Since it’s reopened the service is way better! Be sure to look for the postcard in the mail or at your hotel and bring it in that will get you a free garlic cheesy bread blossom, which is very good! I had a white sauce pizza excellent, others had the grinder, meatloaf pesto pasta and spaghetti, all wonderful. Dennis our server was also nice enough to let us know when the bill came that the local discount we get for my grandma living in town, got us more money off the bill than it would have to get the free blossom. One thing that we didn’t care for however was the peach and berry cobbler, that’s why it didn’t get 5 stars, if you go there don’t order that!

This restaurant re-opened(about 2 weeks ago). We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant while finding a place that didn’t have a 30 minute wait due to the July 4th weekend. I ordered the Bowtie pasta with Prociutto, chicken, and spinach in a pesto sauce. It was devine! It came with a nice piece of ciabatta bread. My partner had a sandwich which was stuff with fresh meat and vegetables. The slight drizzle of rain and cool breeze made the mountain views even more spectacular. The customer service was awesome! Will be back again soon.

Best pizza I’ve ever had! Service is efficient and all staff members are very helpful. I will come back next time I’m in Sedona.

I’m in town visiting for the weekend and we hit this place up because its right my where I was staying. Ordered the Pasta Lunch Special which is all you can eat. There really wasn’t anything special about it. The Service there was pretty bad. Sever got our order mixed up and I had to wait a long while before I could get a second helping of my pasta. People didn’t seem friendly, and it was positive in the sense that I could bring my dog in and sit on the top patio that had a nice view. I have no reason to ever come back here, but it didn’t hurt to try a random spot and maybe find a hidden gem.

If the rumors are true that The Hideaway closed, then that sucks. The antipasto salad was big enough for two and delicious. The views from the lanais/terraces overlooking the creek and the red rocks were worth a meal and a drink here, anytime. Even better from the top floor. I never got a chance to try their ‘za.

We ate here the first day we arrived at Sedona — I wanted something casual and have a view to begin our vacation. This restaurant is right at the turn so — you can miss it — parking is at a premium so be prepared to wait or just luck out since it serves other businesses; unless there is parking somewhere else… idk(?) The restaurant is down the stairs — and, like all the reviewers has mentioned, it is like eating at a tree house. We opted to eat outside BUT we didn’t get the VIEW — Only a limited portion of the outside seating gets THEVIEW — but we sat around the long side and you front the tall trees. I guess we could have asked for better seating(which was near the middle corner and around) — but we were tired from the long ride and we didn’t want to fuss. I am sure they would have accommodated. I think she wanted to pace the guests apart from each other to have their privacy. That was nice. BTW — there is a bar on the parking level before you head down the stairs to the restaurant. The noise level from the bar above does carry but not that much. But we were there early afternoon so the bar wasn’t that full. We were still able to enjoy our lunch quietly, though… Not sure how it would be at night when there is a full bar. We ordered the antipasto salad for 2 and a medium meaty pizza. The waitress said if we were gonna order the pizza, too, she recommended to just order the salad for 1 — I am glad she did because the salad for one was enough for both of us and one more.(I wish I took her name down to thank her here — we did thank her there, btw). Okay — this is an Italian American food — so don’t expect gourmet italian meals. Just good wholesome food with good views and friendly staff! You won’t regret it…

