Not a fan. I returned on a TDY visit after PCS’ing 10 months earlier. I had stayed in the family quarters previously but this was my first time in an individual room. I had no choice but to stay here given my status and had no issues with staying. However, it was a horrible visit as they were transitioning from heat to AC and in limbo because the temps didn’t warrant. The temperatures were cold, the rooms were cold, and there was no heat. I called the front desk and was told the installation controls it and I could have another blanket. So that’s what I did… got another blanket to sleep with while wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt while in the room to stay warm. Ridiculous for a paying customer. The rooms were very outdated but roomy. There’s no continental breakfast and the dining facility told my civilian counterpart and I that we weren’t authorized to eat there to our surprise. If you have a choice, stay off post where they care more about customer service.

When traveling, I like to utilize the facilities at military installations, especially transient barracks and other lodging that may be available. Nice accommodations. The rooms are adequate for a transient traveler, such as myself. My room was well maintained, with no problems to note. Check-in and check-out were effortless, with pleasant personnel manning the front desk. Snacks and assorted toiletries are available for a small fee. MetroBus has a station at the main entrance, making it easy to travel without the need for personal transportation while visiting. The bus can take you to the MetroLink station on base.
