I have been wanting to try this for maybe 30 years and finally did. Took a group of clients at 1p on Monday, 6 of us total. I was surprised when I got in, I thought this was a «hip /contemporary» place and looks more like an old school restaurant from Madmen days. The server staff about the same, up in the years. So the food is spot on, small portions and super expensive. We all ordered various things and didn’t disappoint. 6 of us came to $ 305 with no alcohol, appetizers or sides… so very expensive. NOW. the service was terrible. took a while to order but understandable since we were all laughing and chatting. Once the order went in, i timed it, it was 50 minutes to arrive. We were all pretty annoyed with. Now for you in So CA, June 20th, 2016 was the hottest day on record at 107. So what do you know, the restaurant was a good 80 to 90 inside. We were all sweating and uncomfortable. Complained about the air 3 or 4x and no apologies, just«i told the manager.» Should have comped our iced teas or something! LOL We were all miserable and had a bad experience. So. .. . super ancient ambiance here, food good /over priced, service very slow and no concern that we were boiling while dining.

1st time there, ordered $ 24 cobb salad. For a very classy restaurant it was very disappointing, portions very small for the price, friends steak sandwich served with potato chips. Good dessert. Have heard good things from others so will try again, maybe

Came here to celebrate Fathers Day and was definitely not disappointed. My dad wanted to watch the live jazz band but I couldn’t get tickets. No worries, we were still able to hear them play from the dining room. I ordered the braised short ribs, talk about fall off the bone. The meat was soft, succulent and pleasantly tender. Next I had the ravioli, oh boy. Round pasta pillows stuffed with butter squash that burst in your mouth with flavor. We also ordered a variety of desserts. The crème brûlée had a nice cool custard and the cheesecake was luscious, smooth and creamy. Oh yeah, the tiramisu was rich, airy and you can really taste the cocoa and expresso. This was our first time here and we will definitely come back. I don’t know what band was playing that night but they were definitely bringing down the house. Overall we all had a great dining experience.

It’s been a while but the service still good and still love the Chilean Seabass… girl friend had the Salmon Special tonight was also delicious. Got free crème brûlée dessert by checking in Unilocal… yes it’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it. Valet is right there for us ladies too

amazing food and amazing service! we definitely had an experienced server for our table of 5(plus baby) celebrating a birthday. amazing vodka martinis and foccacia bread to start. calamari(with three dipping sauces!) and Caesar salad(with an actual anchovy!) were also great. my spaghetti was a smaller portion, and honestly not the best i’ve ever had, but overall the service and everything else made up for that and more. finally, VANILLABUTTERCAKE was bomb. would love to come back if i lived closer to seal beach.

We just got back to our hotel after a lovely dinner at Spaghettini. Natalie took our order and she was extremely knowledgable! We started with calamari, romaine green salad, caprese salad, Hubby got Bone-in-Ribeye w/garlic spinach & mac & cheese. I got Italian sausage fettuccine. We had a side of grilled Brussel sprouts. Way too much food, but we were really hungry! We took a good portion back to the hotel. He got a free crème brûlée & I got the strawberry shortcake. Both were excellent. We sat near the window, it was very quaint & sweet! Highly recommend!

Had a nice dinner here recently. The atmosphere is really nice and elegant, lounge-like in some ways. This is a great option for a special occasion or upscale meal. Food is prepared with attentiveness and exceptional ingredients. We tried the short rib and sea bass entrees, both of which were very well prepared. The crème brûlée was the best I’ve tasted. Our server, Natalie, was friendly, competent, and provided neither too little nor too much presence. It was nice to see professionalism without pretension. We felt welcomed and appreciated.

U like lounge? No smoke? Good vibe and live jazz? This is a great spot. Reserve much ahead of time for the band/entertainment that you like and try to get the seating right in front of the band. There is nothing like a live band in front of you. Place gets really packed at lunch time although seatings can always be found in the dining area further from the band. I love that they have really interactive atmosphere. Def make sure to fill out the form as you never know it could be your lucky day to win a variety of gifts. Any special request or attention to be brought to anyone make sure to let them know as they will give the shout outs. The band will even take special request if you get them ahead of time. At $ 25 to reserve seating(not paid towards cost of meal) and $ 60 for the buffet itself on Sunday, the bill came out to about $ 72 if you don’t order anything off the buffet and brunch menu. And by the way with a large party the waiter writes in their tip. I have to say although the price is quite steep, you have to realize you’re eating buffet breakfast, entrée brunch, unlimited mimosas and coffee, and have tickets for live entertainment. A wonderful place for large gathering as well as a place if u don’t mind live music with food. The only thing I wish was they put a spotlight on the person with the mike as I kept turning to see who I should go to in case they called out my name for a winning ticket. Extremely easy parking right off the freeway. Sorry valet. But at six dollars for valet it is really not that bad if it’s jam-packed.