I came with a big group(25 people) in the mid-afternoon for«linner»(lunch/dinner) on a Sunday. The restaurant very easy to pass along the road but finally made it using Google Maps. The view was amazing and we sat upstairs on the deck. However, someone in my party is handicapped and this restaurant does not have an elevator or any accommodations for handicapped, if you want to sit upstairs. Her husband literally had to carry her up and down the stairs because there wasn’t enough room on the first level to accommodate how many people we had… awful! Our table was fine but half the party kept getting pushed from behind due to the narrow lane for other restaurant patrons having to use the restroom, as our table was right next to the restrooms. Finally upon seating, I went to order a cocktail and was informed«they don’t have that». Huh… I ordered a creamsicle(vanilla vodka and oj) and did like it. Good size and good amount of alcohol for $ 6.50. Too bad I was the only one at my party who wanted a drink… Next we get menu’s and I was really disappointed that this place is called«Italian» and has very limited Italian items, mostly subs. I really wanted chicken parmigana but they didn’t have that or anything close to it. I ordered the all you can eat angel hair pasta, which came with a house salad and garlic bread. Salad was good, the house made ranch was really good. Entrees did not come out together, some even came out incorrect. They have a hot dog on the menu, which someone in my party ordered, and after waiting almost 20 minutes was then informed it wasn’t available. They also did not have several other beverages on their drink menu including sodas. Gee for a Sunday afternoon, you would think the kitchen would be a bit more prepared, especially since this was a party of 25 that knew we were coming. Once everyone had their food, I started hearing comments like«the Reuben doesn’t taste right» and«marinara is OK, pasta is mushy». To be honest, I don’t think anyone liked their food. I thought my pasta was very overcooked and the pasta was cut very short, not long noodles for angel hair. The garlic bread was highly recommended and it was«ok». Salad was the best thing I ate, which is hard to do wrong. When back in Sedona, I might come here for a beer just to look at the view but not for the food. Service was decent but not worth the added 18% gratuity.

I called in their famous Anti-Pasto Salad for pick up, and when I got home I found myself extremely disappointed with it. It was an order for two, and it barely had enough of anything for one person(except a ton of lettuce). I called today to explain to them that I was disappointed, I spoke to Zack who refused to do anything about it. He said he’d talk to the cooks. I have been ordering the salad for a few years as I’m a local and not a tourist. It’s sad when businesses don’t care of the quality of food they are providing consumers as they are profiting on the tourist who are keeping them in business. The owner Mark should be ashamed of the food and the service level provided to their guests by employees who just don’t care… who knows maybe the owner doesn’t care either. Come to find out… told a friend about my experience and they told me the same thing happened to them. Don’t do it… save your $$.

The views are great from the upper and lower patio. Feels like you are in a tree house. If you go just before spring the tree leaves obviously aren’t as full and you can see more red rock, but summer time is still nice just harder to see the red rock. The food all looked delicious, but nothing fancy. Just basic Italian styled lunch foods. This place is more for views then the food.

I stayed in Sedona for one night and was looking for some good Italian food so I saw this place on Unilocal and thought I would check it out… One thing was I saw the sign by the street but did not see the restaurant. Little did I know there is a bar on the street level and the restaurant is downstairs. Maybe that’s why it is called the Hideaway, but to me they should have had a nice sign saying restaurant down here or something more inviting. Even after I got down there I still wasn’t sure I was in the right place. So I ordered the lasagna and my salad was a house vinaigrette dressing since they didn’t have caesar(what kind of Italian restaurant doesn’t have caesar salad?! haha). The lasagna was pretty good came out very hot and the marinara/cheese blend was excellent. It also came with a slice of cheese toast. All in all, it was pretty good but I would try some other places before coming back.

My friend had her wedding reception here in 2011. Gorgeous views and a cute little place if you have less than fifty people attending your wedding. As far as the food goes? Just meh. Actually, since we’re being honest, kind of gross. But this could just be me being VERY spoiled with an Italian grandmother. .. good food doesn’t needs to be swimming in sauce. Other than that, management could’ve done a better job letting people know the upstairs bar was closed to the public instead of leaving security detail to me + the rest of the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Nothing like a disgruntled local trying to walk into the room over and over to piss off the bride. Keepin’ it classy, Sedona!

Found this little«hideaway» on Unilocal and glad we did! Pizza & lasagna were delicious, chicken parm was good, meatballs were over cooked and over seasoned. Service good and staff very friendly. We sat on the patio and it overlooked the woods and beautiful Sedona mountains. They also had a guitar player playing which was a nice addition to the meal! Ignore the bad review she came on a busy night and not that her review was legit but not an always instance. I highly recommend this«hideaway» and will be back here for the pizza!!!

