I’ve been back quite a few times now and am convinced this is about as comfortable a place as I’ve found in So Cal. Comfort extends to the ‘personality’ of the place, as well as its food and refreshments. The food is freakin’ great! And although it ain’t the cheapest place in the world the pricing is not bad. We were back again today with my buddy Chuck Kelly and I ordered a simple turkey & avocado sandwich while he ordered the fish ‘n chips. Mine was good but his looked like a knockout. See photos…

Another awsome morning at O’MALLEYS. Hanna is our server again this morning! She was great last time we were here. If course mimosas but we will split an ABC omelette. Pictures to follow Grateful! Ok so the omelette was decent… but the potatoes were good but such a small amount I thought maybe a potato ration was going onthat I was unaware of not to mention the fruit I’ll take a photo of the rinds served. However the service was exceptional!

My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for years. However, this will probably be my last time. Since the change in ownership things have changed dramatically and not for the better. On this particular day we came for breakfast and we had to go and find our waitress for a refill on our coffee. Add to that, we waited for over 45 minutes for our food, supposedly due to the menu change(which was also disappointing). By the time we finally got our food, the breakfast burrito I ordered only had egg, with the cheese and potato missing. I didn’t send it back because of the length of time it took to get it in the first place.

This is the best restaurant I have had lunch at in a while. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was amazing, and the food was delicious. The perfect place to each after a day at the beach. Definitely five stars.

We have been coming to O’Malley’s frequently for at least 17years. Unfortunately, they are under new ownership and they just changed the menu completely(5÷15÷16). Why fix what wasn’t broken??? Our orders were completely wrong and in no way the quality of days past. Oh and if you are GLUTENFREE, FORGETABOUTTHISPLACE. There are absolutely NO accommodations or options for GF folks as all foods are cooked on the same cooktop. I asked if I could at least have my food cooked in a pan instead of the cooktop and I was told yes, I obviously asked for no bread on my order and guess what, my order was not only wrong, it had a bunch of slices of bread on top. Really??? It is becoming more rare now days to not be aware of GF needs or have options. The others in the party(ALL) of them, were also disappointed with the food. Just not good anymore. Too bad O’Malley’s, you just lost some very long time and frequent customers. I guess if you don’t know the old O’Malley’s, then I guess you wouldn’t know any better. But those of us who frequented this place are being alienated. Good luck to you O’Malley’s.

I give this rating with a heavy heart. This used to be my go to for Main st. Seal Beach, but ever since Legends bought Omalley’s, almost everything has gone downhill. The beer selection has become anemic, the service is now spotty, and the quality of food has declined. I have always ordered the halibut fish and chips, it was never greasy, and always perfect. Now, it has become soggy and oily. They quit giving g the free side salad with the meal, and they upped the price by 2 dollars. My fioncee ordered a white russian, she stated that it tasted like a mix of half well vodka and half 2% milk, no bailey’s. They also got rid of about a third of their beer selection, for me, that is a huge dealbreaker. I’m sorry to see what you have become O’Malley’s on main, rest in peace

Came in on Sunday afternoon around 5:30pm Immediately greeted at the front desk(which was nice). Then proceeded to the back patio seating area where my party was waiting. The server(forgot her name, but she was beautiful) greeted me and took my drink order without any delay.(She was friendly and helpful, big plus she was well trained and knew the menu inside & out) I inquired about the meatloaf. I was completely joking as to whether it was good or not, and she vouched for it, saying«it would change my life». I do have to say now after having the meatloaf it was pretty effing good. I had two Gin and tonics and our party sparked up a few cigars. The server was consistent and she checked on us every other 5 to 10 minutes. I found this extremely professional and ultimately it’s led me to writing this review. My overall experience was excellent and I highly recommend anyone looking to find an amazing meatloaf dinner, this is the place.

Derek and I came here for a pre-St Paddy’s Day meal. The venue is pure pub and the service was friendly and quick for our late Sunday lunch. When we walked in, I thought I wanted a Bloody Mary. As it turns out, the frosty glasses of beer that I saw being consumed at the bar turned my head and we both ended up with Anchor Steams on draft. My Reuben sammie was delicious and generous with the corned beef and sauerkraut. And I love the way they cut and cook their fries. Derek was disappointed in the amount of bacon in his BLT, but still enjoyed his meal. I wish we had room for bread pudding, but that would just have ended in misery. All in all, an enjoyable experience that we will likely repeat.

Absolutely disappointed. Our 7th year in a row starting St Paddys Day having breakfast at O’Malleys. The new menu was horrible, pre made corned beef hash was room temperature at best. In three hours only had three rounds of drinks and our waitress only had 4 tables. We usually sit at the front with the windows open to the beautiful fresh air. We asked if the Windows could be open and were told no but the would turn the air conditioning on. The smoking patio had its doors wide open but non smokers couldn’t get fresh air. The new owners have ruined our Irish tradition and definitely lost regular long time customers. Learn from your local and regulars, they fill the seats and pay your bills.

We are never disappointed when we come to O’Malley’s Irish pub. The food is yummy, the atmosphere is cozy, and I appreciate the child friendliness. Fish and chips with malt vinegar a family favorite.

