I was really excited to find this place, considering it was something different and in my hood. We ordered a handful of items to share, such as the Mac n cheese and the pretzels, everything I personally tried was disgusting. I will say I ordered to go, so maybe it’s better hot and fresh, but I also only live across the street. The Mac n cheese had no bread crumbs as the description mentions and had a layer of burnet, hard as a rock cheese on top. The pretzel I am assuming was previously frozen and the cheese sauce was gritty. I definitely would not recommend either item if you decide to give this place a go.

The beef, mushroom and burgundy pie here is amazing. SO good. The pie crust is flaky perfection. Definitely get it with a side of mash… some of the most flavorful mashed potatoes I’ve had. It’s a little bit pricey if you don’t come during happy hour, and service can be slow at times. But you can’t argue with an awesome pie.

Have not been disappointed in three visits. Pies are the perfect size. Decent beer choices. The sausage rolls were six stars out of five the first time, but only five stars the 2nd(too much herb flavor). My finicky vegetarian son loves the Indian Curry pie. Recommend getting the tower. A pie topped with mashed potatoes, gravy, cheese sauce and bacon. A great place for my mixed meat-eating/vegetarian family.

A little pricey but absolutely delicious!!! I love stopping in for a pie and pint. Lots of space, fun music and friendly, yet not invasive service. Happy hour from 4 – 6 with special apps! I love the Spinach Artichoke dip. A fun little gem in Ravenna for sure, tons of space and thus would be great for groups!

The food is unique and tasty, and beer selection has always been pleasing, but the slow slow service is what has kept me from coming back more recently. Very few visits to the table, waiting 10+ minutes to be asked if you’d like another of the empty beer glass sitting in front of you, and on a night with only 4 – 5 tables seated, too.

We got the pretzels and they were pretty tasty, a little less soft than I would hope for. I really love the cheese that comes with them! I got the chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes and gravy for $ 2 to replace the fries. The potatoes were AMAZING and the gravy was very very good! My fiancé got the chicken strips and fries, which were good, and they have good ranch. Overall pretty good, I plan to go back and have a few beers very soon.

Been going here for a few years. This is a great local business with some great pies. I enjoy their classic pies and the variety they have from week to week and season to season. The staff is generally very kind and accomodating, however the service tends to slide when the crowd gets a bit crazy. A go to when I don’t know what to get is always the beef burgundy pie. The savory, tender beef enclosed in a flaky pie crust always gets me. I usually like to overdo it with a side of mac n cheese. I tend to go for the mac of the day because it tends to have a bit more flavor than the plain olé mac and cheese. The price can be a bit much sometimes but it is a great place to frequent every now and then.

Pies & Pints is in my neighborhood so I’ve been coming here for many years now. I agree with other reviewers that it’s definitely become more«hipster» and the size of the pies has dramatically decreased. However, at the end of the day, Pies & Pints still offers really good pub food! The service is slow at times but the servers are friendly and have a ton of personality. As far as food goes, the Welsh Pretzels with beer cheese are my favorite! The pretzels are usually soft and fluffy(although mine were tough and overfried last time I was in) and the cheese has a nice rich flavor. Although the pies are small, they have great flavor and plenty of filling. You can never go wrong with Classic Chicken! I’ve also tried various other items: Mac N Cheese, Parmesan Garlic Fries, Irish Nachos, etc. and have never been disappointed. If you’re craving pub food in Seattle, Pies & Pints should be on your radar. And if you’re looking for a life changing dessert… Jameson Salted Caramel Cheesecake! I’m normally not a salted caramel fan, but this dessert is rich, decadent and most importantly, absolutely delicious!

We went on a Saturday afternoon and the service and pies were stellar. I had the classic chicken and my guy had the bacon mushroom swiss pie. Both were awesome. It’s true the pie is smaller, but it’s still very filling especially with the side item. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is their split pea soup was beyond bland. I mean, wow. If you’re going to make it vegan with no ham or bacon for flavor, then be generous on the salt people.

Great, informative and fast service. The beef n mushroom burgundy pie was incredible the crust flaky and crunchy. My husband got a chicken something or other but mine was so good I forgot to taste his. The pie and side of mash potatoes was more than enough to fill me. Will recommend and happily return!

Came here with maybe seven others for a quick bite before going home. I should’ve ordered the pot pies that they are famous for, but I wasn’t super hungry so I ordered the Poutine. Yuck. Just avoid this menu item. The cheese curds weren’t very melted and the gravy was incredibly bland. Fries were just okay.

Almost a year in, and this place still on my top five places to go in Seattle list. Last time, I had the pie of the day, which was a Lamb Empanada pie. ITWASDELICIOUS. I also had their«Suffering Bastard» beverage. And it was good and boozy and amazing. I will probably always love this place more than most other Seattle establishments. PIESANDPINTS. What’s not to love?! Really?