Three stars for the food, 4 stars for the view. when we found this place, it looked like a crap shack. but we were on the second story and didnt realize there was outdoor seating. So we were about to leave and then we just decided to explore the patio and then we fell in love. So we stayed and got a bottle of vino and pasta and what not. There was a guy playing the guitar which gave a nice romantic feeling and the view was just stunning. I am so glad we stayed! I defintely recommend this place if you go to sedona!

The Hideaway was recommended to us by my hair stylist so we decided to give it a try. We came with our dog and had to sit upstairs so my fiancé went down to let them know we’d like to have dinner upstairs with our little doggie-dude. We waited and waited until I became a bit chilly so I decided to run out to the car to grab my long-sleeved shirt. As I was walking back I saw a male server with glasses approach our table and say something to my fiancé. Then I saw him literally hurl the menus like frisbees at the table, bunching up the tablecloth along with them, and then laughing as he walked away from our table. This was after I had watched him slam drinks down in front of the people who were sitting behind us, before walking away. Classy. This was indeed a first for me. After that though, I decided to leave. I was in the mood for pasta but didn’t want to risk having alfredo sauce hurled onto my lap by somebody who was obviously having a bit of a bad night, or trying to get fired. The Hideaway looks like an amazing place so I’m bummed out that we didn’t even get to try the food. They have a wonderful, romantic patio that overlooks the creek and red rocks, the night we went, live music was playing below. And of course they get points for allowing my pup to dine with Mom and Dad. I’m actually looking forward to giving this place a try on next visit. Unless the pissy dude with the glasses heads towards our table again… No bueno.

Everybody that we had asked on where a good place to eat in town, we kept hearing«The Hideaway». So with that being said, we decided to go. Close to the double whateverthehellyoucallthosetrafficthingys, we saw there was a Hideaway Bar, then hidden away down a flight of stairs is the restaurant… So we get there, and its a nice a peaceful place(hence the name). There was even a guy playing an acoustic playing some decent oldies(I decided to give him a Hamilton). Our server was a native of Prescott, but said he had been in Sedona for quite some time. He enjoyed the restaurant– which was a plus– he gave us wonderful service! The menu was mostly Italian-descent, with a few other items. I decided to get a large Italian Chicken pizza plus garlic and ham. He told me he’ll get me a box for leftovers, but I couldn’t understand why… He said in his 15 years of being there, he has never seen ANYONE eat a large pizza to themselves… Well low and behold, this fatty chowed on it– one sitting– nothing on the plate– take that ManVsFood! Man kicked the $hit out of food that night! He was impressed… But no picture on the wall for me, just a knot in my stomach for the evening :) The pizza itself was pretty decent, and it did have some weight to it– honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, but it was unique, and I enjoyed it. Our group was the youngest group, but that didn’t bother me at all. If you want a quiet dinner with a decent Italian menu, come check out The Hideaway! And when you are done with dinner, you can go up to the bar and get loaded and play bar games ;)

If you are in Sedona and in the mood for pizza this is the place to go, my favoorite is the Dieters Downfall, and it is, I have been going there for the past ten years, never a bad experance, staff is great, family owned, same owner for the past 20 plus years. Red Rock views from all tables. Ask anyone who lives in the area about The Hideaway, there will tell you. it is a local hangout.

Eavesdropping can be beneficial! When I was up on the Airport Mesa, a fellow traveller overheard me ask someone for the best view of Snoopy Rock and chipped in with this recommendation of the Hideaway Restaurant The restaurant is indeed aptly named and without the intervention and precise instructions, I wouldn’t have found this place on my own. It is located on the 89 as it leads south out of town. If you hit Schnebly Hill Road, you’ve gone too far There is an indoor and outdoor seating area but the best views of the rocks are obviously from the outside patio. The star view is of course Snoopy Rock(picture posted in photo section) The food is classic Italian and all reasonably priced. I had some nice pasta. Food is really of 3 star standard but that view of Snoopy Rock is worth bumping it up a star