Arrived unexpectedly to try a a new restaurant, Spaghetinni. Nice and refreshing. Started with appetizers or meatballs and«ahi tower». The guys enjoyed the meatballs, but the ahi was awesome and fresh. Orders a delicious wine from Flowers, a Pino and it is delightful and flavorful. Main course was lasagna, lamb chops, and sea bass. All were flavorful and the portions were good. Now to dessert, Crème brûlée was sweet and light but the flourless cake won my heart. Overall the evening was pleasant and the service was attentive. Highly recommend.

Went here for dinner last night. We sat in the jazz lounge area, which was pretty neat. The area where we were sat though was a bit tight, but it was understandable considering there were so many people that wanted to sit in this area. We started off with the meatballs as an appetizer. It was pretty good, but nothing that really blew our mind. For the main course, my boyfriend had the Lamb Chops which were really good, but the Chilean Sea Bass which I ordered as my main course was unbelievable! It was nice and buttery and that parmesan crust was superb. Everyone has to try the Chilean Sea Bass when here at Spaghettini!

Came here for our 15th wedding anniversary and found the restaurant to be very busy. The service was excellent, but the food on the other hand was nothing to brag about for the price you have to pay. We had 8oz filet that was salty along with lasagna that was on a dry side. Was only able to finish the filet and left over lasagna was brought home. With 2 glasses of wine and a appetizer, the bill came out to $ 151, tip included. The atmosphere was very nice. There was live jazz music on the opposite side of restaurant where it was a full house on a Thursday night. Very memorable place for a special occasion, but for a casual dining, Olive Garden would be preferable where price is definitely reasonable.

Came here for a friends birthday. Pretty cool how they have a jazz band playing on the right and dining only was on the left. I wish I knew that so I would of made a reservation for the Jazz side instead. — Bone in ribeye with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese: i got medium rare and this came out super rare. I should of asked the server to cook it a bit more but I ended up just eating it like that. It tasted okay. Both the sides are good. — Seafood conchiglie: this was good but pasta portion sizes are really small. I was amazed. Usually pasta places give you a good amount of pasta. Substituted the regular sauce for red sauce. This place isn’t bad but I didn’t love the steak or the pasta so probably wouldn’t return.

My husband took me to dinner here as a late Valentine’s Day celebration. It was my second time here(see previous review). This is one of my favorite places to eat, but due to the price, this establishment will be saved for special occasions. Our waitress, Cat H, was excellent, very friendly and attentive, as were the busboys, who consistently stopped by to refill our waters. Between my husband and me, we ordered: –Perfect Pear martini: very delicious and mixed well. I could barely taste the alcohol, I just wish it was bigger. –Mac & cheese app: slightly breaded, yummy and gooey and I loved the added parmesan flavor. –Chicken vegetable soup(soup of the day): I loved the broth and the veggies, nothing wrong with the chicken, but I’m used to vegetable soup without the chicken. –Lasagna: My favorite dish. Incredible and amazing, delicious layers of perfectly cooked noodles, tasty sauces and cheeses. –Breaded chicken: My husband’s dish, he ordered with risotto instead of the regular side; He enjoyed it. I tried it, the chicken and risotto were good. –Crème brûlée(free with Unilocal check-in): one of the better crème brulees that I’ve had. –Butter cake: with a scoop of vanilla ice cream; my husband preferred this over the crème brûlée.

My husband and I came here for the first time and we had an amazing dining experience thanks to our server, Natalie! She is very courteous and pays great attention to detail. She made sure we received our food at the right pace and checked on us at just the right intervals. Thank you Natalie!!! We had the calamari platter, Caesar salad, seafood pasta, and spaghetti & meatballs. Everything tasted great! The Unilocal app offered a free crème brûlée coupon, so we used that for dessert. Just as we expected the crème brûlée was awesome! I give this restaurant a 5 star for both food and service!