This was great! We actually settled on this place because the wait was so long where we really wanted to go, but it was delightful. We had the chili(amazing), the onion rings, and beef dip. Service was fast and polite. We walked right in and got a table by the window. They also have tables by a really cool giant fireplace. Will definitely come back!

O’Malleys is located in the beautiful sea side village of Seal Beach on Main. I’ve seen it many times before and it always looked nice enough from the outside but never went in. Being an Irish bar, I’ve always assumed it would be a cool place for drinks but not really my first choice for food. So how did I find myself here ordering dinner? Good question. A very good friend insisted on going there for some late night eats. The mixed drinks we ordered were good enough… Ok now, I really wanted to like this place. The moment you walk in, you realize how comfy it looks. Nice dark wood adorned the walls and ceiling. A warm inviting fireplace to sit and eat by. The type of interior that was very cool and warm at the same time. The dishes we ordered were a Chicken Caesar salad, Pastrami sandwich, fish and chips and some sort of Irish dog. It was the strangest tasting sausage. Not even palatable. The salad dressing was«Horrible». The fish was not good either. What a big disappointment. I think the owner should be forced to eat the meals he serves up to his paying customers and the chef is completely out of touch with what good food is supposed to taste like. Maybe breakfast is good… I don’t know! Maybe the burgers are good… I don’t know! I’m guessing this might be a cool place to come and have a few brews with your friends but don’t come hungry or you’ll be forced to eat something you’ll likely regret. I must say that our waitress Emma was great! The great service she provided us with had nothing to do with the terrible food. Needless to say, I most likely won’t be going there again.

Wow has this placed changed. New owners aren’t winning the locals over. No wonder this place is always empty. We came here to watch sports and STEVE the bartender wouldn’t allow us to watch sports cause he wanted to watch what he wanted to watch. Does Steve like to make money. Happy patrons equals more TIPS. Business 101 for you Steve! So I guess it’s better all 7 us leave and go spend our money else. Poor poor customer service wanted to argue about it. Come here if you wanna hang out with him cause the bar is empty.

After eating here a few times over the years we went back and were disappointed to learn of new unfriendly ownership. I was in the mood for breakfast and according to their printed sign up front they served breakfast until 12. Perfect! WRONG. They do NOT serve breakfast until 12 and it took sitting there for several minutes waiting for a server to come to be informed of this. No apology for the delay in service and no apology for having incorrect information displayed outside. The waitress had the nerve to say that I must have misread the sign. We walked out without ordering and on the way out I took a picture of the sign that clearly reads breakfast until 12. Meh, whatever… This place wasn’t that awesome last time we ate there anyway and we found an even better place up the street where the servers were actually friendly.

I love O’malley’s. I come here ALL the time. Whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is always good. I especially love their breakfast food. O’malley’s is super laid back with consistently good food and pretty good service. The bartenders especially are super awesome and friendly. In the evenings after dinner, it turns into more of a bar then a restaurant and they even have a late night menu. On weekends, there is usually live music too. They have a good selection of wine and beer and the Bloody Mary’s are really good and not too spicy. During the day, parking is difficult on main street but if you come for dinner or drinks in the evening, parking is much easier.

I would like to return to O’Malley’s to try their dinner. The shepherds pie is not available in the morning, which is when we came for breakfast. I enjoy eggs Benedict. It is one of my favorite breakfast dishes. This two star rating is mostly because of the eggs Benedict. I wasn’t sure whether or not to send it back. I ended up eating it. I was so dissatisfied afterwards though, and realized that I should have sent it back. I can’t in good conscience give three stars(it was not A-Ok). I also can’t give one star, because it wasn’t an absolutely terrible experience. «Meh. I’ve had better» pretty much sums it up. For $ 9.95, I expect a somewhat decent eggs Benedict. The Canadian bacon seemed slightly sour and off tasting. I wasn’t sure if it was just my taste buds? I usually highly enjoy eggs Benedict. The English muffin wasn’t tasty at all – it was dry and seemed old. I don’t know what type of eggs they use, but the poached eggs were not fresh. The potatoes were average. The hollandaise sauce was not good either. There was an overall sourness to the dish. All in all, I did not have a good experience. Service was average. While we were waiting for our food, a server brought a plate of bacon and set it down. He then asked us who ordered the stack of three pancakes, which was no one in our party. We all realized he brought the food to the wrong table. This wouldn’t upset us normally, but my three kids became anxious because we were already waiting over 20 minutes for our food. My three kids do cause a mess, and throw a lot of crayons. The staff was good about picking them up. Essentially, the eggs Benedict was pretty bad. I have heard good things about the shepherds pie and hope to experience that in the future.

I’m one hell of a satisfied customer. I had just demolished The Best Shepard Pie that money can buy. It’s filled with tender chick of lambs along with peas & carrots, the real mashed potato and served with an excellent gravy that’s rich in taste; not too thick; just the right consistency. I’ve ordered this dish at least at half of a dozen restaurants; none of them even come close . Give it a try; you will never go elsewhere for it!
