4 times a month and we just had a family Christening party there. The service is always great and so are the waiters. I love Sal the owner and Linda who runs the place is a sweetheart! This week they have a great menu for restaurant week. They are located in Scarsdale on Scarsdale Avenue along the Metro-North train. Oh did I forget to mention their food? Oops my bad! Their food is delicious. The menu is on point and not your average same old menu, different but familiar and so delicious! Go ahead and give them a try & why not this week when you can get a lot for less with restaurant week!

Wow, what a great dinning experience. From the food, to the service, simply outstanding. We had the grilled shrimp, with bean salad & the grilled calamari appetizers. Not only were they absolutely delicious, but the portions were quite large. Honestly, they could have been main courses. I had the free range chicken, with the cherry peppers, sausage & potatoes. The presentation was beautiful & the flavor was incredible. My husband had the grilled salmon, over sautéed vegetables. It looked great & he said it was excellent. And our waiter, Raphael, was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back again.

Italian and Asian primarily. Calamari was good by kind of small, shrimp wonton was very good, duck tacos were ok, but add sauce from the wonton and they became much better. VERY dissapointed with my pasta, supposed to be a pappadella bologense but it was really a tomato and cream sauce with a real small amount of ground beef. very disappointed it in. Wifes sole franchise was good. Brothers duck had way to much thyme in the rissito. Apple strudel was ok, thought it would be much better

I do not think a lot of people know about this restaurant a couple of blocks away from the Scarsdale train station. The salad was crisp and fresh and the dressing was heavenly. My wife got the striped bass legacy pasta with chicken shrimp in a light cream sauce I would like this place equal to any restaurant on Arthur Avenue the prices may be a little high but the food is worth it

I debated about how many stars to give. Two is probably too generous. This place is VERY cramped. The service is beyond SLOWWWWW. The food was a mixed bag… Some items are ok but some are mediocre at best. An entrée priced at $ 41 should definitely be better than mediocre. We won’t go back and suggest that you can find better alternatives.

Threw a bridal shower here and it could not have gone better. Linda was amazing and helped me plan it since I’ve never thrown one before and she was totally okay with all the crazy decorations I wanted to put up. Also helpful was that not only was everything on the menu delicious and came in big portions, but also that they had gluten free options for most of the menu since some of the guests were gluten free. We were also free to stay as long as we wanted and we were not at all pressured to leave. Amazing food and service, what more could you ask for?

Consistently good food, excellent service. I’ve eaten at 808 many times over the past several years with my aged parents, and we have have always had a good experience. Chef and servers appear to be long-term employees. Friendly atmosphere, prices reasonable for Scarsdale. Note for daytime visitors: Feed the parking meters on the street(or park in the residentIal area behind the restaurant.) Update May 2016: review still stands, very good food, excellent service and ambiance. Highly recommended.

808 would have to be one of my favorite places to eat in town. The atmosphere is trendy and hip, very Manhattan-like and a breath of fresh air for the Scarsdale restaurant scene. I’ve eaten here several times and have always been happy with the food. No particular recommendations because everything is great. The place may be small, but the food is of excellent quality and is always delicious. Do expect crowds on weekend nights though, but that’s nothing a reservation can’t fix.

Came her later on a Saturday night with my GF and her grandmother. The grandmother is a regular and very much treated like royalty, the waiters were so sweet to her. We had a lovely meal, started with the chicken meatballs and then rolling into our main courses. I got the papparadelle bolognese. It’s kind of my go to when I come here and it didn’t disappoint. We ended the evening with some caramel flan … it was delectable. I’ve had some pretty amazing flan from Cuba, and I think this was just a notch or two below that. I was very pleased with the evening. I think the only complaint was that it was a bit chilly in the restaurant due to the fact that it was in the mid-80s that day so they probably had the AC jacked up. I’m sure we’ll be coming back again next trip up!

We came here with friends and the place inside is charming with lots of seating and the bar area looks also nice with ample seating. This time we stayed alway from the Appetizers and just order our Entrees, however the menu looked enticing — maybe next time. My friend orderd the NY Strip Steak that she said was good, and I orderd the Pappardelle Bolonese with shaved parmesan cheese. I thought my pasta with bolognese should have been prepared with a light tomato sauce instead of a tomato cream sauce. Now for Dessert we orderd the 808 Apple Strudel w/vanilla ice cream, that was good but very rich, but note you must order this in the begining of your meal because it takes around 15 minutes to prepare since they make it fresh. There is plenty of parking but it is metered parking so have plenty of quarters on hand(not sure at what time metered parking ends). All and al, we will come back to sit at the bar and eat.

I attended a bridal shower and was thoroughly impressed. The staff was unbelievably attentive, the food was phenomenal, and the tables were perfect. I would highly recommend 808 Bistro for an evening out or to host a special event.

A Hidden Gem… Seated in a small cozy dining room with tables situated to allow privacy we began a very pleasant inexpensive dining experience. Shared two(2) appetizers which was plenty for the three of us. The Garlic Bread with gorgonzola cream sauce was a simple yet extremely unique offering. Dipping the bread in this tasteful sauce brought smiles to our faces. We ordered the crispy calamari which came out grilled. Fresh but limp — basic but forgotten — the tomato sauce didn’t stand out but our Main Courses certainly did. The two specials ordered were complete standouts. The Short Rib Ravioli was a home run. Dipping the bread in this sauce brought bigger smiles to our faces. The Scallops Special in its own unique sauce was wonderfully tasteful. In fact unique flavors defined both meals which is what one hopes when dining out. The menu ordered Striped Bass with its almond crusted exterior — while not as good as the specials — worked with the accompanying spinach and was enjoyed. Service was sincere, polite and professional as they moved smoothly from table to table on this very busy Monday night. Seems Monday is BYOB night(no corking fee) though we noticed only one(1) table taking advantage. Assorted on-line coupons are available for this dining establishment. Take advantage as 808 Bistro is something special.

We visited the bistro for the first time two Saturdays ago with another couple during restaurant week. The food was delicious and we had to have their famous Apple pastry dessert, which was truly delectable. It’s a cozy spot, with a great waitstaff and a nice ambience. One of those places that you know you will be back to visit again, simply because you had such a good first experience. Our waiter, who was African-American and whose name I don’t recall, was truly wonderful and really kept us smiling and laughing all throughout the meal. I would go back just to hear a few more of his jokes.

This place is really good. Amazing waitstaff, awesome food. When asked if you’d like to order the 808 Apple Strudel, ALWAYS say yes. It takes a long time to make, so they asked us as soon as we arrived. I repeat, ALWAYS say yes! It is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. I’m not an apple pie, or apple lover type of person… but this was exquisite. Try this place on Sundays, as they have wine bottle specials.
