I’m glad they shutdown. The food was good but the clientele and events HELDTHERE were beyond snooty. A bunch of pompous wanna be filmmakers acting self important. Well how important are you now. HahahaaaaaAAAAA love it.

Food was great! But the service was amazing. I had a pick up order for about 8 people and John was busting his butt to get everything out for me. I said it a million times in store, but I’ll say it again, thanks for all your hard work John! Smaller café but fun ambience inside. Local artist had some cool horror movie themed prints on display and for sale. Food wise, it was great! I had the breakfast club, spicy mayo was just the right amount of kick needed to any sandwich. Some of my team got the breakfast burrito, while others got the waffles. All looked amazing. We will be back when we’re in the area again!

There’s a reason you see«Hot chicken» mentioned. It’s AMAZING! Great flavor, borderline reminds me of chorizo flavor. Spice level = 1.5, just a kick, full of flavor. I also have had the cold tuna sandwich. The tuna blend is delicious & refreshing. Def would get again. Lastly I had the tropical black tea cold — great, bold flavor. Atmosphere — cool artsy vibe & table games

The vibes of the café are great. There are a few couches and a small outdoor area. Cool art on the walls, a little stage, and a drop down projector. The decaf iced coffee was awesome, the breakfast burrito was alright. Would return!

Cute little place with huge potential … Seem like you are not in LA but you are. It’s little expensive but I don’t mind if it was little more lively. Their organic and gluten free scones are good. If I am in the area, I will try it again.

This is my favorite café in all of Los Angeles and the Valley combined. I started coming over a year ago for a quiet place to get out of the house and work on a rec from a friend. They won because they could also cater to my dietary restrictions. They are a very small, family owned operation and take feedback seriously. Their menu has recently been refined to match the café theme, and each sandwich and salad are customizable, I like to swap the tarragon dressing for balsamic on the Caprese salad as well as add Mario’s special hot mayo to, well, everything. If the baristas don’t know how to make your favorite drink, they will figure it out for your next visit(experts in flat whites now, let me tell you.) Everyone here is a writer, director, producer getting their work on, and the after-hour events edge towards mega-horror-fans. I was never much into horror, but the regulars took me in and have given me a new genre education. It’s a unique little gem of a place. Everyone should go all the time to keep it just busy enough to keep it hopping but let it retain its charm.

My «A ok» review is not based on the food, but just the coffee and environment. I go to coffeehouses to work(write) so I usually don’t expect to find any good food options, but I did note that they have vegan choices, which is pretty awesome. The coffee is good and the ambience is conducive to work/writing/quietly chatting with a friend. They have plenty of outlets which is a plus and good wifi. The décor is a bit«Salvation Army’ish» but I’v seen worse. I wish they stayed open later than 7 p.m. though! So, overall, it’s an okay place and maybe if I eat something next time and it’s great, then I’ll up my rating! Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. All the reasons why I love thee: 1. Walking distance from my nail salon… so very convenient :) 2. Employees are super cool and nice — sometimes they walk over and deliver when my girls order and we are busy !(Help us out a lot, thank u!) 3. Love the Hipster vibe in there 4. Enjoyed the vanilla latte — but on the pricier Starbucks side $$$ 5. Man oh man — that HOTCHICKEN pretty much in any style — baguette, wrap, salad in unbelievable. 6. My girls love the breakfast Sandwhich with spicy mayo. 7. I’m drooling and need to head to work so I can order right now lol The Stiletto Nail Bar dolls love u guys at JumpCut!

Came here with my boyfriend and we ordered the tuna melt, the hot chicken sandwich and a latte. We both asked for avocado to be added to our sandwiches. As it turned out, they only had enough avocado to supplement one sandwich. In replacement of the second avocado portion, the staff very kindly offered us a choice of chicken noodle soup or lentil soup. We opted for the lentil soup and it was tasty. The chicken sandwich was good and the tuna melt was even better! I could tell that my boyfriend wished that he had ordered the tuna melt for himself(I always order better than he does: p). No complaints about the latte either, one of the better ones. So yes go and try the tuna melt!

A great find! Thanks Unilocalers. Very cute café with delicious food and cool artwork all over their walls. The customer service is great! Very friendly and welcoming with a great vibe altogether. We had the hot chicken sandwiches. They were DELICIOUS! Huge servings, we took our other halves to go and when we ate them they seemed even more delicious! For a $ 30 lunch for two, I couldn’t be happier with this place.

Intimate setting with a hipster vibe. The food is fresh and delicious. I ordered the Funk Vegan Sandwich that was crisp and tasty. The baguette was a little tough, but that’s how baguettes are. My boyfriend’s tuna melt had a spicy kick and was mouth watering. The art on the walls adds a unique décor that makes dining in s must. The place is very clean and the staff had a warm welcoming vibe. Parking can be a little tough, but we lucked out. We parked in the neighborhood with no meter. You can always park near by and walk. It’s a safe area with lots of store fronts to see as you walk over.

