Meh. I have been really excited to try Nacho Borracho/Neon Taco for a while and we finally did. I really wanted to love this place! The décor is cool– love all the lights and flags hanging as well as the loteria wallpaper– coupled with the dark colors and handwritten notes everywhere, it felt punkish. But, mostly it felt kinda grimey– like nothing had probably been cleaned in a while(esp. the bathrooms… ick.) We were excited about the frozen drinks too, hoping it would be similar to a beloved frozen beverage place in Denver, but the drinks were just fine– a bit expensive for what they are, but boozy and tasty enough. The bartender had the personality of a soggy coaster, but service is never usually great in Cap Hill. We got some food from Neon Taco, which took almost 30 min even though it really wasn’t that busy. The tacos are *tiny*(esp. For $ 4!), but good– I got a veggie and it had a lot of flavor. I also had the flautas which were fine. My husband had the nachos but didn’t care much for them because they had way too much cojita, but it was a good portion. Overall, decent food and drinks but more expensive than it should be compared to the quality and service you can get elsewhere.

Nacho Borracho is one of my favorite spots on Broadway for some no frills drinks/food. Servers are super friendly, music is always good and their tacos are actually pretty phenomenal by Seattle standards.

Frozen margaritas on tap! What more is there to say? It’s a great ambience for hanging out with friends. They also have a window attached where you can find great Mexican street food. They even have a great brunch!

This is my favorite restaurant/bar in Cap Hill and one of my favorite places in Seattle. The drinks are amazing and the food at Neon Taco(food counter in the back) is delicious. Drinks: I wish they kept the«El Diablo» frozen, but it’s now only available on the rocks. It’s still delicious, but no longer my go-to frozen drink. If you’re looking for a tasty«on the rocks» drink, get the El Diablo. For frozen drinks, my favorite is the Pink Guava Moscow Mule! I can drink endless amounts of these. They’re tasty on a hot day… a rainy day… any day, actually. Food: My favorite taco hands down is the«pork belly» taco. It’s amazing. 5 out of 5 stars. You MUST order at least one of these. I also am a fan of their guac and queso, along with the fresh fried pork rinds. They’re a treat I never had fresh before here, so I always tell people to give them a try. The rest of the food is pretty great, so you can’t go wrong… but if you’re looking for a go-to, the pork belly will never steer you wrong. Music: Different nights of the week they have rotating DJs and it’s one of my favorite bonuses they offer. My favorite is DJ Scratch Master Joe(@1800HotBoyz on IG) and he’s a beast. This place would only be better if they have outdoor seating or cleaner bathrooms, but even without those I am a huge fan and regularly visit. If you have friends in town or are simply looking for a new spot to try out, Nacho Borracho is a clear winner.

I personally love this place. Being from the Southwest, I have very low expectations for Mexican food joints in Seattle(I know that this is a little arrogant and for that, I’m sorry) but I was delighted by the lengua tacos here. They’ve got two happy hours that make the higher end drinks more affordable(specifically the delicious alcoholic slushies) and the tacos are served until 1 or 1:30AM on most nights. The décor is divey and cool. Just the right amount of seedy. Also there’s a photo booth, but if you use it be certain to shut the curtain because I took some photos with my wife, Margaret, for our 36th anniversary celebration and the photos came out so dark that you could hardly see our face tattoos. BEWARNED!

This is definitely a neat place to check out. Came here on a Saturday night and it was a little hard to find a place to sit. It’s a narrow spot with the bar extending to the back, where you’ll find the window to order food. The frozen margaritas are delicious so do yourself a favor and get one. The staff was very nice and the decorations were pretty cool. The night I was there, I was a big fan of the music playing(mostly 80s and 90s). If you’re in the area you should give them a try.

This place is super cute, l love the Mexican decorations especially the loteria wall paper and the music was bumpin. You order your drinks at the bar and there’s a hole in the wall in the back(neon taco) where you can order your tacos, they are a little spendy but they were very good as well. I got the Cueritos tacos made with fresh tortillas and and little chunks of Cueritos(pork rinds). Overall this place was fun if you don’t mind loud music awesome decorations, don’t forget to take you picture in the photo booth that they have in the back. Oh, and the habanero sauce is no fucking joke my mouth and lips were on fire!

The full moon must’ve been to blame for the 30 minute search for nonexistent parking, but the frozen margaritas were worth it! The atmosphere here is fantastic with its many lights and paper flags, graffitied taro cards, Neon Tacos, and a photo booth to boot! Downside was, the photo booth never printed our photos :(luckily, the barkeep reimbursed us, but it was still a bummer!

