Andrea Trattoria was fairly empty when we went this should have been our first clue. We will give that a pass since it is winter. This was essentially the only gig in town. It is a BYOB which is a welcome addition. The hostess and wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered two appetizers one was the antipasto and the second was the special which was roasted long hots with sauce and cheese. Then we had a very plain underdressed salad that was dry and tasteless. We ordered two entrees on veal parmesan with pasta and a crab with homemade pasta. The crab dish was a recommendation of the waiter. The waiter was giving the most mouth water description a crab in a seafood broth in a white sauce with tomatoes. The dish came to the table in a heavy red sauce not at all like the explanation. The dinner arrived hot and was served friendly. All in all if you want generic Italian food … and I mean generic since I live in South Philadelphia than stop here. I probably will not be coming back. Lastly the waiter offered complimentary lemoncello when he offered a dessert tray. Everything on the tray seemed like it was from a restaurant catalog of frozen desserts. We passed on dessert. For two appetizers and two entrees the bill was $ 89.00 this is a bit much for BYOB. I am sure the summer residents are ok with this since there is not a great deal to pick from. I will pass this place by, not my scene. Have had much better meals on the island.

Been going here for 20 years and the food is really good and has been for years. It is one of the best places to eat down the shore. However it is also probably the slowest place to eat down the shore. The service is consistently awful. You can order pasta and be there 2 hours plus. It is incredibly slow and the portions have shrunk. Less food more money and lousy service even though the food is excellent. If this place could only get their service resolved it would be the best place to eat down the shore. Still its worth going to eat there for the great food but just prepared to be there for 2 and a half to 3 hours.

The food was awesome. Good presentation and authentic Italian tomato sauce. A bit too much cheese on every course but overall the food was delicious. Rare to find homemade desserts on the island that were as delicious as the strawberry shortcake. Will definitely come back next year!

Consistent quality. I have been going there since they opened and always have a great dining experience. Décor is one notch above that of the Chinese restaurant that was in their location previously but who cares. You can ‘t eat decorating. Selection is excellent and everything is good or better. Outside seating is great and not on a busy street. BYOB insures a selection that is a customer’s choice.

Just had my surprise shower on Sunday. One word: amazing. Food and service was out of this world. They set everything up and helped with anything and everything. I could not have asked for a better shower. Thank you Andreas!

We stopped in on a whim for dinner. It was a beautiful night and we were able to sit outside on the deck. We were pretty impressed. The bread was wonderfully. My wife had the chicken parm which was just a huge portion. She thought it was very good, but was only able to eat ½ of it. I had the linguine and clams in a white sauce. The portion was much smaller — wish it was more actually. The clams were fresh and still in the shell. The pasta was well cooked and sauce was flavorful. The only downside is they were out of soda…

I was reading reviews very eggar to try this place and I went here tonight and was super pleased the food was absolutely amazing and staff was super friendly. We arrived with our reservations and seated right away outside, atmosphere is great and the place is beautiful. We didn’t receive bread but other tables did so you might have to ask if you want some bread while waiting for food.
My boyfriend and I cleared our whole plates, good staff, great food. Also received our food very quick. I highly recommend this place

Our group of 9 easily got a reservation this past Sunday of MDW and everyone left satisfied and full! The dining room scene is cozy and vibrant all at the same time. Each entrée comes with bread and a house salad. We ordered a variety of pasta, meat, and seafood dishes that were devoured, all plates were cleaned! The standouts for me were the gnocchi in cream sauce and the fettucini with mixed mushrooms and Alfredo, still dreaming about these dishes! Extremely well priced, we split the check evenly and it came to $ 30/p with tax and tip — a steal! Oh, and it’s BYOB! Special shoutout to our ‘guest’ server of the night, BRIAN! He was super friendly, helpful, and patient with our large group and we all enjoyed his company at dinner!

Starters really good but entrée not hot when served. Sent back to have warmed and it took over 15 minutes… way too long. When they reserved the folks we were with were done eating. I would rate it much higher except the way they handled the situation was not good.

Went to this gem BYOB on a whim on a Saturday night with no resevation and was pleasantly surprised. I now understand why there are so many 5-star reviews. From the very start the service was excellent. A friendly, professional hostess swiftly sat us outside where the seating was simple and unpretentious with just the right lighting. I found the simplicity romantic. Outside we were at a nice observation point to soak in just enough of the hustle and bustle of Fish Alley yet far enough away to be shielded from sounds and shenanigans of the Bonner reunion. Our waitor, Ryan, was out immediately with perfectly clean wine glasses for the bottle we purchased down the road and ensured we had bread at the table. It came with herb infused oil which was a nice touch. This may sound silly but the water was refilled throughout the meal out of a pretty ceramic pitcher which reminded me of being in old world Italy. Ryan told us the specials with just the right amount of detail. It was tough to make a decision because everything sounded good. In the end we were very happy with the meal. I am unable to eat gluten or dairy. Ryan was very helpful and explained that everything is made to order. The cockles special was gorgeous and unique, fresh and delicious. Our meals came with a house salad which was fresh and light. Throughout courses our waitor checked in at exactly right time and anticipated our needs. I ordered the chicken with asparagus which was cooked to perfection and just as I requested without the cream sauce. Instead it had a light white wine sauce. Very good. My husband had the petite filets, cooked exactly to order. Both dishes had more than ample protein, complimented by vegetables and a small side of mashed potatoes which just enough. Everything garnished beautifully. Overall I left very content and pleasantly surprised by the low bill for this shoretown byob. I kept thinking all night of what a great experience. Great for group outing or romantic date. Looking forward to trying other dishes. We will be back!

