We always order the lobster appetizer, magnificent. It reminds me of home back on long island sound. Great ambiance and always a treat we enjoy regularly.

I went to Heartline Café because I received a coupon during a timeshare update. After reading some negative reviews AND the even more negative responses to them from the owner I had some concerns. I kind of expected the Soup Nazi to greet me. But I had a great experience and our waiter, Esther, was fantastic. My recommendation to the owner… chill out and take whatever negative review you get as a chance to improve your service; not as a chance to engage in a pissing match. And give Esther a raise; because of her I’ll likely return next trip.

Had the local trout & it melts in your mouth. Others in our party had the lamb, steak, & mahi & raved about all of them. Our server was Brandon, he was excellent! Was surprised by my BIL with a poached pear wrapped in puff pastry with cinnamon ice cream, that was amazing. If we lived here this would be on our favorites list.

Phyllis and the Heartline Café cancelled our wedding reception dinner in their Fireside room 8 weeks out from our wedding date via an email(see below). We have sense had the most amazing wedding in Phoenix. My husband and I believe we were never meant to have a Sedona wedding after working with the most thoughtful and kind vendors in Phoenix for our special day. We were truly blessed to have so many vendors, family, and friends support us in planning an entire new wedding in such a short amount of time. With that said, it was a very difficult 8 weeks and no bride and groom should have to face the situation we were placed in by the Heartline Café. Phyllis never emailed us our contract and refuses to say we ever had one. My husband signed it after Phyllis filled it in during our initial meeting. We also paid our deposit after it was signed. Here is the email we received 8 weeks before our wedding: «Greetings Nick & Mary, Thank you for reaching out… as you may or may not be aware, we book multiple catering events on the same day. We were just informed that one of our caterings party we have booked grew in size and therefore had to make some changes here onsite… as a result of these changes the party that means our Fireside Room will no longer be available to you. I’m sorry to inform you of this news. The other two caterings took precedent because they booked with us before you. We will refund your deposit unless you are able to secure another venue and in that case we can still cater your event, it just cannot occur here onsite at the Heartline Café. Please let Phyllis or I know if you have any questions. Sincerely, Becky Lane»

So we arrive at the restaurant and are seated next to a large table of loud drunk old people ruining the ambiance of the patio. Order the hummus plate, which was lumpy and watery. It looked more like chickpea vomit than hummus. Order the one vegan dish on the menu, and half way through the«burnt flat bread and unpitted olive plate» the staff tells us they are out of the balsamic portabella. But we can get the gnocchi with olive oil. Which is disappointing, had we know prior to getting the appetizer we could have left and went to Picazzo’s for way better vegan pasta. The pasta here wasn’t bad, it just isn’t what we came for, and was subpar to other pasta places. Then when the dish arrived the waitress stuck a piece of bread in the oil and shoved it in my face to prove it was EVO. Don’t try to feed your patrons with your hands… So then very clearly unhappy and ready to leave, a staff member walks over to our table while my wife was away. And says«is that your wife? You could smile and at least pretend to like seeing her happy» So in short the food was overpriced and gross. Staff was crazy.

Visiting Sedona from the East and went here for a fantastic dinner. Amanda is the best server — fun and down to earth! The food was delicious. Rack of Lamb, tuna and filet mignon. Even the side salad was fresh greens, crainsins and almonds. The cocktail — lavendar ginger side car was perfect. There is a beautiful patio when weather cooperates. Enjoy a great meal here

We had an excellent dinner at Heartline Café this evening. Our server was Amanda and she was attentive, friendly and genuine. This food was delicious. We ordered a bottle of local Arizona wine from the wine list and it was a very nice compliment to the meal. We liked the nice touches of the décor which include tablecloths and napkins. Overall, couldn’t have been a better place to spend a Mother’s Day dinner.

We recently had our wedding reception at the Fireside room, that is operated by Heartline Café, we also had our wedding catered by them. We were originally introduced to the café by Andrea, the owner of Cake Couture, the wonderful lady who made our delicious cake. She highly recommended Phyllis and her food. We live in Phoenix and only had a couple of days to go up to Sedona, to get things planned out. We were very happy with the way Phyllis conducted the food tasting and with how good the food was. After looking at Los Abrigados and Tlaquepaque, we decided to go with Heartline Café and the Fireside room. The setting was a lot more intimate and perfect for smaller weddings. We had 35 guests and it was perfect. We were able to decorate the room, and had the option to select linens as well. We were also able to bring our own liquor, which saved us a lot of money. The food was delicious, the service was great and Phyllis was very professional and prompt. Overall a great experience, would highly recommend the Heartline Café and their catering to anyone.