Don’t eat here. Ever. My friends and I came here on a Friday night expecting big delicious pot pies. This place did not deliver. From the start, the service was slow, taking 10 min to take our order and another 20 min to get our food. When the food did come, everyone was surprised. The«pie» itself was absolutely tiny, about the size of an orange. The fries, the side, took up 90% of the plate’s real estate. We all thought it was a bad joke. Did we come to a restaurant for miniature pies? The namesake pies aren’t even that special, with no real distinct flavor that deserved the price. Avoid this place unless you like to throw your money at a plate of fries. 2 stars cause I left full(from fries) and I didn’t get food poisoning.

Saw that this place was close to my apartment and I felt like getting pies and beers, so here I was! I was here for late night happy hour(after 10PM from M-F), and invited a few friends to come chill with me. This place definitely has a dive bar kind of feel, so it’s a great place to just kick it. They also have a pretty big back area with tables so you can definitely bring a huge group here. Decided to go with the Beef Burgundy Pie and a pint of beer for $ 13. Personally, I thought the pie crust was delicious and flaky, but the inside was a little disappointing. The beef seemed a little overcooked and was hard to chew through. They also have a rotating pie of the day, and the day I went in, it was a pie with bleu cheese, so my friend got that. I didn’t try it since I’m not a huge fan of bleu cheese, but he liked it! Overall, I thought this place was okay, but nothing amazing. $ 13 isn’t too bad for a pie and a pint of beer, but I don’t think it’d be worth it if it wasn’t happy hour. The service was okay, and the food was okay, so there’s really nothing amazing about this place. Like I said, this place is just a chill place to kick it for late night happy hour.

Every time I come here, it’s usually very tasty and this time was no exception. They usually have a good selection of craft brews and ciders on tap, which is always a plus in my book! For dinner, I will usually go with one of the chicken pies, I prefer that to the beef. I haven’t tried a vegetarian pie yet(there are two) but they both sound tasty! This time I got the chicken bacon mushroom Swiss pie. It is the perfect size and very delicious. The crust was flaky and the pie itself was cooked perfectly. There are a couple different options for sides as well. The mashed potatoes are seriously good and you get a very generous portion. I usually will opt for the sweet potato fries. These are by far my favorite and come with a mayonnaise/aioli sauce. The service is usually good(sometimes on the slow side) and the dishes are decently priced. I will definitely be back here again!

What a fun little place that has live music in the evening from unknown bands! We got the classic chicken pie + side of mac & cheese(13 $) and an extra side of sweet potato fries w/aioli sauce(8 $). The truly best part of the pie was the perfection of the crust. As soon as you cut into it, the crust fluffs away to reveal warm and soupy chicken inside. The beautiful soup came together really well with the little pieces of vegetable, though I do wish there was a bit more soup. Side of mac & cheese was delectable as well. The sweet potato fries were on the crispier side, while the aioli sauce didn’t really fit with the fries. Overall though, a nice cozy atmosphere for hearty food and hanging out.

As usual the food valiantly makes up for the questionable service. After waiting the typical ten minutes to be noticed by the server and have our order taken, the kids asked me to play a round of pinball. By the time we returned to our table, our waters had been cleared and another family had taken our seats. When the second server brought menus to our new table and I explained what happened she giggled a bit. Neither server offered an apology. I didn’t make a stink because they are so consistently oblivious to the presence of customers. Food is great, but we’d visit more often if it wasn’t so much like pulling teeth.

Sweet potato fries! With garlic aioli! I could eat that good shit forever. Pies & Pints offers exactly what you would expect. Personal-sized, savory pies and beer. Not much can go wrong with this combination. Although they don’t serve sweet pies, which was something I was sort of hoping they would have. I’ve had quite a few of the pies off the menu, and they are all good! The pie crust is flaky perfection and the fillings are a w e s o m e! One pie with a side of fries is more than enough to fill one person up. And, as mentioned above the sweet potato fries and garlic aioli are like crack. Trivia nights on Tuesdays are also pretty fun. It’s run by GeeksWhoDrink and I like their system of trivia much more than the RAM.

Feeling like a belly full of savory goodness is what you need tonight? Wash it down with a beer and maybe a sweet pie too? Oh yeah, this place will do the trick. It is so awesome to be in a city where you can find exactly what you’re looking for. After coming here I have never gone anywhere else to satisfy my southern need for chicken pot pie!

This is the pub that dreams are made of. Good ol’ fashion American dreams. My friends and I found this place while on vacation by searching«mashed potatoes» in Unilocal. That in itself is an accurate description of the great comfort food here. Their main schtick? Pot pies and mac ‘n’ cheese! For around $ 20 I got a beer and a «pie and a side,» opting for the chicken bacon Swiss pie in a rich marsala gravy with a side of mac ‘n’ cheese. Picking a side with competitors like mashed potatoes and tater tots was by far my biggest challenge. Don’t let the pie’s small size fool you! All that starch is sure to fill you up – FAST. I left arguably the fullest I’ve ever been in my life, and I didn’t care because the food is *that* good. I would come back to this pub all the time if I lived in this glorious state. That being said you MUST save room for dessert because… layered Guinness chocolate cake. That is all.
