We got the Green Goddess salad, Mediterranean Wrap and Mushroom Fantasy. The food was ok. Probably because I am not a huge vegetarian fan. We came here because we had a really picky vegetarian in our group. The server was very helpful in that respect, since she spent a long time with us trying to find something that did not contain garlic and onion in the menu. We finally decided on the Green Goddess salad without the herb paté and a different dressing, but unfortunately, the dish fell rather flat because of the changes. Still, kudos to the servers for their help!

Incredible. So delicious and everything is done so responsibly. We had some questions about the food and David talked with us for at least 10 minutes to share what he knows. Delicious real food!

I want to sit on the patio FOOORREVER and just zen out. A light breeze, bubbling fountain, and beautiful mountains surround this small café/restaurant/health store. It’s a total organic oasis in this desert state. What can you find here? Nibbles? Yep! They got that. Plenty of house-made lemonades and teas to quench your thirst. Even wines and cocktails. There’s just about everything here. I was really in love with the Ginger Lemonade, sweetened with local honey. Absolutely delightful!

Randomly stumbled upon this Organic Oasis. It is offbeat, earthy and file with healthy minds and loving hearts. They support local growers, 100% organic, no grain, no gluten, no GMO and Vegetarian. This place is one of a kind, it feels like a tiny hippie oasis buried in trees, flowers and hammocks. The food was shockingly filling! The ingredients complete quality and our favorite part of the place was the Upliftment Shots and Fresh Ginger Lemonades! The one and only regret we have is not partaking in the CHOCOLATES! Inside their store they sell homemade chocolates that consist of honey bee, matcha, goji berries — pretty much anything you can imagine. They look delicious and like little pieces of art. Next time we will be making some gift packs filled with assortments of these great goodies.

Had high hopes. I’ve was vegan for over 15 years and have had the pleasure of eating at amazing veg places all over the country. ChocolaTree came highly recommended. Unfortunately…unfriendly, pretentious staff, order mix ups, and slow as cold molasses service. Food was wildly unpleasant. Had Saag Paneer and it was a pile of soggy spinach on a pile of even soggier rice. No flavor and of course, no salt on the tables. Rest of my family had similar experience. None of us ate more than a few bites of our food. They did not bring us a bill or come to check up with us even once, had to go find a staff member so that we could pay(even that took 10 minutes). There is wonderful vegan food to be had all over the US, don’t waste your time with this place.

The best find in Sedona! I express my sincere gratitude for this outstanding restaurant and garden that nourished me and my daughter so divinely during our stay in Sedona. From the green goddess salad to the carrot ginger soup to the chia crackers to the 8 immortals shot and excellently priced raw chocolate treats, it was all wonderful! And the drumroll for the winning item: the ginger lemonade!!!

So this was a mixed-bag experience… The hostess was wonderful – very warm and kind. Our waitress was abrupt and unpleasant. The setting is beautiful. Unfortunately, this particular Friday morning they were doing some landscaping so there was a guy with a wheelbarrow shocking rock and another with a leaf blower… So it was not a relaxing or peaceful time, although I can imagine how it would be at some other time. We came here for breakfast to get their quiche. It sounds awesome. Unfortunately, when we got to place our order at about 9:30AM, we were told the quiche wouldn’t be ready for an hour. Really?! You’re open for breakfast, right? We ordered the superfood porridge and it was pretty good, but just warm. I would have preferred it to be hot. It comes in a big bowl, so it was room temperature by the time I was done. Beyond that, the waitress didn’t seem want to come back to check on us or bring us our check. I don’t think we are crunchy enough for her… So we probably won’t be back. Too bad. We have a home here in Sedona so we love to find great and special places. There are lots here and we will continue to visit those. As we were hoping to get a check, an older gentleman stopped by our table to ask about our meal. And, we shared some of this experience with him. He took the porridge off our bill. The waitress brought the bill and seemed even less happy, so it wasn’t a happy ending even then.