I LOVE heartline café!!! It’s a special restaurant for us, as it’s where we held our wedding reception(along with baby shower and anniversary dinners!). There are so many mass produced chain restaurants nowadays, and heartline is the exact opposite. The ingredients are always fresh, and the food is so delicious. The ambiance is nice, but most importantly, warm and inviting. The details of this restaurant definitely make it, from the eclectic dinner ware to the well thought out ingredients and flavors of each dish. The staff is always warm and welcoming. We will be returning for many years to come!

I split the Mexican Benedict and Southwest Wrap with a friend. Fresh-squeezed orange juice was delicious! Both entrees came out of the kitchen piping hot. The benedict was TODIEFOR — spicy chorizo, perfectly poached eggs, but the«gordita» was just a fried corn tortilla, not a true gordita. Regardless, it tasted amazing and the chipotle cream sauce on top was fantastic. The Southwest wrap was packed with delicious veggies and eggs, and was a big hit for us, too! The benedict came with fried potatoes, which could have been cooked just a couple of minutes longer, but they were still good. The fruit was mostly melon and pineapple — fresh and a good size bowl. Service was alright — nothing great, nothing terrible. The atmosphere is old and dingy, but the food was incredible enough to bring me back again and again!

Management’s snarky reply to my Trip Advisor review gave me the motivation to come here and review them again, taking away a star because besides the bad food they are a bit surly as well(and bad at math, go ahead and look at the Trip Advisor review.) Here’s a tip: you don’t want bad reviews don’t cook your fish until it is the consistency of sand. To be fair the dinner salads were good and the goat cheese appetizer was fine.

Must go! If you’re in Sedona, you have to stop & eat at the Heartline Café! The food and customer service is the best! The outside area is gorgeous with great ambiance. They provide blankets on chilly nights — nice touch! I’ll be back!

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast while on vacation. I picked this place because of the reviews/pictures on Unilocal. We were seated and ordered when there was a commotion with an angry customer/maybe former employee. It made the whole atmosphere tense. The our food came. The pancakes were cold. The sausage and potatoes tasted like they were a few days old. We decided to take off and the waitress/manager was totally shocked. Walking on egg shells and sub par food wasn’t worth the price they were asking. Stick with Wildflower Bread Company for breakfast. First of all I asked if it was ok to have my own coffee, second of all you obviously have zero class because of the trend that we keep seeing in the complaints. We took a bite of each item and realized it was terrible and yes cold. That is on you and your restaurant. There is obviously not a high priority on customer satisfaction, as you come on Unilocal and negate every claim of dissatisfaction. You can reply back but we will not be checking this again. I suggest you spend more time on your customer service and food quality before biting off people’s heads.

Went here today and we were delighted by the place. The perfect patio with all its color was made even better by the young lady who waited on us! But, the food was perfect as well. My wife had the lemon cream stuffed French toast which she said«was to die for» and I had eggs with blackened salmon and herbed crème cheese on a wonderful flatbread, simply amazing!

After we were treated so badly at the bar at Auberge of Sedona, we ended up with getting here to have dinner which was so awesome. Wonderful service and great food. We loved it. The staff at the auberge of sedona bar should learn how people work here and how people enjoy eating here. We had the trout and butternut gnocchi and both tasted so good.

I stopped by to have breakfast. I wanted a two egg their traditional breakfast. I had to choose between toast or potatoes. I found that strange. At most places you get a choice of what kind of potatoes and toast. A little pricey for minus the side. And on a side note the service was polite but not attentive. Poor service. Food was prepared good. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Quiet! Don’t think I will be back. Overall lacking. Blame it on service. Now a few a days later the owner sent me a nasty response saying I compared it to «greasy spoons». I said other places. And I feel my review was not rude or offensive. I said the service was not great. For how lovely the atmosphere it had. It is upscale but poor service. His rude aggressive response was in appropriate. Thank yo Mike for helping me remembering my experience and editing this review.
