Great little cocktail bar with a back patio, connected to Revel and serving the full dinner menu. Service was prompt. Prices were reasonable($ 9– $ 12) for a crafted cocktail. The firepit on the back patio was lovely. I recommend the rye and reason as a nice refresher during the summer months.

My thoughts on Quoin is that they serve«carefully crafted cocktails» that taste horrible. I asked the bartender if he had fresh grapefruit juice and he said yes. I then asked him if he could whip up a grapefruit and gin martini and he said yes. I do not know what the hell he whipped up but it did not taste like grapefruit whatsoever. I even because«that customer» who asked him to top off my drink with more grapefruit juice which did not help. I could not stomach my drink so my friend took one for the team and drank it on my behalf. If the bar cannot get a two-ingredient drink correct, then I see no hope in ever returning. The end.

Virginia and I took a whirlwind 36 hour trip to Seattle and had an incredible time. We went to brunch in Fremont and then wandered around and happened to find ourselves in Quoin. I’m sure I asked the bartender his name at least twice for this review, but I spent 34 of those 36 hours drinking, so I can’t recall what it was. I’m sorry handsome, mystery bartender. We were there for happy hour and both ordered ramen. They have a limited amount during brunch, which is an important fact to know, because it turns out I’m the worst person in the world. For some reason, I didn’t like it. I’m sure it was completely me and not the dish. Our fantastic bartender noticed that I wasn’t eating and, without qualm, brought me a new dish that was incredible. He also gave us some suggestions for other places in the area to check out. Furthermore, he tried very hard to convince us to miss our flight that night, which I kind of wish we had done. Overall, great experience, highly recommended.

How do I even describe how amazing the carefully crafted cocktails and food is at this place? I am not the best with words but DAMNITISGOOD!!! The Madame Rue cocktail has had me longing for it since the last time I was there. We got the short rib dumplings and pork belly pancake and I almost died. The flavor is incredible, texture was perfect. I will definitely be going back as often as I can. Will be recommending this place to everyone!

This place is very cool. I knew I wanted to try it based on their style and ambiance. We sat at the bar to take part in happy hour, which had some decent deals going on. Drinks are creative and carefully crafted. I enjoyed watching the bartenders, who really knew their stuff. The food comes from Revel, next door, and had some inventive selections to choose from. We tried the pork sausage burgers for $ 8 during happy hour, and some cabbage on the side. The burgers looked awesome, but didn’t have the juicy flavors I was expecting. Even still, we enjoyed our stop here and I’d go back again.

Everything here was delicious! I ordered the lemongrass beef and cilantro noodle dish and enjoyed it! I really liked the layout of the open air kitchen, as well!

I really love Revel and I thought Quoin would get better, but it has not. The space is what it is, small and there is nothing that can be done about that. The patio is a great spot on a good day. The drinks are what you come for and they are poorly made. They lack balance and care. I think it is time to reinvent the menu.

Damn that Banh Mi Burger is straight FIRE! I’d eat that over a regular burger anyday. It’s tasty and juicy — so much so that you might not even set it back on the plate. Gonna have to try the happy hour ramen next time. Another plus about the bar is that it keeps the quality food of Revel and eliminates the pretentiousness of the restaurant clientele.

For happy hour on a sunny day, you could do much worse than the back deck at Quoin. Good cocktails, not very strong, but very tasty. The scallion pancake is good as well, although I was tempted to call it overpriced. Until they brought the sauces out. The bartender explained what they were, but I immediately forgot the details. Chili sauce, Hoisin?, something very similar to, if not exactly soy sauce. All home made.

SUCH an incredible spot! Next door to Revel, Quoin is owned/operated by the same peeps and offers an awesome happy hour(4 – 6 pm, everyday) that includes discounted drinks(I had their optioned red, YUM) and snacks from across the hall. I went with a group of 4 and we ended up ordering a bunch of things mixing off the happy hour and regular menus to share. My favorites were the pork belly pancakes, short rib dumplings, brussle sprout salad, and the burger(HOLY delicious). Our server(who was tag-teaming as the bartender on staff) was awesome(and the reason we ended up staying in the bar area for dinner rather than move over to the main dining room). He was funny, knowledgeable and had great suggestions of what to order. We parked easily on the street nearby as did our friends. I only wish we had timed our visit better when it wasn’t as rainy so that we could have taken advantage of their fire pit/deck situation. It looks awesome out there!

My friend and I waited for 10 minutes before anyone greeted us and sat us. We sat on the patio which was chilly but fine. We watched as other tables were given favorable service to our own. Our server was very standoffish and cold in greeting us, taking our order and checking back in with us. Being a server myself, I watched our server talking about my friend and I begrudgingly with her coworkers. My friend and I were the only ones of minority descent on the patio that night so perhaps that’s where her attitude came from. My friend has an avocado allergy and was not told, nor did the menu indicate avocado in the dish she ordered so we had to ask for another dish for her. It was not handled very gracefully by our server. I understand we all have our off-days and can be frustrated by our customers, but as servers, its our job to show discretion and to provide the best experience for our guests. Disappointed.

HH best-kept secret ever. Hustle into Quoin to grub on tasty Revel treats available 4−6pm daily: — Pork belly ramen $ 7(10 bowls available): a tad on the salty side with kimchi, but the noodles were on point. Pork belly satisfies my soul — Savory pancakes $ 7 — kimchi pancake was outstanding. Look forward to trying the smoked oyster po’ boy and winter squash/kale versions. — Kalbi burger $ 10(10 available): seriously, yum. Not one bit disappointed Last but not least, tasty craft cocktails for $ 7 – 8, $ 4 local ales on draft(Maritime, Fremont Brewing, Hale’s Ale). Quoin knows their drink. Pleasant, laidback staff. Friendly service.

