I am not sure what was more disappointing, the nasty dark haired girl at the register or the food. It was like going to my ex wife’s for a Steak-UMM sandwich…

The restaurant looks great from the road but inside, the atmosphere was lacking. I definitely don’t recommend eating in there. It had the atmosphere of a library; very quiet. No tvs and I had to be really quiet. It took 30 minutes to get our food. This is definitely a grab and go place or for delivery. The fries I got were the only saving grace, handcut gravy fries.

I am a Kansas boy and cheesesteaks are unknown out there. My favorite since we moved here 10 years ago are Dino and Francesco’s in Clark Summit. But this was outstanding, though next time I’ll ask for some mayo. A tiny bit dry. Great friendly service. Fries were fabulous. Place was Clean and fresh. I ordered provolone– can’t stomach cheese whiz. Gotta say the two steaks I have had in Philly didn’t impress me… Loved this one and will go back when my cholesterol permits!

Best cheese steak ever. Sorry I have been to the big name places in Philly and Cosmo’s makes them look like amateurs!

I just visited Cosmos today with my family … The place was clean. But as far as the cheesesteak. It wasn’t anything to rave about. It was okay… But nothing out of this world. The girl at the counter was nice… But very sloppy. Her hair was long and all over the place…(doesn’t look good when working with food). My son got chicken and fries… Nothing great… And our cheese fries were lame. Over all… I have had better … I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

The best Philly cheesesteak in the area and it’s not even close. It’s the closest thing you will find to Pat’s and Geno’s within an hour drive. Outside of the cheesesteak the only other things I’ve tried here are the fries– but that’s only because the cheesesteaks are so good. Their volcano fries go great with the cheesesteaks and they’re smart enough that if you order to go, to put the sauces on the side so that the fries don’t get soggy.

There are so many lunch places better than Cosmo’s. If I’m driving to South Side I’m going to Chicano’s, no question.

Everything here is pretty good. Nothing is out of this world, but I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service.

I visited Cosmo’s while I’m on business in Scranton, and I can honestly say they do the Philly cheesesteak right. As a Philly native I tend to try cheesesteaks wherever I go, and Cosmo’s really hits the mark. I got one wit with wit whiz and I felt like I was right back in my hometown. Also try the cheesesteak fries. they are ridiculously good.

Unsanitary, disappointing food. I had such high hopes for this place. My mom and I had just came from visiting Harrisburg where we had an amazing cheesesteak experience so we were craving another one. We knew better than expecting something identical but we were still looking for a good steak sandwich. The place was a decent size. It’s within an office building with a small private parking lot to the side. There were absolutely no other customers in there when we arrived around 11am on a Sunday, but this was around the time they opened. We began by ordering their four cheese cheesesteak with a side of homemade cheese fries(we were in a cheesy mood I guess). We had never been in here before so looking at their menu was a first. In a box to the lower right of the cheesesteaks were toppings, which we didn’t see, so we forgot to mention we wanted peppers and onions. You would think the cashier would have asked if we wanted any toppings while we were ordering but we ended up going back to the counter after noticing our mistake. Most toppings were not included. Just mayo. So you had to pay an extra $.50 per topping for an already $ 8.00 sandwich. It didn’t take too long for our food to be served, about 5 minutes, and it looked great. Although, biting into it, we were disappointed. It lacked flavor. I needed to add ketchup to mine it was so boring. The bread was strange, almost baguette like due to its chewiness, which did not go well with the cheesesteak at all. There wasn’t a lot of meat either. I know we ordered the four cheese, but the cheese to meet ratio was almost double and not in the«my sandwich is overflowing with goodness!» kind of way. It wasn’t overflowing at all… The fries were pretty good; home-cut and slathered with cheese sauce. It wasn’t anything amazing but they were decent. As my mom and I were sitting there eating our food I noticed something on my mom’s food. «Mom, I think there’s a hair on your plate». She looked down and reached to pull it off when she noticed it was attached to her sandwich! She started to pull… A long brown hair was slowly pulled from the bread of her sandwich(and neither of our hair colors are brown!!). She thought she got it all so she tried to put the idea behind her and keep eating but after another few bites, she saw another one mixed into the meat and cheese! Both of us put our sandwiches down with a loss of appetite. I mean we did end up splitting a large one, so who knows what was in mine… I ended up walking to the counter to inform them. I didn’t want another one nor was I looking for compensation, but I just wanted them to know. Maybe someone should wear a hair net back there? The woman ended up refunding the cheesesteak to my credit card which I give them props for(hence the two stars). I didn’t ask them too, but I am glad they did something in the end. We were pretty grossed out. Overall, we were very disappointed. The place itself was pretty gross. My mom went into the bathroom and said it was disgusting and they had just opened for the day! No excuses there. We hope no one has an experience like ours. It really killed our appetite. Even if the hair in our food didn’t happen, we probably wouldn’t go back(and I probably would have given them 3 stars instead). There are much better cheesesteaks out there and for better prices! I would not recommend this place.

I had the Super Volcano fries and They were delicious. It’s probably a cardinal sin not to order a cheese steak from here but I needed something quick and a little lighter. I will be going back and I’m sure my review will go from 4 to 5 stars.

Cosmo’s delicious made-to-order cheesesteaks make for quite a hefty meal — almost more food than you can finish in one sitting. I also recommend their Volcano Fries — they make a wonderful compliment to any cheesesteak! Despite outward appearances, the inside of Cosmo’s is rather small and seating is limited. Consider takeout as a viable option during the mid-day lunch rush.

Cosmos has the best cheesesteaks this far from Philly. Inspired by the Pat’s and Geno’s of south Philly, Cosmo’s does a fine job of representing the Philly cheesesteak community in Scranton.

My all time FAVORITE cheesesteak. 3 or 4 cheese is my go to with mushrooms and crispy cut volcano fries with whiz and bluecheese. OHMYGOD!!! The cheesesteaks are always piping hot, the cheese is perfectly melted and mixed through, perfectly seasoned. The rolls are thin and steamed you aren’t eating a bread sandwich with a piece of steak. The fries are amazing, I love the wing sauce mixed with the blue cheese and whiz. When I order to go I request the cheese, and sauces on the side. Super friendly staff, very fast service. The menu is not huge but they do cheesesteak and they do cheesesteak well. I crave Cosmo’s on the regular and make the 30 minute drive just to get me some. When I worked in Scranton my only complaint was they did not deliver, that would be perfect.

This place is seriously simple but the food is by taste. Bar none. We were here for the usual weekend gallivant and we stumbled on to this place. From the looks of the outside, it looks as if it would be a filled place but I remember being the Summer and Scranton, being a College town. It was a bit barren. Now onto the food. They had an extensive choice of Cheese Steaks and Chicken cheese Steaks. I wanted something a bit different from the normal steak and ordered one of their specials. The Mozzarella Bomb — Steak, Mozz cheese, Marinara Sauce, and cheese sticks, topped with oregano and romano cheese. with and addition to cheese sticks and cheese fries. 10 mins and bang. The food was out served by a cute waitress tableside. Perfectly cooked steak, more than you’d think of. Cheese fries were crispy with real cheese, and the cheese sticks. All I can say is Yum!!! Worth the trip every time. Perfect on low price and rich on taste and quality
