I want to like this place, but it’s really hard to give it a good review and I’m kind of amazed of its current Unilocal rating. First of all, the hours posted are not accurate. I walk by on my way to work pretty much daily, and they are never open at 5. I’ve tried coming here for a drink around 6 and they still weren’t open. Because of the issue with open hours, I’ve only actually gone inside once. The bar was empty, which wasn’t necessarily unexpected on a weekday night. There wasn’t any music playing. The bartender was pretty unfriendly and while he was pretty bro-y, he didn’t make much effort to interact with the only two people in the bar(us) instead of his coworker. Beer-wise, they have a good selection. Really like that you can purchase stuff to take home as well. I don’t ask for much when going to a bar for a drink, but this place has amateur hour written all over it. I’ll give it another chance, simply because I live so close by, but I won’t hold my breath for a great experience. I really don’t like giving a newer place such a negative review, but there’s some potential for this place to be pretty great, and the atmosphere needs a LOT of work.

Awesome bar. Great beer selection, perfect vibe, and Cameron is the fucking man. Definitely coming back next weekend

Definitely my fave drinking hole in the Capitol Hill area — great beer on tap and in bottles in the huge 6-door fridge, and a large space with plenty of tables and seating to hang out with friends pretty much any day of the week! Or, you can always cozy up to the bar and where you can strike up a great conversation with one of the delightful and friendly barkeeps at any time. I personally recommend the Witterkerke, as that’s my fave refreshingly-light full-strength beer, but do not look past the Gulden Draak on tap — it’s an amazing tasting dark beer with a kick to boot(@ ~10% abv I believe)! The framboise is also on tap if you’re after something on the other end of the spectrum — very sweet and easy to drink(if that’s your thing). The bar serves light snacks for when you get a food craving — the cheese with celery salt is frankly quite amazing, and for something nice and warm, ask for a giant pretzel that comes with a whole mustard sauce dip. They also serve Polish sausages if you’re a carnivore: D And while they don’t have a kitchen, they have a menu for you to order in pizza from a nearby restaurant(with free delivery!) All in all, I know I’m pretty much writing this like an ad, but I’m not going to get anything from doing this. I write this because I really really like this pub and want everyone to know about it, find out for themselves why it’s so great, and support this fine new establishment on the hill!

I’ve been walking past this place and seeing the«coming soon» sign for ages, so tonight I was so happy to see they’ve finally opened! My friends and I popped in here to kill some time while we waited for a table at Annapurna. They had a delicious selection of beer, cider, and mead drinks and bottles to go. My friend and I tried 2 different varieties of mead(a bit pricey at $ 7 per tiny glass, but very tasty) and a delightful hard polish sausage. The bartender was cute and friendly, the ambience was nice, and we got a 10% discount for having just made purchases at Phoenix Comic & Games next door. I’ll be back to read a comic and sip cider!

Europob has a great selection of European beers and great deals on Bulgarian Wines which are very yummy. The staff is friendly and it is a nice contrast to some of the typical Cap Hill bar scene

If you’re in the Broadway area and looking for a delicious(European) beer, look no further. EuroPub has a wide array of Belgian and Eastern European beers on tap, a large, convivial space, and extremely friendly bartenders to boot. If you don’t know what you want(to be fair, the tap selection may be overwhelming), don’t hesitate to ask for a recommendation because they’re always on point! I’m a huge fan of the Gulden Draak when I want a strong Belgian, but I usually end my night with the delicious Pilsner that is the Staropramen. There are also always some Belgian IPAs on tap, which are pretty different from PNW IPAs yet still absolutely delicious in their own way. If you’re not a fan of the hoppiness of most local IPAs, you need to jump on this Belgian IPA bandwagon.

This place is my new favourite bar in the area! Just opened on the corner Denny and Broadway, Euro Pub is the perfect mix of quiet ambiance and upbeat Euro-pop music. They always have a ton of imported European beer; from German wits, to Czech pilsners, to Belgian tripels everyone will find some awesome drinks to suit their taste. The prices are super reasonable too!
