Typically, I don’t shop places who don’t hold my same ethical values, but I will make an exception here, because I don’t to buy all of my greenware/resin ware online. Usually I am here around the holidays to by ornaments to paint for Christmas. Whether it’s for the tree or something to stand on the mantel it’s a great place to buy those types of things at a reasonable price. I’m always sure to take a coupon with me. They also have great yarn too. I really like their«I Love This Yarn» brand. They don’t have scanners because of the are of the«Left Behind» series belief. So I make sure I check my receipt and watch prices as they are being put into the register. They also have a strange return policy, involving drivers licenses, so I just choose to keep things rather than return it.

Abysmal customer service. When trying to apply my 40% coupon to a fabric purchase, the clerk’s response at check out was«Well, you should have told them that when they cut it. You’ll have to go back and have them adjust it.» As someone who has worked in customer service/retail for 10+ years, I was appalled. Don’t shame the customer for not following this quirky policy. Politely explain the policy and how they can best complete their purchase. Don’t throw attitude. And when i attempted to go back and correct the ticket, the clerk appeared put out that I was interrupting her tulle-skirt project. Either it is a display(which can wait!) or it’s a personal project(which shouldn’t be done on the floor!). I seriously don’t need sass from hostile, middle-aged women when I’m trying to complete a purchase. I would rather go to Michael’s up the road or drive out of my way to a different Hobby Lobby.

I went to Michael’s today and was very disappointed in their lack of service so I ended up at Hobby Lobby this evening after work. First of all, their selection is leaps and bounds superior to what Michael’s had(paint by number specifically). Associates were friendly and fast and double checked the sales to make sure I didn’t miss any discounts. Awesome experience.

Every time I have been to Hobby Lobby there has been a long line, regardless of how many people are in the store. There is also a manager looking on, not helping mind you just overseeing. If you have a question about anything, good luck. Then theres the issue with their barcode system, oh wait they don’t have one because it is 1967. It’s not, well you couldn’t tell by shopping here. I have to go this particular store tomorrow because they are the only place I can fine an item I need. Wish me luck.

A very typical Hobby Lobby. Keep an eye on the sales/prices; they don’t ‘scan’ them for the sales. That’s the way all HLs are. Clean, some employees are helpful.
