It’s Friendly Joe’s now. Love them, love the coffee.

Nice morning in Sebastopol. These cold mornings make a cup of vanilla latte just that much more enjoyable.

We went here and I was happy to try a new place. However, the whole deal was disappointing: while I was smiling, the lady at the counter looked unhappy, and not the occasional this isn’t my day type, but the I hate working here or possibly more directly the you suck customers look on her face. No idea, but she didn’t make me think highly of her, or the business. Moving on to food: as I’ve not been here before, I didn’t realize there were two menus, so when I ordered my breakfast sandwich and got home, it wasn’t the right one. I wanted the one with veggies, not eggs. Didn’t bother going back because I was comfy at home, but I did call. I asked if they wouldn’t have minded letting me know there were two menus and which one did I want: that would have been appreciated. Before I left the place I also asked if this was the right one. The guy on the phone lied, obviously, and his tone of voice was fake and suggested he didn’t genuinely care. Lol once they hire new friendlier people I might go back. The only thing nice about this place is the menu options, but what’s the use of the people making it are unfriendly and get the order wrong? None

Now known as Friendly Joe’s,(God knows why) they have great coffee if you want to have your morning cup of passive aggression. At first I thought the taller, Caucasian, heavy-set woman was having a bad day, but I soon realized that every-and I mean EVERY– time I order, I get to watch her roll her eyes and act like I’m doing her some sort of disservice by ordering a drink from her business. Oh, and don’t forget the heavy sighing and throwing and slamming stuff around as well. I also watched her snatch the half and half pitcher out of a gentleman’s hand who simply wanted the pitcher filled enough to mix some with his coffee. She then dramatically walked over to the far counter, set down the lid and pitcher disturbingly violently, refilled it, and threw it back on the front counter in front of the man. At this point I’m asking myself, «Is she serious right now?» I am so done. I’ve always given the benefit of the doubt and generous tips to this lady, trying to find the empathy to believe she’s just having a bad day, but keep in mind this has happened EVERYVISIT. Today, it was not unintentional that the tip amount was blank on the merchant copy receipt. If you hate your job so much, find another. Just don’t punish me for patronizing your business. P. S. I work in the Safeway deli, a much more stressful job than making intermittent cups of coffee all day, so I know it is entirely possible to refrain from projecting your extreme displeasure onto people while at work.

GREAT cup of coffee! My friends say I’m a bit of a coffee snob. I like to base my option on the drip coffees offered at cafes. Black. That way nothing messes with the true flavor of the brew. Friendly Joes brews coffee made by Ecuador Coffee Company. I have had Ecuador Coffee before, but this cup is exceptional. Rich, nutty, chocolate, earthy. Perfect. Oh, and at a great price. I’ll try the food next time. PS, couldn’t leave without trying a sandwich. The Wine Country sandwich on whole wheat is the bomb, and VERY affordable.

was in a hurry and needed some quick breakfast and came here. at first it looked like they had a good selection of breakfast sandwiches but unfortunately they don’t have a kitchen so everything is nuked. the bagel i got was bread with a hole in it.

The people who work here are so awesome– but the coffee is just coffee and the food is just your average coffee shop food. I appreciate the folks here alot, but for delicious coffee, I go to Taylor Maid, Hardcore, or Holy Cow.

Looks like they have a new name Friendly Joe’s. So far the best cup of coffee I have found in Sebastopol. Med roast was just about perfect.

A tiny little place, with just few seats available outside, but they have great tea selections and they can make any of them iced. They also have chai, smoothies, etc. Love it!

I love this unique little coffee shop. It’s right on the square in Sebastopol, so on nice days you can take your coffee and go relax in the square or walk around and look at all the unique shops. Most importantly, their coffee kicks ass, and the baristas are funny and personable. Craving a minty mocha as I write this is at 1:30AM…

Convenient caffeine hole in the Sebastopol city center. I can see why many people love this spot — it is a small hole in the wall, very quaint, and on Farmer’s Market days, it is a perfect location to grab a cub, sit outside, and enjoy the sun! Staff is friendly, but service is slow(think food truck) given one person in a small kitchen. And the egg sandwich I ordered was eh-so ordinary.(This isn’t surprising … again it’s rare for the small kitchen concoctions to blow you away.) There is a small outdoor sitting area, and pastries are ordered in from elsewhere. Thumbs up for encouraging patrons to bring their own coffee mug and offering discount!

Gosh! I love this place! The mocha’s are amazing as well as the lattes. Milkshakes there are also a real treat. Josh makes the best latte’s by the way(:

Really delicious coffee! I had the iced minty mocha and loved it! It’s at a great location –right in downtown Sebastopol. The only downside is that there is no place to sit. It’s strictly a grab-and-go type of deal.

Hands down the most consistently best lattes in the county. Former barista so I know the training and retraining it takes to achieve this. Pastries are pretty good but they go fast. The food star is the breakfast burrito panini style. Salsa for breakfast? I know. Weird but great. Right on the plaza so there’s always folks«occupying». Bit of a drag in the rain but even that won’t drive me to Charbucks.

Coffee cart a go-go. Ok, I am so glad we stopped by here before perusing the local Farmer’s market because My friend Joe can be my friend anytime. Nestled just feet away from the plaza in Sebastopol, this cart has my heart. I had a regular cup of joe with a fresh homemade blueberry muffin, conveniently located right beside the counter. there you will find not only muffins, but donuts and pastries, all freshly made. Even the donuts were warm and fresh and the cardamom muffin was absolutely to die for. Scrumptious, delightful coffee and delectables served here! The service was humble(the guy who rang us up was super grateful we ordered from them as the Farmer’s Market had coffee carts set up and were booming, which gave me the idea My Friend Joe might have the 2nd hand Farmer’s Market customers.) We were happy to oblige them to say the least.

Another great place to pick up my Spicy Mocha, I don’t even have to go all the way out to Andy’s with this place being right in the square. Adorable kid working in the shop, when I came in to grab my mocha and inquire about the magnets that they sell. He made the spicy mocha perfectly, was prompt and really knowledgable about all the little knicknacky stuff that they sell. I don’t drink a lot of coffee drinks that aren’t pure black coffee, but their spicy mocha is a winner every time.