A true sanctuary, crafted with love, thought, and care, from all the little details of the environment inside and outside the establishment, to each food item on the menu, to the service and positive attitude of the staff. Highly recommended, will definitely return.

I’m not a vegetarian so I don’t know what good vegetarian food is. But I can say that this food is really good. So good that I want to go back for more! I was worried that it wouldn’t fill me up but it did. Service is awesome. My last night in Sedona, I went in at 8:55pm. Mind you, they close at 9pm. But they let us order, as long as it was before 9. And they were gracious enough to let us eat there without rushing us out. Now that is service. Sitting outside in the garden is very nice. In the evening it feels a bit like a dream. The inside is very quaint. Besides being a restaurant, they sell chocolate goodies and snacks. I wish I had time to try them all. I will be back!

Unless you are really into strange tasting foods, stay away. My wife and I are both vegetarians, in fact she is vegan. That’s why we came to this place for dinner. The menu descriptions sounded interesting and good. While the food is organic and fresh and made right there, it’s very strange tasting combinations of food. Strange flavors. Maybe you can get used to it but this was not a pleasant experience, taste wise. Other aspects of the visit were great. The service was great. The ambiance was great. There was live folk music playing that was actually quite good. We decided to try their home made chocolates which run $ 2 – 5 a piece. They make the chocolate from cocoa beans themselves, grinding up the beans, etc. The final product is actually quite good, but I wouldn’t repeat the experience for those kind of prices.

My new favorite place for lunch! This place is great for so many reasons!!! Best vegan food I’ve ever enjoyed! My husband had the green goddess salad and steamed veggies with Thai sauce and I had the Homemade bean burger with avocado and fresh pickled cabbage on ancient seed bread. We went back on the second day of our trip but I forgot what the lunch items were so I will just post pics. Mine was a wrap and hubbies was a salad. EXCELLENT vegan desserts too! I wish I could give this place more stars!!! The atmosphere was so laid back. Lots of outdoor seating that is extremely casual, calming and comfortable!

Looking for a great place to eat/nap after a long hike at Sedona? Well, this place is the solution. My friends and I opted to dine outside the patio area. All the wooden benches were cushioned with pillows. The entire area was well shaded with trees. Wind chimes were blowing in the background. A hammock was gently swaying — perfect for a siesta. Close your eyes, and you can hear the soft, pitter-pattering of water from the little outdoor fountain. It’s a great place to chill, read a book, and even meditate, especially after a food coma. I felt really relaxed in this peaceful ambience. We started out with the sampler platter for 2, which was perfect for 3 petite girls to share. I really enjoyed the chia crackers and nori nachos that had a crunchy texture with every bite. The platter also consisted of delicious humus, pico de gallo, guac, fresh cucumbers, and onion flat bread. I had the avocado herb sandwich. It was essentially two onion flat breads with sliced avocado, onions, sprouts, lettuce, and tomatoes sandwiched between. If you shy away from the likes of healthy, then this sandwich is not for you. The sandwich didn’t have any surprises, and tasted just the way it looked. I wished there was a little more flavor to take it to the next level. However, it was jammed packed with fiber that my body needs. To stay hydrated, I had the ginger lemonade. I highly recommend getting this yummy mixture of lemon, ginger, and honey served with ice in a cute glass bottle. The water was served without any ice. I should have requested some ice as I was so parched from being outdoors. For desserts, we had the raw double chocolate ganache pie that was the star of the show — worth the calories. The serving size was big enough to share with others. They also sell chocolate treats at the front that were on the pricey side. Each chocolate piece was around $ 2 – 4, yet they were uniquely designed. For example, the caramel macchiato was shaped in a crown. I would personally try the iconic piece called the nutty Buddha, which is a Buddha shaped chocolate made out of honey & almond/pecan. The service was on the slow side. We had to wave down the server to take our order and bring out the bill. Overall, I would definitely return when I’m in town.