THE UnilocalMENUPRICESAREMUCHLESSTHENTHENTHEACTUALPRICES. THEREIS A 5DOLLARSHARINGCHARGE Food was very good. I ordered the veal parmesan based on another reviewer who loved the chicken parmesan and it was tasty. Excellent service. House salad was small like the other reviewer said. I saw the Calamari at the table in front of me and it that was half the size it should of been. Ask how much the specials If you dont like big surprises. Overall we enjoyed our dinner

Me and my family ate here last night and I can honestly say nothing bad about this place! We were greeted at the door as if we were family and felt very welcomed by the owner herself. Sara was our server and I’ll go on about her later. Sara greeted us and explained the specials and asked if we had any wine bottles to open, we didn’t know it was byob and she quickly told us about the place down the street that delivers and she went and ordered it for us. We ordered 2 appetizers, calamari and a shrimp sausage app, they were amazing! We received unexpected salads and split clams linguini and my daughter got the homemade chicken tenders. The food was amazing and hit the spot perfectly! The best is when you are done they give you homemade lemonchello! For desert I got the strawberry cheesecake, best I ever had! So we had Sara as a server and although everyone helped out together and was very friendly she was something else. She was funny, awesome with my daughter, and on top of everything! We didn’t have to wait for a thing! She is by far the best server we have ever had! I heard her sing happy birthday to another table and her voice gave us chills. She is by far a great person and I wish her luck with all she does. I highly recommend this place to everyone visiting sea isle! Very great homemade Italian food!

Andrea’s is a BYOB in the heart of «fish alley» in Sea Isle City. The nice thing is they have parking right in front and to the side of their restaurant and there is a municipal lot down the street. It is a very family, casual atmosphere which is convenient for those with little ones on vacation! They have nice outdoor seating, but the view is of the parked cars… it amazes me that this restaurant doesn’t have a view of the harbor right behind them??? Reservations are highly recommended based on the fact that this place was packed when we walked in at 6pm and turned tables over quicker than I have seen in most restaurants(5 minutes after a four top left, another was seated). We were greeted by our waiter within five minutes of being seated and he presented us with the day’s specials. We ordered the special, long hots for an appetizer which are long peppers sautéed and generously smothered with mozzarella and red sauce. They were tasty with a little heat that crept up on us after each bite. Before dinner, a small garden salad is served — barely worth mentioning. It is so tiny and is mostly frisée and arugula. For dinner, I had the chicken parm which consisted of two thin breasts fried crispy with red sauce and fresh mozzarella. The sauce was thick and delicious. Best chicken parm I have had outside NYC. My husband had the spaghetti fra diavolo which was a bunch of different shellfish in a spicy red sauce over spaghetti(shrimp, scallops, calamari and clams). He said it was good and not too spicy. For dessert, our waiter presented a large dessert tray and I was pleasantly surprised to see there were no standard Italian offerings(ex, cannoli, tiramisu or tartufo). Instead, my eyes opened wide seeing the wide array of choices and found myself wanting to try all of them, but I ended up choosing one… the banana chocolate cream brûlée. It was amazing. I think it was actually chocolate mouse topped with sliced bananas with caramelized sugar on top. I would go back for that dessert alone it was so good! My husband got the peanut butter bomb which was equally delicious. A nice touch after dessert was the waiter offering us complimentary limoncello as a night cap. We said absolutely and were so happy we did. It is homemade and very smooth. The perfect ending to a perfect meal. The atmosphere is comfortable for families, large groups or couples. Surprising find in a seafood abundant area.

We were ill prepared for a busy Friday night in Sea Isle’s Fish Alley — no reservation and hungry bellies! We tried our luck at Andrea’s and from the start the hostess was incredibly accommodating. We were seated quickly and our server, Ryan stopped at the table right away. He listed off an incredible number of specials which all sounded delicious even a few that were finished table side! We had an absolutely fabulous meal of Mozzerella and roasted peppers, garden salads and then I had the linguine and clams in white sauce and my fiancé enjoyed the chicken parm. While the dessert tray was tempting we were so satisfied and stuffed that we agreed we will be checking out dessert first next time. Ryan was an excellent and attentive server and we cannot wait to go back to Andrea’s again! We are already planning on going next weekend! Thank you, Ryan!!!

While the bread and salad course were average, all of our entrees were amazing including the black linguini with hot sausage and shrimp, the vodka penne, and the veal piccata. Also had a fantastic appetizer with fresh figs, prosciutto, Gorgonzola, and balsalmic. The décor is average as well but the outdoor seating was nice. Definitely recommend!

Since this is by far one of our favorite restaurants, and like I said in my previous review«our favorite place to eat in Sea Isle», I felt I had to up this to 5 stars. It does get pretty crowded, so try to call as soon as you know you’ll be eating here. Penne Vodka is still our #1 and the long hots are always delicious even if I do think they’re a little overpriced. Service is so much friendlier than the other Italian restaurants in Sea Isle(Basilico’s, Fontana, etc.)
