Bush’s is a fried chicken chain not dissimilar to others and tastes fairly close to Popeyes. The biggest difference from other chains comes from the accompaniments. The rolls are soft, sweet, and delicious. The fried okra, less commonly found at other chains, was also good. The mashed potatoes were creamy and good and came with a rich, white gravy. We also tried a couple of chicken tenders that may have been sitting a bit as they were a little dried out. The chicken, however, was fresh, hot and tasty. The restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly and service was fast. Overall, a good chain experience for a chain we hadn’t tried before.

Slow, slow, SLOW! I don’t really understand the attraction here. The chicken has a thick tasteless batter with little to no seasoning. I gave it a three unread of a two because the rolls are good but I didn’t go there for the rolls! Look somewhere else for your fried chicken fix.

I love this place! Usually we grab some food on the way home so we use the drive thru. There’s usually a wait at the drive thru since its pretty packed in the evenings we have gone. The order is always given to us correctly and the kids here are not stingy what so ever with the hot sauce. The food always seems to be nice and warm and packed carefully. At other places food is just thrown into the containers and at times ends up spilling on the way home. But here, I have never had an issue. Their sweet tea is the best! The customer service we have received at this location has always been awesome! The kids working hussle to get out orders out quickly, they’re courteous and always take our orders politely and with a smile on their face. They always make sure to ask if we need any condiments or anything else before we leave.

Clean bathrooms Exterior is clean and don’t see any trash spread across the parking lot like you usually do at fast food joints. Upon entering it meals like fried chicken goodness. However we never got to actually eat anything the«drive thru» is a joke. There was 2 separate lanes and car hops taking orders. No one ever came to our vehicle to take an order so we left.

I’m not a real big fan of Bush’s chicken but the service and the sweet tea keeps me coming back

My favorite among the area chicken joints(I.e. KFC, Church’s, Canes, Chic-fil-a). I go for the tenders and fried okra.

This location has been here on 3009 for about a year, and I can tell you the chicken and livers are awful. It seems they always store too much food under the heat lamps, I guess, anticipating a huge post superbowl party crowd. I love fried livers, me being from the South, and the thing about livers are – 5 minutes after frying them, that is their useful life. The livers here are always over fried, tough, and greasy – just like all their chicken, which by the way is also dried out. So everything here is greasy, bland, overcooked and dry. Why not go across the street to Bill Millers, who at this Schertz location has excellent and fresh fried chicken. For good, soft fresh livers — go to any Chicken Express, where they are usually cooked to order. The staff here are friendly, energetic, and fast. Bush’s Chicken has great meals for reasonable prices. We love their tenders, fries, and gravy. The drive-thru has three lanes and is fairly quick. Ironically, today it’s taking a little longer as they are dropping fresh tenders. Who can complain about«just-cooked» food? Anyway, dine-in, takeout, or drive-thru…it’s always good!
