I really used to like rally’s. I really did. today I had a bad experience that I wish I could take back. It has removed my faith in not only this version of fast food, but in humanity itself. I could go on and on about how they got my order wrong and that even when they got it «right» it still felt wrong. but I will spare you the details. dammit. time for the walk of shame back to my car

This place is great for a work release program. For those of you who don’t know what a work release program is, it’s where prisoners who can be trusted are released from prison to go to work and they return to prison once they’re done slinging fries. It’s possible I’m being a little harsh here. More than likely these employees are actually between prison sentences at the moment. Today I received the worst customer service I’ve ever had at a fast food place courtesy of the Selma Rally’s. The girl working the register managed to suppress an eye roll when we walked in, so I give her credit or «mad props» as she might say, for that. The fine gentlemen working the food sat there and stared at us, which would’ve been slightly less uncomfortable if they hadn’t looked like they belonged in the cast of Stand and Deliver. It was comforting that one of them, while wearing his gloves meant to protect my food from his germs, got out his cell phone four times while we were ordering. I’m not upset at him looking at his cell phone in the least, but I’m pretty sure he’s not the only person in the world who doesn’t take their cell phone out in the bathroom, so I know what’s on that phone. The food looked like it was slapped together by a cross-eyed man having a seizure. I don’t expect my food to look like the menu. This is fast food. But it is nice when the meat and buns are sort of lined up a little. My kids each got a hot dog, which apparently comes with ketchup and mustard already on it, because I guess everybody in the world likes ketchup and mustard. A little unfortunate backstory: my daughter hates mustard. And they slathered it on there like a twenty year old putting on axe body spray. There was a ton of it. So I did what any decent dad would do: I apologized for the inconvenience and politely asked if they could get one for me with just ketchup. At this point the gal didn’t suppress her eye roll. I thought she was going to do a freaking back flip. She also informed me that there would be a wait for the hot dog. When I said that was fine and apologized again for the trouble, she begrudgingly took it from me and got to work on the replacement hot dog. Let me tell you, apparently even inmates are big on the truth because it took at least 12 minutes, so she wasn’t lying when she said there would be a wait. I don’t know if they had to mechanically separate the chicken parts themselves, but I could’ve gone to Walmart down the road, bought a grill and some hot dogs and made her another one myself faster than they got it done. At least I got the grumpy stares from all the employees while they made it. Stares I gladly returned to make sure they weren’t messing with my daughter’s hot dog. So while the food actually tasted fine, I won’t ever darken the doorway of this Rally’s again. I would feel safer knocking on a random door in a seedy neighborhood and asking them to make me dinner.

Been here a couple of times before and I was very pleased. But Sundays I’m thinking they have a bunch of dirt head young kids working there. Burger wrong. Cold. Disappointed. Attitudes horrible. Hey kids who do think pays your paycheck.

Worst customer service, my road house burger was on regular sliced bread from the grocery store, my fries were cold, it took over 5 minutes to get our food and we were the only ones in line… Never again will I come here, we took the food back and instantly from the drive through to park and go in and he was figuring with us about it the whole time. It needs to be shut down!

All I got to say is 2 for 5 $ deal and you be good all day. Enough said.

I don’t know how long it takes to make a couple of burgers and some fries, but apparently it’s long enough for me to get annoyed then sit here writing this while I’m waiting for my food. other than that, some of the food was good, some of it not so much, as is often the case with Rally’s. The pulled pork sandwich was more bun than meat, it would have been fine if they had put it on a smaller bun. but when I bite into a sandwich expecting meat and all I get is bun, I am not a happy boy.

Tried the new chicken bites, delicious. Also Got my usual chicken strips, delicious. Was very worried about them giving me enough BBQ sauce for my chicken. 4BBQ sauce things!!! The stupid management at the Glendale Rally’s could learn something from this place. Most Rally’s that I go to, Especially the one in Glendale, are condiment Nazi’s. Over all I would give this place a 5 star no questions asked. Unfortunately I waited for over 20 minutes in the drive thru. about 12 minutes for the guy in front of me and about 8 or 9 minutes to get my food. Unacceptable.

I was eating here for a while when they had their $ 1 chicken or fish sandwich promo.(They’re back up to $ 1.50 or $ 2 now, still not bad.) They were piping hot and tasted pretty damn good given the cost, and the guys at the counter were always pretty cool. Can’t beat that for a cheap fast food joint. A couple of times when they were slow, they even ran the food out to me. Visits: 5
