Lousy service indeed. Just like its sign. My family and I waited almost an hour for our food as we watched people come in after us and get theirs. The food wasn’t even that great either.

Had breakfast here this morning. Food was delicious. Had the meat-lovers omlet. Super yummie! Service was great, kept our coffee cups full and warm. Kids loved their pancakes and cheeseburger. Juicy, flavorful! Highly recommend for anyone in the area to go try their food. Very friendly and quiet place. Loved it!

Went there for the prime rib friday asked for it rare to medium rare got it cold and well done. Waitress couldn’t remember to bring silverware even after we had food. Also couldn’t get ketchup until we asked the other waitress. There sign is a little off lousy service yes but food sucked too

Awesome home style food. Generous portions and you gotta get their prime rib on Friday nights. It won’t win any awards but super nummy and their horse radish is the real deal! Service is OK regardless of their slogan :)

Hidden hole in the wall but it’s a gem! Went and ordered the chicken fried steak. OMFG. Please get the 8oz for $ 11.95. Worth it! Clean, quick, and servers are great. Coffee cup was never empty!

The food is really good and its nice how long they serve breakfast for but the service isn’t very good. There slogan«good food, bad service» is very accurate.

Seems to be the only place in the Skagit Valley that still serves breakfast after 11am on Sundays. This place in Sedro-Woolley exceeded my expectations of a country diner. The coffee is fantastic, and their omelettes are tasty and filling! And despite their sign that says«Good Food, Lousy Service», the staff there are very nice and happy to be there! And best of all, it was friendly on the wallet too! If you’re passing through the North Cascades, give this place a chance. It’s right off SR-9(for those coming North from Seattle & Everett who are avoiding the I-5 bridge collapse area) down State Street. Not hard to find and there usually is plenty of parking.

We got to the Iron Skillet almost every Friday evening for dinner. Food is good, service is good. Is nice to sit in a dinner like place instead of the fast food or Applebee’s type … Very relaxing.

Everytime we come back to Sedro Woolley to visit family we make multiple trips to Iron Skillet for breakfast. Great homestyle cooking with a great value, how can you go wrong. Huge portions, don’t think I have ever been able to finish it all. A true Sedro Woolley staple.

Down home food, reasonable prices and service not half bad. Been here quite a few times over the past years and it is the same day in, day out. If you like good, old fashioned breakfast at reasonable prices, this is a good place to come when in Sedro Woolley.

It’s ok when you want food in the evening and don’t want to leave Sedro to get it.

Good food, good quantity, good price. We tried the dinner and it was just what we were hoping for. We had a french dip, salad bar, fried shrimp and fish & chips. The salad bar on its own is a bit expensive but added to the other menu items it is reasonable but skimpy. The flavors were good and I would like to try the breakfast here based on other reviews. One other thing I should say is that the food is in the cheap range($ 1 -$ 10). But realistically everything is right at $ 9.99 and climbing.

The menu offers multiple Americana items for breakfast lunch and dinner at fair prices. Straight forward service and honest food. Tip: do save room for a piece of pie.

Maybe things have changed since ’06 or maybe the previous reviewer had a large bug up his butt that day but my experience today was pretty decent. We stopped in with a party of 19 motorcyclists and pretty much sampled the whole menu. The staff didn’t flinch when we paraded in and we were treated promptly and courteously. I had a bowl of chili that, while nowhere close to my own, was respectable and was definitely not from a can. The rider next to me had a turkey sandwich that got my attention as it was obviously not that thin sliced, gel injected crap you’d get in most places but generous of hand sliced meat. Didn’t hear one complaint from this outspoken group whose motto sometimes seems to be «Ride to Eat». It ain’t haute cuisine by any stretch but it’s honest grub at a decent price served up by some nice folks

All the signs say«good food, poor service». So… I thought I’d check it out. The sign was wrong. It’s poor food, poor service. The décor is awful. It looks dirty, and the service is very poor. If your local I’m sure you get better service, but if your just passing through just keep going… The only reason I gave it 2 stars is that the price is not bad for a dinner.
