I love the«Q». They are a combination Vietnamese/French bakery and a Vietnamese deli. The baking is done on prem, and wonderful things come out of their oven, and are sold here at very, very reasonable prices. The baguettes crispy crusted with airy, delicious insides. They make very good pastries with croissant dough at a fraction of the«French» bakeries. Their fried Vietnamese pastries are very good. I’m addicted to their Banh Teo. As for the deli items, their Banh Mi is our favorite, mainly because they use their great fresh baguettes baked there. The Cha Gio, too is our favorite, even at 65 cents. While most other delis sell them for 50 cents, you can actually see and taste the ground pork, and not just carrots like some of the others.

The bread here is THEBEST. If you need baguettes for anything, sandwiches, snacking, french bread pizza, sopping up delicious broth, you’re in the right place. The fresh bread is cheap! Serve yourself(use the tongs) and bring your purchase to the counter and be amazed at how little you’re spending for the best bread around. They also have a sandwich counter that offers banh mi, some premade snacks in a heated cabinet like egg rolls and wings, a few pastries, a selection of drinks, and some random candies/herbs. This is not why you are here, go for the bread.

It’s ok, lot of meat in the sandwich, but it’s so dry… It would of been good if they mixed the pâté with mayo. The bread is very hard. I would not come back… Needs some salt… So bland… And they don’t toast the bread… :( Service is verrry slow. The flan was nice, but I think their refrigerator needs some power because it was not cold…

–Delicous baked bread used with Vietnamese baguette sandwiches or you can buy seperate. –hot street food type items. Can never go wrong with meatballs on a stick! –it may not be apparent to first timers, but they do serve Phở. — did I mention fresh baked bread?

Still the best Vietnamese bread in the city. I know many restaurants buy from them and sell in their own deli’s…kind of odd. The lady at the cashier doesn’t do change right, she always short changes a bit. Oh well I consider it a tip. The butter bread is mouth watering and I can taste it in my mouth now. I probably should give it a bad review so people don’t go here and I can have all the warm fresh bread to myself…

The french rolls they make in-house are awesome, especially when they are fresh. The sandwiches here are great too!

Probably your Togo Vietnamese baguette place if you’re in the area. The bread smells sooo good that you can’t help but to buy some bread home. They have spring rolls, egg rolls, meat, banh mi, bun thit nuong for $ 5, café sua da, noodle soup, bakery buns & more. $ 5 minimum on credit cards. No minimum on debt card.

The aroma of fresh baked bread is what first hits you here. Most of the Vietnamese bakeries that I’ve been to are really just delis. But this bakery does bake their own bread. Initially I went in to see if they had any pâté chauds and egg rolls and low and behold they had fresh baked bread right out of the oven. The aroma was heavenly. So I ended up getting a bahn mi as well. Who can pass up fresh baked bread? They do offer doughnuts, grilled meats and bubble tea as well. It is next to Viet Wah so the parking can get busy.

Some great breads and sandwiches. The Banh Mi sandwiches are really good, traditional taste and at unbeatable prices. I have to try the unusual sandwiches so ate one with Headcheese and another one with a shrimp Patty. Amazing does do it justice. What was disappointing was the Chicken Steam Bun I had. It left the shop and immediately bit into it. Outside was hot/warm. Inside filling was ice cold. I had to wait to get home to microwave it. It turned out to be OK but the experience was sad.

It’s a Sunday afternoon and you want a Banh Mi sandwich what do you do? If you are in the area you should totally checkout Q Bakery. One of the things you will notice as soon as you walk in is that it is not only clean but there is also a wonderful aroma of fresh baked bread filling your nose and mouth! It is as if you have died and gone to Vietnamese baguette heaven! The woman at the register who took my order was friendly and smiled, although there was a bit of a language barrier. She clearly understood what I wanted and even understood that I did not want any mayonnaise on one sandwich. Considering I bought three different sandwiches I was happy that the order came out perfect even with the language barrier! I also did not have to wait long at all! If you are here at the right time you can actually see staff bringing out warm fresh baked bread and then watch everyone gravitate towards the bread rack. It’s interesting to see people soaking up the warmth and aroma of fresh baked crusty Vietnamese baguette goodness! I suggest you do as I did and buy a few mini loaves to take home with you. It will be the best impulse buy you make today! The bakery also has some other baked goods available and while I was there I watched the people pick the shelves clean! I would say the fresh baked 10″ rolls were the most popular! There were croissants and even meat stuffed pies. They also have some hot food available at the center area behind the counter. This is a place for takeout so it is a good place to stop on your way home of when passing through. — Banh Mi Sandwiches — BBQ pork Veggie with Tofu and Mushrooms Head cheese and pâté Pork roll Grilled pork Teriyaki chicken Meatball Shredded pork skin Shredded chicken — Bubble Tea Flavors — Coconut Durian Pineapple Strawberry Papaya Vanilla Taro Apple Red bean Mango Honeydew Avocado Peach Jackfruit Banana Watermelon Lychee Green bean

