We came from Santa Ana to try this restaurant for breakfast and we are certainly pleased that we did.
What’s not to like, 3 pages of breakfast offerings, fast and very courteous service, great food and very fair prices.
It is definitely a keeper and we will be back.

Huge breakfast of Chicken Chili Verde omelette. Delicious! Got two sides (included) of spinach so breakfast was nearly guilt free. The place was packed but service was prompt and cheerful.

I come to this place on a weekly basis. GREAT food AMAZING service from ALL staff. This is most definatley my & my family’s favorite breakfast place. Highly recomend the waffles & breakfast benedict’s!

A great place with great food where the locals eat. Service was great, we ordered a protein scramble with spinach and broccoli, egg whites, potatoes not salty or greasy just yummy clean and fresh. It also came with toasted thick brown bread with butter and raspberry jam. Yummy

My family and I love coming here. It’s so great the the staff recognizes you and makes you feel so welcome ! The food is amazing, and I mean all the food. And they have flavored creamers :))

DELICIOUS!!! This place is awesome! The service is A+++ and the food is super yummy! The location is quaint and you feel like your at home having breakfast with family. I love this place so much we go every weekend to start off the day then we walk the pier to work off all that food we just ate. If you’re looking for great, flavorful food at a great price then stop at Old Town Café in Seal Beach. They are open everyday from 7:00 — 2:00. You’ll love the food and the staff when you visit this place!

We’ve all done this. You know about a place for a long time, but you never REALLY know about the place. I visit Seal Beach frequently and I never tried this place. That has all changed now for me and Old Town Café. A family member finally mentioned this place and took us there and we are so grateful she did.
Pros– the amazing food of course, I love the California Eggs Benedict, my wife has a crush on the Belgian Waffles, and my son loves their hot chocolate (everything looks great that I see on other customers’ tables); amazingly friendly and attentive staff; a small-​town, friendly local neighborhood vibe; reasonable prices
Cons– parking is difficult (but get out and walk off some calories in this quiet, beach city and the pier is really close to walk on and take in the beautiful views)

This place felt like home. They had the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They were generally happy and helpful. The food was great too! Large portions and great flavor. Pretty glad we found this place.

This little place was such a great find! Delicious food, amazingly attentive and kind service, clean and pleasant atmosphere.
The parking may be a challenge, but I like to park far and enjoy walking the area.
It can get busy, but I promise it’s worth it. Heck, I’d wait for the housemade raspberry jam alone!

My friend recommend this place. She and her boyfriend frequent this place on Fridays. She recommended the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. OMG! It’s heavenly. The people are fantastic. They are upbeat and friendly. I highly recommend Old Town Café the food is amazing.

The waffles were almost perfect, needs a little more crispiness, everything else was also very good. The bacon and hashbrowns were perfect. I will definitely recommend this place for breakfast to my friends. I also need to try the eggs benedict, they looked amazing! The restaurant itself got busy really fast after 9AM, but the waitresses handled it and we’re very attentive. They kept the restaurant clean and everyone happy.

Hubby and I were enjoying an afternoon stroll in Old Town Seal Beach, avoiding Black Friday, and ended up in this little restaurant. All other spots were super-​busy and we didn’t feel like waiting. But this place was finishing up its last half-​hour of the day. We ordered some huge and delicious burgers: hubby had one of the specials, I built my own (bleu cheese, onion rings). Service was quick. Spectacular food, and enough to save half for my always hungry son! Be sure to check-​in via Unilocal,as you will receive a discount. Parking in this area is tight, but if you drive down Electric Avenue a bit you can find some street parking and walk to the main drag.

Came just in time for breakfast at 1:30. Ahahah. They are very fast to serve which is something I LOVE. would recommend to anyone in the area. Will be coming back to try more on the menu.

My roommate and I were on a hunt for a new breakfast joint to try and we stumbled upon old town café. From the Unilocal reviews and pictures, we decided to go ahead and give it a try. Unfortunately, our decision was wrong!
Ham scramble — Basic… I feel like a kid could make it. But it looked so good in pictures… yeah, and that’s about it!
Peanut butter & jelly French toast — too sweet. You can hardly taste the peanut butter & jelly. I’m pretty sure they used condensed milk which overpowered the whole thing. Don’t get me wrong, I love sweets. I am all about it. But I couldn’t even eat 2 bites (I’m not joking).
Service was very poor also.