SERVICE… Was not great at all. Took ages for them to come get our order, clear the plates etc. The waitresses didn’t look very friendly. There should be a waitress who constantly looks out to see if anyone needs attending to. But this was not the case here. We had to go up to ask for various things at various points of time. FOOD… Was mediocre. I’ve had better vegetarian food. We ordered the Sedona Wrap and the Avocado Wrap. Both of which were alright. The Sedona Wrap was lacking in flavour and a bit bland although it was certainly a hearty meal and decently portioned. The Avocado Wrap had too much sprouts and too little avocado compared to the sprouts. It was kinda plain — just tomato, avo and some spread. I did like the nut bread though. That was pretty good. ENVIRONMENT… Had a typically hippie vegan feel with airy drawings and eclectically dressed waitresses. SHOP… I did like the shop though. It had a lot of stuff I had never seen before.

My friends and I decided to eat here for lunch post our hike. This place is very relaxing, an experience that needs to be relished, unfortunately we were really starving so found the slow service a bit annoying. But, they are definitely in no rush to get you out which is nice. Seating options are indoors, the outdoors garden which has the hammocks and small fountains, and the outdoor patio with a giant Buddha statue. I would recommend sitting outdoors if weather permitting. Food: We got the Sampler for 2 which comes with hummus, guacamole and fresh salsa, all great flavors with different type of organic chips like noori chips, etc. It was actually plenty for three of us, definitely recommended. The ginger lemonade was interesting, worth trying once, not sure if I would get it again. I got the Mediterranean wrap which has the potential to be good but, fell short on flavor for me. Even though I am a vegetarian, the food here is very different, a little on the bland side but its definitely VERY healthy, «clean» eating which takes some getting used to. However, after our hike I did not mind this style of food. For dessert, we got the chocolate ganache cake which was served with coconut cream. It was definitely very chocolate-rich and is not on the overly sweet side so not as calorie rich. They sell a variety of hand-made chocolates by the entrance which are on the pricey end($ 2.44 each) considering the tiny size. I got the pistachio, saffron and the honey bee which were all really good but I think a bit too expensive. They also have a mini store indoors and sell several items like incense sticks, candles, soaps, etc. Quirk: They don’t serve their water with ice but the ginger lemonade we got was served with ice so if you want ice water, ask for it. I think this place is a definite must on the list of places to try in Sedona, I would recommend them for breakfast or lunch over dinner. Breakfast menu is served till 11am which looks more promising.

After a long hike to the devil’s bridge, my girlfriends and I ended up at chocolatree for a late lunch. I had my very first vegan meal in my life here and it was great! I ordered the Sedona 2012 wrap and it was really flavorful compared to what my friends ordered(Mediterranean wrap and avocado sandwich). I liked it a lot cuz it was packed with flavors and textures. It wasn’t just one plain taste. It’s spicy and what normal food should taste like. I highly recommend the Sedona wrap as well as the sampler. Oh and don’t forget to order the ginger lemonade! It’s really good! You won’t regret it. The only downside about this place is the service… It’s kinda slow but the servers are attentive for sure. It is a very zen place, overall, I loved it!