Happened into this place while working in the area. I got a grilled pork banh mi and bbq pork banh. So delicious. I’m glad I didn’t go looking for a Subway.

Hands down the best BAHNMI everrrrrrrrrr! This bakery has many different types of Bahn mi with styles of pork, chicken, and beef. The best one is the shredded chicken Bahn mi(obviously an opinion). A WARNING: ASKFORNOJALAPEÑOS! Otherwise you will get a lot of very fresh, very seeded jalapeños. The Bahn mis also contain quickly pickled carrots, beets, and fresh cilantro. Amazinggggggg! They also have other bakery items that are must buys: flan, meatballs, and egg rolls. They also have many other things without labels that someone with a more cultured background may be able to identify! I have made an effort to buy one new thing per visit. Dessert, salty, savory? Who cares! I’m trying it all from Q Bakery. Come check out this gem on MLK and make sure you are in between 7a-7p! Ps– Bahn mi from this bakery make AMAZING hiking/camping sandwiches!!!

Love this place! Their pastries are baked fresh daily! They also bake their baguettes throughout the day! Bubble tea here is good. And the little old lady who works behind the counter is sweet too!

One of the better banh mi spots around! I prefer this place over many of the nearby places that sell them as well! 4stars because The bread is always fresh! One of the best french baguette Taste wise for banh mi, 3 stars for the meat and veggies.

I have bad luck ordering chicken banh mi in any place within this complex on MLK. I’ll explain. But first, I’ll tell you this: In a tiny town in southwest France, my family and I walked into a cute little bakery not far from Lascaux. The bakery had three tiny shelves with 9 different types of pastries. Standing by myself at the counter while the others waited outside. I settled on a palmier(cookie). Mind you, I know how to pronounce ‘palmier’ and didn’t sound like I was describing a poorly executed high-five. The couple stared at me blankly. I’m pointing AT them, saying it at the same time. I’m smiling and looking hopeful. Two minutes in, I’m at an impasse. My husband walks in and I explain my conundrum. In English, he asks me «A palmier?» The woman hands him a palmier. –_– So I told you that story to tell you this one. Basically, remove the France part and insert Q Bakery, and it’s identical. My last trip in the other day was like every other day I order a banh mi there. But they’re $ 3 so I keep coming back for a decent, but not exceptional sandwich. Luckily, there are always nice Caucasian people that somehow speak Vietnamese better than I do that help bridge the communication gap. Aside from this slight annoyance, they have fried shrimp cakes, egg rolls and skewered meat in their hot case in addition to sandwiches. Dry goods, they have other Asian treats like dried cuttlefish, Viet cookies etc. $ 3. I guess I’ll see them again soon…

Love this place! You can smell the delicious fresh baked bread before you even walk inside. I always, always order the #14 banh mi and watch as they make it through the glass window. This is the only place that I get Vietnamese sandwiches because it’s clean, close to home, and decently priced. Docked off 1 star because of language barrier with the staff and I sometimes feel ignored when I walk in.

I go here all the time with my mom to get their freshly toasted banh mi. It’s warm and just the right amount of butter on the top as I like. Their quail(smaller) banh mi reminds me a lot of Vietnam, and how smaller banh mi comes more in handy then the bigger ones. Their bun bo heu is also good! I usually ask to take out the pig foot and blood squares or whatever they’re called. Just cha and tit. I love it. Their maple bars are also delicious!!!

Love their bread. It’s great they are only a minute away from my house. I get the 3 ham combo. Also the egg rolls are the best. And super cheap. Ham bao’s are bomb.
