I’ve been to this place four times since it opened. The first time was ok, however, I’ve given this location a few chances now and I think I’m done, even if it is conveniently located. The second time I stopped in, an employee was making a sandwich when she cut her hand. She went back and bandaged it, however, when she started to make my sandwich, blood was leaking through the bandage and a bit into the plastic outer glove. Suffice to say, I didn’t eat the sandwich… After deciding to come back and give them another couple of chances, the past two times I’ve been in there(around 7−8PM each time; keep in mind they don’t close until 10PM according to Unilocal) they had the condiments sitting on the back counter not being kept cold. If it were just for things like mustard and ketchup, I wouldn’t be concerned, but the black plastic condiment containers also had more perishable ones like mayonnaise, etc. In addition, many of these condiments were kept close to their sandwich toaster, so they were near a heat source. I’ll admit that I’m not a food safety expert, but I’ve always been taught that items like mayonnaise need to be kept cold to prevent them from going bad and potentially causing illness. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m all for starting to clean up early to be ready to leave at closing time, but I think there are better ways to accomplish that than leaving condiments out of refrigeration for extended periods of time. While the staff seems nice, it also seems they may need a refresher course in food safety. At any rate, I’m not taking anymore chances at this location. If you are looking for a Subway in this area, I have not seen these same concerns at the Nassau Bay location and have had good experiences there.

Really cute subway. Great service and good food. Only reason it’s a 4 and not 5 is because the order was totaled wrong. Noticed later. No crisis. The service was awesome though

Wow. Super nice new Subway! Plus so very convenient to my office. It’s situated in the strip mall right at the corner of Kirby and Nasa Road One, and if you didn’t know it was there you probably wouldn’t see it from the road, but it’s there, I promise! The inside looks more like a coffee shop than a sandwich shop; really nice tables and booths with some armchairs added as well. I stayed to eat lunch there and it was awesome to get away from a crazy day at the office and just chill at a quiet, cool place and eat in peace. I usually eat at my desk and of course rarely get a full lunch hour since I always get interrupted. The people are super friendly, they greet you when you come in and I overheard one of the workers saying how much she really liked working there. Now, granted, she was new and I’m sure the fast food industry will eventually kick the positive right out of her but for now, it was great to hear someone talk about how much they liked their job, instead of hearing them complain. The food is typical Subway, fresh and delicious. No better and no worse than any other Subway really. I did notice that they didn’t have the 2 for $ 10 Fresh Value Meal sign up, so not sure if they are running that promotions, but they were running a promotion for a $ 26-inch and a $ 4.0012-inch; I think it was just for the meatball and the BMT. It wasn’t for sandwiches that I order so I didn’t pay close attention to it. I hope they keep everything nice and fresh and friendly, as I have a feeling this may become my go to place for lunch when work gets too crazy busy.
