Used to come here prior to new ownership. They never get my order right. When you ask for broken yoke on an egg sandwich that mean break the yoke so it doesn’t explode on u when u are trying to eat it in you car. When you ask for easy ketchup you get an attitude. Just make my food please no drama.

Ha ha, owner got what she deserved. She was sooooo mean, and did not care about customer service. Oh well, we warmed you!!!

Horrible service here. Used groupon and waited 30minutes. Customer who came after us got their food. What’s the deal here? Getting slow service if you use groupon??? They even mess up the order.

I haven’t been on Unilocal for awhile so I just logged on and saw that the owner, Billie, from Sundara sent me a message apologizing for my experience and the way her attitude came off. It was very nice of her to take the time. I still don’t eat there, but my fiancé does sometimes and he says the service is better.

Cute atmosphere and the bagels are good but everything else was a thumbs down. My latte was watery, bitter and tasteless. My husband’s chai was scalding! The breakfast sandwich and and breakfast burrito were unseasoned and tasteless. And then there was the cashier/server who didn’t know her own menu and couldn’t answer questions about it. Sigh. Unfortunately we won’t be back. I will say that I sent the latte back and got a refund without question.

A woman working in kitchen brought in Starbucks. That tells you all you need to know about the coffee. Breakfast burrito was solid, as was shabby-chic décor.

This place used to be a bagel shop owned by a family that was very simple and good. It has now been renovated, but it seems that they still have the bagel bakery in the back. So, the bagels are always still very good. I’m not quite sure about the other food, since most of this food I am able to make on my own at home. But, there ingredients seem pretty good and the service is very nice. Overall, for me the prices are too high and nothing really calls my name except for the bagels.

We ordered a cheeseburger with potato salad and pastrami sandwich on rye. Excellent quality food. Nice location, clean, and the owner was very personable. We presented a groupon with no problem. they Also have vegan and extended breakfast menu. We will definitely return to café sundara.

The place looks nice and the food is okay. My big problem was the pre– made«fresh squeezed orange juice». There is no way that was real FSOJ. It Tasted like carton juice.

Quaint little café with a surprisingly large menu! Good music upon entering and although we initially thought we’d be having brunch here, my husband and I had sandwiches. BBQ chicken panini with a small side salad and potato salad for me and cheeseburger and fries on a homemade bun for him. It seems like a lot of regulars come here and the staff was very welcoming. We would definitely come back again – I forgot to mention they even make crepes here! The little Parisian in me needs to try them. They also have a great selection of coffee and tea drinks. Lovely place overall – recommend. P. s. They’re on the corner of Woodman and Moorpark and there’s a small lot for parking!

COMEHERENOW. Amazingly priced and tasting! Gluten free options too! What! Wifi & coffee refills free flowing. This is THE café of the valley in my opinion. Mad I didn’t start coming earlier. From the kindest service to the art and positive energy breezing through the open doors on a beautiful day, I think I’m in love.

The place was cute and they had good coffee. Unfortunately, the owner was not pleasant. She rushed our group of 5 to order, never smiled and was curt and abrasive.

Came in with my fiancé for breakfast. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast burrito with no bell peppers and my fiancé ordered two eggs any style(he ordered over medium) with bacon and a blueberry bagel french toast thing. Here’s what was supposed to be in my breakfast burrito: eggs, hash browns, tomato, bell peppers(except I ordered mine without), spinach, mushrooms, and avocado. Here is what was in my breakfast burrito: eggs, hash browns, cheddar cheese, 1 small piece of tomato that was at the bottom of one side of the burrito, 4 mushrooms, and 1 piece of onion. No avocado. No spinach. And they threw in a piece of onion on the house(if it’s not listed, why put it in?! Maybe I don’t like onions!) and cheddar cheese. I was expecting a nice veggie filled burrito and what I got was a ton of hash browns and like 4 pieces of mushrooms. Fiancé ordered his eggs over medium and they came out SUPER runny and the whites weren’t thoroughly cooked. He took it to the cashier and she apologized, took it to the back, and she and the cook seemed to have an argument about it(you can clearly hear into the cooking space from the front of the house). New eggs came out that I would still call over easy but at least the whites were cooked so… Yeah. I wasn’t even about to take my burrito back to her after that… Fiancé said that the blueberry bagel french toast was delicious so I gave them an extra star for that… Wouldn’t go back… Too bad. Seemed like the cook was maybe having an off day. Sad face.

This is a really cute restaurant but we did have a couple of issues. One of our sandwiches was on stale bread! It truly ruined the sandwich. One of us had the vegetarian breakfast burrito and it was excellent. Our biggest issue is that there was a dog in the restaurant sitting with a patron. I know people love their pets and the law says they can come to restaurants with outside patios only. We are allergic to pets and this is a big problem that seems to be happening in LA restaurants and markets.