2016 Unilocal100CHALLENGE — 006⁄100 Came here for the first time a few weeks ago while attending an event here with my PIC, Shannon M. Thanks so much for inviting me! :) The event we attended was for Sunday brunch. I was SO surprised that they had a full on buffet with hors d’oeuvres, sides, main courses, seafood, AND desserts… but then you were also allowed to order a main course dish AND they had unlimited cocktails all for free(granted, it was an event we were invited to so we didn’t have to pay: P)! This seemed too good to be true! I think it’s normally $ 60 per person! I started with the buffet and got a plate full of starters. Some of the items offered included: hot pastas, fried shrimp, seared ahi, crab sushi rolls, mussels, halibut ceviche, seasonal fruit, grilled & marinated veggies, assorted salads, speciality appetizers, breakfast items, variety of imported and domestic cheese, freshly baked breads, and muffins. The mac n cheese was sooo good, and I also had some pasta salad and potato salad that was really great as well. For main courses, we were offered the following options: — eggs benedict — buttermilk waffles — waffles & wings — sliced sirloin steak — salmon picatta — buttermilk fried chicken — louisiana style catfish — chilean seabass — eggplant pamesan I ended up getting the sliced sirloin steak, which was cooked really well! I made the rookie mistake of eating too much from the buffet so I wasn’t able to finish my steak… but it was REALLY good and I wish I could have taken it home! And as for drinks, we were offered the following: — bottomless mimosas(literally, I don’t even know how many I had because the waiters were VERY quick to refill these!) — bloody mary — bellini martini — pomegranate lemonade — pear nectar martini — razz-lemon drop — california daiquiri — espresso martini The mimosas were great, and I also tried the California Daiquiri(bacardi superior rum, strawberry purée, lime juice, pineapple). I actually didn’t really like it that much, but at least it was free! Hahaha… There was also great live entertainment from this R&B Soul/Jazz band called DW3. I have seen them perform at the other Spaghettini’s location in Beverly Hills, and they were great! Overall, I had a great Sunday brunch at Spaghettini’s, and I would LOVE to come back sometime! The food was overly abundant and really excellent! Super impressed. 5 stars!

This review is for the Sunday Brunch. We’re nearly an hour late because of an event in Long Beach that had a lot of road closures but we called ahead of time while we were trying to find our way out and they kept out table and we never felt rushed during our over two hour meal. With that said, don’t come to the Sunday brunch thinking you’ll be able to dine for an hour and leave. You’ll be here for nearly two to three hours enjoying samplings from the buffet, waiting for the entrée you hope you left enough room in your stomach for, and listening to music. The buffet will almost never disappoint. I usually go right for he seafood items, cheeses, a bit of pasta, and some good looking spreads to dress up some bread. I would skip the sushi rolls, only thing I wasn’t impressed with. Along with the buffet, you have a choice of an entrée. I usually go for the salmon but I tried the Chilean sea bass and it was pretty good! If you like sweets, then you must save room for dessert! I loved all the small sliced cakes/bars available. The dessert bars always changed which was both a good and bad thing. It was great because of the endless variety, but bad if you sampled a bite from someone else’s plate and decide you want a piece of your own but it’s already gone and replaced with something else. But something that is always there and always delicious are the mini crème brûlées!

I love this place from the food to the musicians. My buddy Marcus Johnson plays at restaurant when he is is town. The service is always great. I had the shrimp plate which was emaculent. I’m very picky when it comes to seafood but the shrimp and so forth were excellent. I finished off with chocolate cake which was also tasty. Spaghatini will continue to have my business in the near future.

Had a company dinner here last Friday. Made reservations for 8 at 8:15pm over the phone and was emailed a confirmation. There’s valet parking for $ 6 in front of the restaurant, and if you’re lucky, you can find parking in the same lot(but more than likely not), so you can park across the street in the business center(be careful when crossing the street though as this is a freeway entrance and cars can be going rather fast). I’ll get right to the point on this place. Everything, from the service, to the food, to the wine, to the timing of the plates, was on point. The place was packed, and our waiter did an excellent job in keeping a smile on his face and making sure we were taken care of at all times. We ordered: Filet Mignon Carpaccio — clean, cool taste. Arugula that accompanied it was very fresh. Antipasti — my favorite appetizer. Lots of slices of meat and cheese and was fun to eat. Paired nicely with red wine. Pommery Shrimp — delicious. Giant, succulent shrimp pieces. Berkshire pork meatballs — did not try but pieces were pretty large and coworker really enjoyed them. For soup, had the cauliflower crème with lobster which was a special for the day. Absolutely delicious. The taste was balanced very well, not too creamy, and the lobster complimented it very nicely. For the entrée, ordered the lamp chops medium rare. Cooked to perfection. Many of my other coworkers ordered the ribeye or filet mignon, and everything was cooked to perfection. Whoever cooks the meats here really knows what they’re doing so I applaud them. Lamp chops were delicious… soft off the bone, a bit gamey, and paired perfectly with my red wine(as you can surmise, we had plenty of red that evening). We all shared the conchiglie Bolognese as well. It was good… nothing amazing, but good enough. For dessert, we ordered 4 to share with 8 people which was a perfect number. Had the tiramisu, Boston cream pie, crème brulee, and bread pudding. Everything was very good… I think the favorite out of the group was the crème brulee. Everything was excellent and everyone had a great time. Pair up a great ambiance with delicious food and efficient, friendly service and you got yourself a winner. Loved the experience and look forward to coming back again.

