Was a nice shop, but closed down in April or May of 2008.

This is a shi-shi foo-foo paradise! I love it! My favorite bonbon is the passsionfruit, which is not always available. Oh la. The chocolates are handmade and so are created in small batches. Mmmm and the pastries and other tidbits are scrum-diddly-umptious as well. Oh yes, it is expensive, but that is besides the point. It is as lovely as a trip to a fine Parisian Chocolatier and that wouldn’t be cheap either. Besides it is much closer. Better than See’s. Better than Godiva. I must be careful the Chocolate Gods don’t strike me down for such insolence, but it is true!!! There is also an afternoon tea which I am dying to try.

the hazelnut chocolate truffle was onebite in heaven. My DH liked his vanilla gelato. I thought $ 4 for a cupcake was ridiculous. I’ve paid $ 3 cupcakes that was way better than theirs. I thought the place was too high brow.

A beautiful little French chocolate café with overstuffed brocade chairs to sit in, eating desserts made in house, gelatos, coffees, teas and special 3 chocolate hot chocolates. I had the spiced French hot chocolate shot with three dark chocolates, infused with ginger, orange and vanilla, excellent. $ 1.50. Also ordered a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting. Cake was moist and light. Frosting was a little too sweet. Street parking. Across the street from Milk & Honey,

Nicely decorated with a bird theme. We only tried the iced mocha. It was good, chocolatey, not too sweet, but not that spectacular. It was served in some cheapy waxed paper soft drink cup; that took away some of the enjoyment.

Just thinking about the lavender honey and raspberry rose and carmelized banana truffles makes my mouth water. And the chocolates are as beautiful as they are tasty.(Don’t worry, there are plain ones as well as the unusual.) Their hot chocolate is amazing, too, although the spicy chocolate isn’t a patch on MarieBelle’s Aztec hot chocolate. Get a cup of the amazing mocha latte and wander into the adjoining Antique Society.