I think I might be slightly obsessed with ChocolaTree. I ate here twice during my most recent trip to Sedona and I only wish my trip was longer so that I could have come back here a third or fourth time! First off, I love that just about everything on their menu is gluten-free and either vegan or vegetarian. I also love that they offer half portions of their entrees, because that meant I could get two of their entrees without over-stuffing myself, although even the half portions were pretty huge! I got the Three-Bean Chili(which comes with guacamole!) and the Elote Bliss Corn Chowder, the latter of which was satisfyingly creamy and just the right amount of sweet from the corn — didn’t at all taste vegan! I also got an order of the Nori Chips which were topped with nutritional yeast and dehydrated to make a very crunchy chip. And then I came back specifically for breakfast, and not only was it warm enough to sit outside in their garden, I took advantage of the opportunity to have a vegan & gluten-free waffle because I so rarely get to have waffles. I got it the Classic Waffle which came with a scoop of macadamia nut butter(intriguing!) and maple syrup. Delicious and very filling — I didn’t need anything else! The other time that I came here, I got the Blueberry Blue Corn Muffin, which was fluffy and oh-so-tasty! It is a very relaxing environment whether you sit inside or outside. Service is a little on the slower side, but you can’t rush good, wholesome food like this, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Service was extremely slow for not being busy. I ordered a mushroom dish and it was not satisfying. It was a little on the bland side but not bad, just wasn’t hearty enough to fill me up. Hubby ordered the Sedona wrap which was descent. Desserts were pretty pricey. We ended up getting 2 donuts at $ 4 a piece. Chai tea was bland. For all the positive reviews and the price I was expecting better quality of food and service. It was disappointing. We paid $ 50 not including the tip for 2 meals and drinks that didn’t fill us up!

On a day trip to Sedona, found Chocola Tree online and the menu sounded fabulous! We were not disappointed with our selections of the 2012 Sedona Wrap,(which was like a wet enchilada) very flavorful, but had to order it without honey mustard, as we’re(boyfriend and I) vegan. Also had the paneer, which was amazing. Great flavor and filling without being heavy. The chai tea and coffee were also very warming and tasty. Our server was working the patio alone and pretty busy. He did a good job with keeping up. We enjoyed the scenery while we waited. I loved the section in the back of the menu, which lists the ingredients. Everything seemed vegan with the addition of ghee in some items and honey in almost everything. Choosing a dessert to go was troublesome, because of all of the honey. I asked an employee if the tiramisu was vegan, and was told it was. I was given a tiramisu that was packaged with the ingredients and the ingredient listing included honey. I guess the employee was confused as to what veganism means. Still, very satisfied with our experience and would visit again if in the area!

Love this place! Very much in keeping with a yogic/Ayurvedic diet. Really happy to have found it while visiting on vacation. If you’re accustomed to a vegetarian/vegan and gluten free diet, you’ll immediately love the food. If you’re not, it may be different than what you’re used to, but the flavors are phenomenal. Give it a chance. Had the ginger lemonade(perfect on a hot day) and spiced chai(lightly spiced, I like it a bit spicier, but still nice) to drink. To eat, the elote soup(an incredible corn chowder) and the palak uppadam(I think that’s what it’s called. An Indian spiced pancake stuffed with spinach). Came with a great curry spread on the side. For dessert, a raw chocolate ganache pie. Not too heavy, really good. Funky atmosphere, in a good way. Outdoor patio and good service. I’ll be back many times!

Go to their website. This place sounds so impressive. We’re here now … and we’re impressed! Organic, grain free, no gluten, no GMO’s. Seeds, legumes soaked in artisan spring water. Cooks with coconut oil … on and on. We ordered the live spring rolls with shredded carrots and cabbage, clover sprouts, mint and basil wrapped in a curry almond Thai sauce. Sampler platter is veggie tahini hummus, pico de gallo and guacamole with dippers of live(fermented) onion flatbread, chia crackers, nori nachos and fresh cucumber. Papa’s potato soup with Yukon Gold potatos, celery, carrots, onion, black peppercorns and garlic. Sounds so good! Oh, and a sprouted live chocolate chip, ginger and lemon cookies. Delicious looking presentation! Tasted sensational! We sat in the shade under huge trees in the comfortable patio, so relaxing! Servers keep an eye on customers who enjoy hanging out. I mean there is even a hammock to snooze in after lunch! Our order took quite a long time(whats up servers) to hit our table. One waiter thought we had already eaten … when order-taker waiter noticed this, he showed up with complementary chocolates while we waited! Nice touch! Knock out sounding deserts and a scrumptious looking array of homemade chocolate goodies made with fair trade, raw cacao … most stoneground. Goodness gracious! Good!
