I started going to this location when it was still called Taco Via. The same lady that ran it then, runs it now. Very friendly and helpful along with the rest of the staff that works there. I usually stick with the tacos when I go, but all the food is good! Make sure to put some of their sauce on your tacos! I highly recommend this place, especially if you are looking to pig out on good tacos!!!

Basically concession stand food. Packaged chips, cheese sauce and canned beans. At least it’s cheap.

I always hate giving low ratings, but this place was just bad. Nothing is fresh. Packaged tortillas, bagged chips, canned beans and nacho cheese and store bought salsa. Only meat selection is «taco meat», which is ground beef with some kind of seasoning. I asked for a horchata to drink (I don’t know why I would even assume they would have that…) and the woman taking my order looked at me like I had just cursed her family name. She had no idea what it was. I informed her it’s a mexican staple, a cinnamon rice milk. She said «oh, well we have rice»… never mind lol.

Very good! And very sweet staff. Clean and fast. Reminds me of Taco Via but a little different. The same type of menu items just tweaked. All they need is chopped Jalapeño’s on the nachos and we’d have a perfect day :)

I love local restaurants but I can’t pad my reviews because of it. I expected a fun greasy spoon taco joint. Instead it was just canned product dumped on a plate. If you’re a fan of high school concession stand nachos your review will be favorable. For the rest of us who try to avoid canned cheese products and tortilla round chips then this is not the place to go.

This is NOT Mexican food. This is like refreshment stand nachos with a few extra options. I’m not saying it’s bad, but you just need to know what to expect. If you’re in the mood for some round tortilla chips with orange cheese on them, then this is your place. I’m not too proud to say that is exactly what I’m looking for sometimes!

Do you like Taco Via??? Kansas City folks know Taco Via. This is the closest thing you’ll get to Taco Via, it used to be one. Its has the same menu, but the prices and staff are much better. Right in the heart of Shawnee! Support this place, local owners doing things better than Taco Via.