My new favorite habit to feed my bad habit of having lunch so late you can call it linner is the 4−6pm happy hour ramen. The bar tender, Jesse, is super cool and fun to talk to. The ramen is so perfectly crafted throughout the day and topped with Kim chi that is so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it…

Quoin(pronounced«coin») is a small bar space adjacent, and connected to, Revel. I met up with some girlfriends for happy hour there. Bartender was friendly upon our arrival and made sure to check in on us during our sipping/dining. The space is kind of dark – even on a sunny day, it’s got a dark ambience. You can always go out to their deck in back, though. Oh, and I should mention it’s kind of awkward if you have a jacket and a bigger purse. The central bar/table is not very big, there’s no hooks for your things and the stools are stools, no backs to hang stuff. I’m sure a man thought of this set up, but unfortunately you can’t fit a smart phone, wallet, lip balm, pen, band-aids, and tampons in your sun dress… I ended up ordering a ramen, pancake, and burger to share with my friend. Out of those, the burger was the best bang for your buck. Really good meat, flavored well, and satiating. Ramen was a small serving and had noodles that were clumped together(mine, hopefully yours doesn’t). The vegetarian pancake was interesting(in a good way) with the pea vines, lemon peels, and hazelnut. Oh and I was pleasantly surprised by the side of kimchee. It was a huge serving that came in a cute glass jar. I’m so glad I got to share with my friend and try different items. The pancake, for example, is more of a «share» item than a «eat it by yourself» item. A few bites of this, a few bites of that. That’s how you should do it. Overall it’s an okay place, though I find everything a bit too salty. Always feel like I need to chug water after. or during, for that matter. I’ll have to say though, the food items are unique – not a lot of Korean fusion restaurants around. Three Unilocaly stars!

Unilocal says that they are open until 2 am and the sign on the door says they are open until late. My friend and I went in around 11:30PM on a Saturday night to grab a drink. It looked like things were winding down and the bartender made it apparent that he wasn’t thrilled to have guests joining so late of an hour. We weren’t greeted, had to go up to order our drinks, and felt very rushed. And there were max 10 people there, the majority of whom where the waitstaff from Revel. It’s a great space and I love Revel, so I was pretty disappointed in the service. The drinks were good, but nothing special. The only reason I’m giving Quoin 3 stars is that one of the friendly waitresses from Revel brought over free desserts for her friends and shared some with us.

Positives: Beautiful and relaxing outdoor FIREPIT to lounge around! So romantic sitting outside when it’s sunny out! Delicious small bites to choose from. Negatives: Weak drinks. Ask for extra alcohol because it’s expensive and no one likes weak drinks.

Like others, we had stopped in for a drink before landing at Revel for dinner. There were about a half dozen of us, and the space is pretty small. So just a few of us bellied up to order drinks and take it to the rest of the group. Service wasn’t the greatest and I think I was skipped over a couple of times. It took me so long to get my drinks that everyone else had consumed most of theirs already and were even headed to the table at Revel by the time I was served. Oh, and I was just trying to grab a couple of beers. It sounded better that what I experienced.

First of all, how do you pronounce the name of this place? I can text the name of the location but when I have to call people, I just refer to it as «Revel’s Bar.» Anyway, there was too much alcohol in the simple syrup concoction I got. I was so excited about a refreshing cucumber-y cocktail but was left with nothing else to say but«Oh! That’s cucumber alright!» even though I’m typically that annoying girl who bursts into monologues of praise or groans when enjoying a particularly good drink. The drinks sounded promising for sure but were sub-par at best. Regardless, I loved the intimate feel of the place. Everyone has already mentioned the deck in the back of the bar with a fire pit. It’s quite cute and a cozy place to catch up with friends.

Quoin is quite the hip quaint bar lounge spot for a cocktail. It has a pretty nice list of curated drinks and infused SOJU. Drink of choice is the Paddington(bourbon with hints of orange) since I like the brown stuff. Also, a solid selection of whiskey, scotch, and a handful of beer handles. Quoin is connected to Revel and is designated as the waiting area since the restaurant has one of the biggest buzzes in Seattle. Good drinks, awesome setting, and alleviates the wait. FYI, you can always order off the Revel menu and dine in the bar lounge if you get hungry. interior

Bartender was completely overwhelmed on a sunday night at 630. Now this review could easily have been a 4 or 5 star review, but damn… get this guy some help back there. One person making drinks for both the restaurant Revel and the bar was not working on any level. The dimly light attached stepchild of Revel was bustling on Sunday night but we were able to grab a seat at the bar. We waited, and waited… and then waited some more for the bartender to acknowledge our presence but no success. I finally grabbed a couple of the drink menus from behind the counter for us to look over so we would be ready once someone could take our drink order. The small bar has a nice selection of handmade drinks and 4 rotating beers on tap. When the bartender was finally able to breathe he apologized for the wait. We told him we just wanted a couple of beers and it would be an easy order. He then told us that he loved us, and while love is a strong word for such a budding relationship I understood where it was coming from. The bar is a great idea and extremely handy while waiting to eat at Revel, but once again«Damn…Get the bartender some help!»
