This place is the best!!! They’re coffee is phenomenal and the atmosphere encapsulates everything I love about Sebastopol; chill, community, local, good music and simple livin’! Cheers to the best coffee I know! P. s. Expect an experience on SEB time.

I took one star for location. What it lacks in ambiance makes up for that in serious flavor. The crew knows their«Joe», haha. Love it and want a cuppa right now.

Seriously good coffee. My cappuccino was in your face strong without a hint of bitterness– and the foam was dreamy creamy. Prices are very reasonable and the(true) baristas are super friendly. Highly recommend!

The owner contacted me and assured me that his baristas would resume the high quality techniques that I first appreciated, and sure enough they have. I appreciate this level of conscientiousness and am now a happy customer again.

The concept of a hidden neighborhood gem is completely defined by Ninja Star Coffee Bar. This cute little coffee bar is hidden in a South Sebastopol shopping center and could easily be missed. I was lucky to find it and try it out. Boy was I impressed!!! To say that I absolutely adore this coffee shop, is an understatement. Everything about this shop is top notch. First, they roast their own coffee/espresso beans! Melody Coffee… yummmm. Second, the shop is locally owned by a great guy named Doug… and I just love supporting local businesses. Third, their coffee bean brand is all the rave. It is available at several spots around Sonoma County and even Whole Foods is selling it! Fourth, the quaint coffee shop is beautifully maintained. Fifth, the employed baristas are actually trained baristas… imagine that! They take their craft very seriously and will make you a fantastic coffee drink of your choosing. I can easily place Ninja Star in the upper echelon of espresso bars for Sonoma County(and of most places I have been). I rank them right alongside my other Northern California favorites: Flying Goat in Santa Rosa and Ritual Coffee in Napa. In other words, the best of the best. Sixth, they have nice pastries available which are also made from a local bakery. FUNFACT… and especially fun for me! They have several milk alternatives and they will even blend two if the idea strikes your fancy. I tried a combo of hemp milk and almond milk on my last visit. Yummmmmm. FUNFACT… Ninja Star baristas know how to make any request. I asked for a Flat White(a traditional drink in Europe and England) and they made it perfectly. I recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great espresso drink while driving through Sebastopol, anything looking to buy great fresh roasted top quality beans, and anyone looking to buy a neat gift and support a local business. Bravo. #melodycoffee #ninjastar

Unfortunately not happy at all with this coffee bar. The coffee is not hot at all. If you forget to change the settings from carafe to mug there is no safety mechanism for over spills. It does not brew a full pot of coffee. As much as I wanted to like this product I just couldn’t. I will stick with Keurig.

As close to the wonderful individually prepared coffee one enjoys in Japan. Ninjas know!

This is my third visit to this coffee oasis and it’s within about 200 feet of a Starbucks. Coffee is why you are here and you get a choice of small batch roasted pour over coffees for about $ 3. Why bother with Starbucks when you can have your pour over coffee made by a ninja. This place rocks and the people working there know their stuff; you are in good hands.

I stop here every time I am in Sebastopol. A fantastic cup of coffee and I am an addict. They are local and deserve the business.

A very legit coffee bar in the heart of Sebastopol serving up locally roasted coffee by Melody Coffee Roasting based in Healdsburg. The baristas made us a couple of pour overs via metal filtered Chemex and both(a SO natural process Ethiopian and holiday espresso blend) were damn good especially at just $ 3 each. The place itself is tiny, so this is definitely a grab-and-go spot for caffeination.

Great coffee, great people. Don’t even understand why people would pick the Starbucks next to Ninja for their coffee. They make quality coffee that is a million times better! They also have a delicious little selection of pastries when you’re feeling like a treat. Went here everyday I was in the Sebastopol area.

Cute, very small but with some nice outdoor tables. Pastries seem minimal but good coffee. Go here instead of Starbucks nearby!

If you’re looking for consistent, high-quality boutique coffee, this is the Sebastopol spot. The Melody Coffee roasting is spot on the baristas know what they’re doing. Reliably delicious espresso. The shop is on the small side, so don’t expect to spend a long time sitting inside but they’re is almost always room for outside seating under umbrellas in the beautiful West County sunshine.

The Zooey deschannel look-a-like isn’t here today. Her trademark drink is spill your pour over coffee onto her hand and says, ouch as if it’s an autonomic response that she endures on a coffee on demand basis. They have a nice Parklet surrounded by plants that require minimal irrigation. Coffee is good, a few varietals and the steam milk is good quality

Ninja Star Coffee is for coffee lovers. The place is small, but has covered seating areas outside. They have coffee’s from around the world. They do pour overs and when you get a Latte it has a fancy design on top. I also was offered to sample their gluten free coffee cake, which was great & helped me not to get the huge delicious bear claw. I ended up getting Latte’s both times I was there, which were so good I felt I might rise up join hands with the other coffee customers and fly around the world. I did buy a cool black Ninja Coffee T-shirt & some beans from Chiapas. They have very descriptive words to describe each type of coffee. The front counter had big glass carafes lined up for pours. The service was great. The place is outstanding!

Tiny pour over coffee shop(one of only two shops town which do pour over). Friendly baristas who know their beans, and they offer good selection of Melody Coffee(a co-owned venture) locally roasted beans. I especially dig their lighter/brighter/fruity varietals coming from east Africa. Small patio outside. Li’l less expensive and more funky than the«other» pour over guys.

I am in love with this place! It’s actually been here for 3 years… but it’s kind of hidden and next door to Starbucks which you can see from a mile away. I can’t stress how delicious this place is! Organic, gluten free options for the yummy scones, locally made breads(banana nut was my favorite), a really cute patio that’s nestled in the privacy of a bamboo forest! The poor over coffee is to die for… or to LIVE for more like! I also happen to love their vanilla latte with organic milk… oh yes! My mother’s day is complete now! And it helps give me the extra oomph for all our festivities! Thank you ninja star! Ps free ninja star stickers! My son LOVES this place and he is 5! So, kid friendly! Everyone friendly! :)