Was here the other day for the first time, with my girl. She bought tickets there for us to see some jazz. The atmosphere was great. The service good. The food ok. Had they not handled our concerns* as well as they did, I’d probably give only 2 stars. They deserve 3.5. *By handled I mean removing the items from our bill with no questions asked. We would have easily had a $ 200 tab for the two of us which at that level your food needs to be exceptional. It was not. I sent my cocktail back because it was mostly ice and was too sweet. It was their«Capone» drink from the menu. I asked instead for an Old Fashioned. It was terrible but I drank it. From that point on I ordered my whisky neat so they couldn’t screw it up. Their pours were disappointedly conservative. I abhor that. We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. They were gross so we returned those. I ordered the Alaskan Halibut. It was fishy and overcooked. The waiter serving the table beside ours, his name was Eddie, noticed I wasn’t eating and offered to have them cook a new one. I said only if it’s going to be fresh and cooked properly. He assured me it would be, but it wasn’t. The second one was cooked properly but it wasn’t fresh, so we went it back. Our waitress told us that Halibut is out of season. We retorted asking why have it on the menu. The other food we got was good: Mac and Cheese, Filet Mignon, but certainly not exceptional. I was surprised that a manager never visited us. The waitress was friendly but she didn’t seem in tune with the situation. Eddie her neighbor saved our dinner experience. We gave him Jackson on our way to the jazz bar. He authentically tried to not accept it but I insisted(3 times). He didn’t know what kind of bill I was handing him. The Jazz lounge was cool. Large crowd. The band played a few numbers but then some guy took the stage and invited all his friends and family to sing Christmas songs. They were great singers, but we left after an hour because we wanted lounge jazz. I would return for the Jazz, but not the restaurant. Not worth the prices they charge.

This was my first time attending brunch so I didn’t know what to expect which I think helped make this experience that much better. Expect the unexpected? Haha. There was a live jazz band that played classics, and I might be young but I know good music! It definitely added to the atmosphere, which made it fun! The food was really good! The cool thing about this brunch is that in a separate room there was a little buffet area where you can eat as much as you can and also a menu you can choose one dish from! SOMUCHFOOD! But it was all so good, so I somehow managed to make room for everything. I went with a group of 8 people so we all ordered one thing each from the menu and got to try a little bit of everything, which I recommend anyone to do! My favorite part was the dessert table! The chocolate mousse and the crème brûlée was really yummy and presentation was cute! Our waitress was Jill and honestly she made this whole experience well worth it! She was super friendly, helpful, and always knew when to come with a refill for our bottomless mimosas ;) Overall I would definitely come back and do this again! The price might scare you at first(because it scared me! Haha) but it is well worth it!

We attended Memorial day Sunday brunch which 94.7 the Wave hosted a jazz concert with the band Gentlemen of Jazz. The headliner was my friends husband Ner De’leon — the lead saxophone player who has been playing sax since he was 8 years old and has released several cds. The brunch started at 10:00 am and included unlimited mimosas, buffet and each person has a choice of one al la carte entrée from the brunch menu. The selection was plentiful at the buffet including fried shrimp, smoked halibut, California rolls, seared ahi tuna, cheeses, salads, variety of breakfast items, main entrees and a solid selection of desserts. For my main entrée and I chose with the Chilean Sea bass which melted in my mouth. What was great was the live entertainment which began at 11:00 am and continued until 2:00 pm. The band included a vocalist and a special guest appearance from Jesse J a female sax player. The entertainment was top notched and our seats were in a great location for viewing the entertainment and access to the buffet spread. Another pro here is the front lounge patio is smoker friendly, so I could enjoy a cigar & several mimosa between sets of music and brunch. Our waitress was spot on and she was funny and entertaining. You can check online for upcoming jazz concerts and view the seating chart & purchase tickets for upcoming events at: Have a great time I really did!

There is also live music and jazz music. The food was incredible. Cannot wait to go back and try other dishes. Highly recommend!

Great place for Sunday brunch. Live music jazz band and always a lively crowd. Brunch is a bit pricey BUT in addition to an awesome buffet, it comes with a choice of 8 – 9 entrees including sirloin steak and seabass which is what we ordered. Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and presliced on a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes and side of veggies. Seabass was Parmesan crusted and perfectly chewy also on a bed of fluffy mash with zucchini. The wait was an hour but we opted to sit on the patio on w beautiful day and were seated within 5 minutes. Service is great even on the patio — our waitress checked on us all the time and our mimosa and water glasses were never empty. Plenty of parking but valet is also available for $ 6.
