What a delightful experience I had last weekend when I was drawn over to taste the wine from Skov! Annette was very personable and told us all about how her family and how they came to enjoy making wine. We learned how to properly pronounce the name Skov like«Sko» as well as it’s meaning… «Forest». The most significant part of this experience though… was the wine. WOW! The Sauv Blanc is my new fave white! The prices make it ridiculous not to fall in love as if the flavors gently tickling all your senses aren’t enough already. We got details on where we could buy more locally and walked away feeling very fulfilled. Then… while tasting the other day? We found the Sauv Blanc on the Santa Cruz Pier for $ 10 a bottle! Can this be?! Needless to say we bought some ASAP and claimed them as our own. Scotts Valley will see us for more tastings of Skov very soon… Thank you, Annette, for the most memorable introduction to a now favoured wine of mine.

A friend and I went to the Irish Cheese and Wine Festival amidst the rainy weather and we did not at all regret it! The owners are sooooo nice and how many wine tastings will you go to that they let you have seconds and even thirds? The community was also very friendly and unassuming that you’d feel right at home. Not to mention the beautiful Golden Retriever who would greet you and make you feel loved the next moment. Their wines are exquisite and I specifically loved the Chardonnay. I would definitely recommend to friends that we should go and maybe get memberships if they keep this up :)