Love the tartness of the raspberry prickly pear Palomar… it sustained me for 4 hours not too strong not too sweet! Dark and great ambient for hang outs… yet not too loud for some conversation. TV is playing some rad movies

I feel almost guilty providing a review of Nacho Borracho, when in fact the true gem is quite literally a hole in the wall at the end of the bar they named Neon Taco. The chef takes your order, gives you a number, and you are presented wth deliciousness. The menu is creative and I was not disappointed with any of it. However, there was one item that I will be returning for: PORKBELLYTACOS. These were my favorite. All that meaty, greasy, fatty, melty goodness was definitely worth it!

I lived around the corner from Nacho Borracho for one and a half years, and was always very intrigued by the joint. What was with all the red neon lighting?! I didn’t end up walking in until Neon Tacos opened shop inside the bar. Damn, was that a great torta! Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay for drinks on that first visit. Take two: a Friday night. It was Jan 1, 2016, in fact – yay for finding a bar open on New Year’s Day! Our party of 7 walked in around 9pm and grabbed the awkwardly long and skinny table right by the entrance. Excellent for people-watching, I must say. Anyway, once we were settled in our vantage point, we made a beeline for the bar. I got an avocado margarita, which was only okay because it was way more sour than I enjoy. Other drinks at the table included the pink guava Moscow Mule, a concoction with raspberry, prickly pear, and tequila, and a Brandy Alexander. The Brandy Alexander stole the show, no questions asked. What a ridiculously boozy, creamy, delicious take on a boozy, creamy, delicious drink! I’ll definitely be back specifically for this drink, and I’ll make sure I pair it with a torta to boot.

Love the lights and love that they have late night food, but it’s pretty pricey for what you get. $ 5 just for chips and salsa and each street-size taco is $ 3 – 4. The chips and salsa were solid, but the tacos were just okay. We tried the lengua, crispy pork belly, and pork rind. Of the three, crispy pork belly was the best, but I would choose the tacos from Tacos Chukis any day over these(more flavorful and cheaper too!) Tl;dr cool ambience, average food.

Come to this place for happy hour… It will surely be one happy hora! Such a nice ambience to this place, nicely decorated with lights everywhere and piñatas. There’s also a butt, a literal butt in one of the booths! Let’s see if you can spot it ;). Also The little taco spot in the back of the bar!!! YUM! Pork belly tacossss. Who doesn’t love pork belly? Knocked off a star, because this place is basically self service for everything and if you aren’t here at happy hour the prices are pretty steep. Those tacos though !!

First, the drinks are highly overpriced which knocks off one star. $ 15 got us one bloody mary and one frozen margarita. I have a problem paying a premium for a frozen drink that comes out of a big vat turned by a machine. The bar and food are separate entities. Pay at the bar for bar stuff. Pay at the food window in the back for food. Easy enough, yet slightly inconvenient. The husband and I ordered five tacos and at $ 3 each, I again felt as though they were a bit pricey. Perhaps this is because I’m new to Seattle and don’t quite know the standard going rate for fare such as this. I just know that these same tacos in Dallas would have cost $ 2 or less. Were the tacos good? Yes, absolutely. Did two carnitas fill me up? No, certainly not. I could have easily eaten four and I’m not even eating for two nor was I hungover! So, four tacos at $ 3 each would bring a typical food bill for me to $ 12. That’s pricey for the amount of food served. We also ordered the queso and it was delicious and they served the perfect amount of chips for the quantity of queso. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such a perfect ratio, so bravo! I would return to Nacho Borracho but not before I try some of the other Tex-Mex and taco joints in Seattle.

Good spot overall– staff is sweet and attractive, food is great and comes out fairly quickly. They’ve expanded a teeny bit– additional room/booth of seating down the back hall by the restrooms. The photobooth back there works, too, even if the light inside it isn’t on. Don’t forget to have a taco! Neon Tacos is the food window in the back. Great bites to pair with your frozen cocktail.

Take forty bucks and spend it here(two people). Sit in a colorfully decorated bar room filled with tall booth seating. Get happy while you drink margaritas at around 8 dollars each. Don’t fall short from ordering the food, it’s some of the best guacamole, tacos and quesadilas. At least that’s the way my trip here ran. Thumbs up on the beef brisket tacos and the pink guava Moscow mule to drink.

This review is for Neon Tacos, the restaurant inside Nacho Borracho. I ordered 3 tacos, they were towards the pricier side. I got the tomatillo carnitas, marinated beef and another beef taco, forgot which one. The tacos were made with homemade tortillas which is always a bonus for me when it comes to Mexican food. All three meats were very tender and essentially melts in your mouth. Each taco had an individual sauce that was on top and it paired very well with the meats. The portion size for each taco was more towards the generous side. The only thing I wished was that they would use 2 tortillas per taco because due to the sauce and juices of the meats, the tortilla tore apart pretty easily. I enjoyed the atmosphere of Nacho Borracho. They had a DJ playing all the cuts. The people here are friendly too. Another solid experience in my book.