Yes I was one of those people who went to La Crema first or whatever it’s called. I honestly saw the pics of the waffles on Unilocal for that place and was not impressed. Plus it said free muffin with check in but after looking at it properly it’s free after THREE check ins which is lame. I just didn’t like the vibes of the place, don’t know why. So I Unilocaled another place and this came up and it wasn’t a far walk and it’s closer to the pier.
Honestly my first impressions were like «Oh no I shoulve stayed at la crema» It was pretty gross inside. Very old. The chairs are really old and covered in that plastic wrap. Just needs a haul. They deserve to look so much better than that. the wallpaper and tables are just so outdated And it’s very tight and small inside.
But I decided to stick around because they give you 15% off your bill with Unilocal check in. The waitress was really nice and accomdating because I wanted a waffle with chocolate chips stuffed inside, with strawberries on top. Even though it wasnt on the menu, I appreciate the fact she was flexible with the order. I didn’t wait too long for the waffle. I was really impressed and surprised by how good it was. Thats why I say they deserve to change how the place looks, because it does not match the quality of the food. Really great waffle. I really enjoyed it. It was fresh and perfect. It was enough to even have some left overs for later which is always nice. Overall good experience and if Im in the area Ill probably stop by again.

I would go back here, but would try other places first.
Small restaurant with really small tables.
Had the chorizo omelette… Wish there was more chorizo.
My brother loved the churro pancakes– they come rolled.
My dad had chorizo Benedict and loved it! There was a nice smoky sauce on top that was tasty.
When you ask for your hash browns well done here, they actually make them well done!
Restroom– you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathrooms.

The CAFÉ in the little OLD TOWN
I feeling a bit like crap warmed up for some reason. There is a slight drizzle coming down which I LOVE but thought I was getting sick so didn’t go to paddle practice. Plus I didn’t want to be rained on and I was already feeling NOT SO GREAT! I rolled over a got another hour of shut eye before my body couldn’t stand it anymore and I got out of bed. It was so DELIGHTFULLY QUIET! I LOVED IT!
I almost NEVER have a morning to myself to just do nothing so I decided we should go out to breakfast. To my Unilocal APP I went in search of something GOOD, with variety and CLOSE because I wasn’t feeling like driving too far. I remembered Seal Beach had some b-​fast places and I figured we could have a NICE QUIET b-​fast without too many peeps trying to chat us up. I brushed my snags threw on a comfy hoodie I have been dying to wear since the cool weather rolled in, and some jeans. My hair was doing its chia pet morning routine so I found a hat to hind my chia pet ringlets and headed out the door. Curly hair can be a pain.
We got there in no time and because it was still fairly early and we found parking right away. SCORE! Not always easy down here as it’s a beach city so hunting for parking sometimes comes with the territory. Apparently others had the same idea there were already peeps waiting for a table. I stepped in the door and gave my name then we went to sit out on the little bench outside they have. They had some sample mini muffins to try so we had one. MOIST and GOOD! I couldn’t pick out the flavor but it was YUMMY!
About 5 minutes later we were seated. We both got a coffee and I water with no ice and lemon. And checked out the menu. This place was hoppin’. It is pretty tiny inside and has 20 tables so they can pack in the peeps. The NICE thing is that it looks a bit cramped but it’s NOT. You DON’T get the feeling like you right on top of the other person, which is a NICE thing with someone you like but NOT SO MUCH with complete strangers.
There were 4 ladies all working together to make sure the customers were taken care of. The 2 servers were running back and forth, taking orders, bring out food and refilling water and coffee. The other two hostesses made sure they sat customers, got drink orders and cleared tables or brought out doggie bags for left overs and whomever was available would check you out. They worked REALLY WELL TOGETHER and SUPER FRIENDLY and NICE! Most peeps are down there anyway which I another reason I LOVE IT!
I ordered the chili cheese omelet with egg beaters and home potatoes and it came with a muffin. I found out later it was a nana muffin made with REAL nanas but I didn’t taste them AT ALL! SOOO GOOD! I actually had it boxed up and ate later. My chili cheese omelet was REALLY GOOD and so were the HOME MADE POTATOES. NOT from the freezer they use REAL FRESH POTATOES and they were NOT greasy either. It was REALLY NICE to taste the FREAH POTATOES. I should have gotten some onions and bell peppers cooked in them. Maybe next time.
GOTEB got the ham and cheese skillet. I think it had potatoes cooked in it as well. And it came with a muffin. GOTEB LOVED it! We chatted and ate and looked at some HIDEOUS BALL GOWNS on the iPad. It was A LOT of food so our server brought over some containers for us to put out food in. She also refilled our coffee and told us NO RUSH and to TAKE OUR TIME even though the place was SUPER DUPER BUSY! I thought that was REALLY NICE she didn’t rush us. It was so NICE to just sit and chat and laugh IN THE MORNING! NOT having ANYWHERE to go WAS GREAT for me and I ENJOYED it!
The FOOD and SERVICE is GREAT here! Come check them out if you are in the neighborhood. Plus they server B-​FAST ALL DAY! Another plus for me.
