Be Pilates

Be Pilates far exceeded my hopes. I have developed enormous respect for Beth and Christopher’s knowledge and skill in guiding their clients towards achieving our goals of health and well being. Classes are small so there is consistent personal attention to each client, to help us make the most of our efforts. I’m in my early 50’s. I’ve done all kinds of exercise, but when I joined Be a year ago I hadn’t done much in several years, and my body was hurting. My primary goal was to reduce or eliminate pain, and then ultimately gain strength and flexibility. After only a few weeks, my knee and hip pain was gone, and my shoulder/​arm pain significantly reduced. A few weeks later, all pain was GONE. During the summer I missed 8 weeks of classes, and THE PAIN RETURNED! After a few classes back in Beth’s trusty hands, the pain was gone again. Put in the effort to learn correct Pilates practices, and you will feel the results.

Best workout and space for Pilates in Seattle! I have been to a lot of Pilates studios and this place is the best yet! I drive from the east side just to come here at least 2 – 3 times a week! Then, after class right next door is an amazing coffee shop to relax & have some coffee with friends… Just makes the entire experience so worth it! I always leave feeling completely rejuvenated like I just got done at a spa or something!!! Highly recommend this place for Pilates!

I had been curious about Pilates for some time when Be Pilates popped up in my neighborhood. Since I was a beginner I started with the intro series of grounding. I liked it so much I continued with the 2^nd series of breathing. I can’ t say enough about how beneficial it was to start like this, all the foundational things. Today I stand taller, have more flexibility, less neck and shoulder pain, and mentally feel better. Chris our instructor is patient and hands on with instruction and I appreciate his approach in teaching and guidance through the moves. The small staff here is really wonderful to work with. I wonder why I waited so long

I have been working with Beth for a few months after still feeling some aches and pains in my back, shoulder, and neck from a car accident. I was recommended to try Pilates by my physical therapist and it has helped a ton. I have had some prior Pilates experience and then stopped, but working with Beth and taking the group classes at the studio has reminded me how important it is to my daily life. It has transformed the way I walk, sit, and do my job. Beth is gifted at what she does and worth every penny. I plan on keeping Pilates as part of my fitness routine for the rest of my life.

I tried several Pilates studios; looking for one that adhered to Joseph Pilates’ founding principles. Be Pilates teaches Pilates they way it was intended to be taught. With Be Pilates you don’t break a sweat or gasp for air. While learning to breathe properly, you add strength to your core through slow and continuous repetitions that isolate muscles leave you standing taller, walking effortlessly and sitting properly. After nearly three years of weekly sessions, I act, look and feel younger.