Food was decent, the music was cool(they played Lorde). But the service, was deplorable. They literally laughed at my friend in her face because she couldn’t see the menu written on the wall. She also seemed annoyed that I used Groupon. My friend was 90% sure she dropped an ice cube and put it in her iced coffee :(

I gotta say, their bagels are the closest I’ve come to a New York bagel since moving to Los Angeles. Fluffy without tasting like soft bread, just the right amount of chew and loaded with flavor. I loved the cute tables and mismatched chairs and the chalk board menu was whimsical and mom and pop-y feeling. Love that they have turkey bacon because I don’t eat oinkers and the eggs were fluffy and yummy. Good coffee, friendly service and the blueberry French toast bagel was a unique treat that we enjoyed immensely. I’m definitely coming back!

Came here today for the second(and likely, the last) time. I ordered a crêpe with Nutella on the side. The crêpe was disgusting! And overpriced for the size. Doughy, thick and definitely smaller than last time. The cashier seemed uninterested and hung out outside on her phone with a friend. Don’t think this place deserves more than two stars.

Honestly I have no idea how this place got 4 stars. I’ll try not to be mean: horrible setting, nothing was neither fresh nor well made! Do NOTCOME!!! Yeah, at least its cheap, and if you’re completely shy on money. just starve! They have a groupon deal 8 $ for 20 $. we took that and paid total of 1p dollars and that’s the only reason I did not throw it in their faces. I guess it was a little mean… But true.

Love Café Sundara! Met Billie, the new owner and she’s a sweet heart. The food is great… love the lox sandwich and the breakfast burritos. They’re gluten-free everything bagel is yummy, chewy deliciousness. My only tip is… sometimes when it’s busy in the morning they don’t answer the phone, so if you’re trying to save time by calling ahead to order on a busy work day you won’t be able to get through… so I have learned to just walk in and order face to face, it’s fastest!

A beautiful menu of breakfast items in a cute setting on a weekend with no wait? My word, you are a horse of a very different color, Café Sundara! I couldn’t be happier about stumbling upon this place this past weekend. I wanted breakfast in my belly, a delicious coffee to grace my lips, and a casual environment that would be suitable for me to work away on my laptop. Practically unheard of on the weekend, in the valley, but this perfect strip mall corner joint offered me all those things. Their speciality is bagels, and they are plump looking carb jet packs. It’s actually hard to pick a more hearty a.m. meal with those things staring you in the face, but if you’re interested in a full on entrée, you’ve got plenty of options. I was torn between the breakfast burrito and the two eggs any style with hash browns and bacon and then I eyed the blueberry bagel French toast and almost combusted from excitement on the spot. I was able to calm myself down enough to select the two eggs any style and substitute turkey bacon for the reg stuff, and the blueberry bagel French toast for the regular toast. They were pricy substitutions, but I couldn’t resist. An iced coffee rounded out the order. The meal came out quickly and was picturesque. I snapped many photos of it before ever taking a bite. When I finally did, it was pure bliss. The eggs were the right kind of sunny side up, the hash browns, crisp, yet fluffy, and the turkey bacon, stiff and flavorful. The blueberry bagel French toast was probably a bit over the top(for one person), but I just had to try it. It was dense(not sure if that’s the best consistency for French toast), but the berries and syrup were on point. I finished the whole thing over the course of an hour and felt 100% satisfied. I don’t think I need to get the sweet dish again, but will definitely be back for the crepes(half off on Mondays) and breakfast burritos, and just to pass the time away when I’m in the Valley and need a quaint, relaxed place to work or meet up with a friend. Also notable: The staff are sweet peas.

This café was located in Sherman Oaks, and it’s right near Ventura Blvd. It was first hard to recognized the little café but I saw it though. It’s a cute old little café that my mom introduced me for a Valentine’s day breakfast. It’s hard to see the restaurant because can ‘t really see the sign as first time go-er. Sherman Oaks is a good place to go especially for cafes. Everything in the restaurant is nice and well decorated. I ordered some crepes and a cup of hot chocolate and my parents ordered some breakfast burritos. We waited about 15 minutes for our breakfast to come. We waited longer because it was busy on Valentine’s day. I see everybody was with their families. When i got my ordered, it was good portion size and I quickly got full from eating a plate of crepes and drinking hot chocolate on the side. It was very good breakfast, I had in the morning. The customer service was okay, they were helpful when you were ordering food for the first time other than that, it’s okay. It’s not the best especially if go to the café on Saturday’s morning. The restaurant was full and there’s were about 2 people in the cash register. It was difficult to ask a server for a glass of water when the café was full and busy. I recommend everybody to go try out the crepes because they’re very good and it will make you feel very full fast. It’s gonna be hard to find parking in the mornings but you will find parking, eventually. The hot chocolate is also good when you’re in the mood to drink something sweet and good in the mornings. The location is cute and the food is great and customer service was okay but I still recommend everybody to go to this little café in Sherman Oaks.