Wow what a great place to study or write, great customer services. But i think the positivity stops there. Sandwiches are quite bland, regular white toasts. And so sad to say, but they don’t understand what a Flat White is! It is a between a macchiato and a cappuccino, neither of which has much milk in it. it is supposed to be foam not milky. I feel like I just got a cup of 8oz milk and 1 espresso shot. Please for the sake of your fans, fix up the food and drinks. I love the atmosphere and the people here so much and we want to come. back!!!

Hip little neighborhood coffee with trendy diner feeling: Really vibrant atmosphere in this little coffee shop: art on the walls, promotions for board game nights, movie screenings, etc., and that helps pass the time if you have to wait for your order(since only one or two people work the counter and kitchen). I was impressed with the menu of breakfast(and lunch) options that had enough options for this vegetarian to have a hearty fill-up after a long morning hike in hot sunny weather. Grateful to have found this place — hit the spot!

I discovered this place through Eat24(gotta love them)… I work in studio city so I’m always looking for some amazing food to be delivered to my job. The moment I tried the caprese sandwich, I knew I could eat that every day! The tomatoes they use for the sandwich are always ripe(unlike subway or other gross places with hard nasty tomatoes) and the mozzarella cheese is always soft. They serve this sandwich with a pickle and potato chips. Their pickles are delicious and crisp. Their staff is always friendly. And the delivery guys are very speedy. They recently(at the beginning of 2015) stopped delivering :( So sad! When I went into the actual café to pickup my order, I discovered how charming this place truly is! It is a bit tiny inside and parking is either meter or one of the two spots in back. But overall, Love it. Nothing but pleasant experiences from this place.

Just discovered this cinephile themed coffee shop a short walk away from my office. How did I not know a place serving local coffee and warm sandwiches with Godard posters on the wall was close to my office? I ordered the hot chicken sandwich and a small iced coffee to go. The coffee was good but a mistake… I’d already had enough coffee this morning and was feeling sick enough that coffee just wasn’t that appetizing for me(no fault of the restaurant, of course). But the sandwich was excellent… large, warm, and spicy on a baguette, exactly the type of comfort food I’m looking for on a Tuesday afternoon. The real attraction for me was the film-love posted everywhere at the place… cool Mondo posters for Gremlins, gorgeous Godard movie art, a chalkboard with a list of «top 5 sci-fi noirs» on the wall. The couches were overstuffed and comfy and they had board games ready for guests to play. Plus the place hosts free movie screenings and trivia nights. This is the coffee shop I didn’t know I’d always wanted to visit. I will be back soon, with my laptop in tow as I embody the LA screenwriter stereotype.

Came here for Dead Right Horror Trivia Night and the Place was great. Even when they were super busy with customers, I got my food and drink in a timely matter and they brought it out to me. Food: Chicken quesadilla: good. Warm and gooey. Drink: The Good Shake. Made me feel better about eating the quesadilla Service: great guys. Really nice and remembers all their customers Parking street

Welp. There is a weird relationship I have with Jumpcut Café. This place is truly a hit or miss… Today was just like any other day/visit. My boyfriend lives down the street so we contemplate coming here or going to another brunch spot. We usually end up here for convenience. There have been times when we decided we will never return. Our last visit(about 6 months ago) we had to wait about an hour before we got our food. Today, at around 11am, the place was pretty empty(not surprising), and service was mediocre. Food, however, was excellent! I ordered a salmon Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend got the waffles and scramble. I guess at the end of the day, if the food is good… And there’s no wait, this is a thumbs up. HUGECONS: The lady who took our order and who we paid, also made the food. This is not efficient on a customer service aspect and business operations, and must I add. for sanitary reasons. Management/Ownership can really benefit in their business by paying someone specific to run their front and back ends. Just saying. Oh and one more con. On a Sunday, at 11am. You don’t have orange juice? Really? I really think all this place needs is some TLC. It’s a great location. I’d love to see it succeed!

I just had a macchiato which was perfect and authentic. Thank you Charlie! Fun place with an accent on motion pictures décor which encourages strange film discussions among friends, «Now, how did that song in Umbrellas of Cherbourg go?» We will return for lunch, and we are hoping for a thumbs up experience. A Kubrick 8×10 made me smile too . The first rule of Jumpcut Café is that there are no films. Price range is coffee only, and crowd was quiet except for some idiot playing a clip from«Umbrellas of Cherbourg» on his Android phone. «dada da da dada, dada da dada. I will wait…» Oh hell! It’s a small world after all, it’s a small arghhhhhhhh!
