my wife and I were passing through the area for work and needed a place to work for a little bit. came across this bagel shop(or spaceship as the owner would say) and was really pleased with everything. Parking was really easy to find(around 11am) and there was plenty of seating inside. we ordered two iced coffees which were really delicious(on the sweeter side but we like sweet), and the egg and bacon garlic bagel was fresh and delicious. it was gone in a few bites. the service was excellent. the guy who served was incredibly friendly and the owner greeted us at our tables, talked to us for a little bit, and gave us some sweets on the house! this is a cozy and local place you can’t skip if you’re in need of a bagel and coffee, and friendly service and conversation!

Recently renovated. New and super cozy, at home feel. Always warmly welcomed and sometimes even given extra sweets for no reason! Their bagels are always fresh as well as their veggies. They offer organic coffee with choices of different milk(goat, almond, coconut) which is hard to find! Highly recommend them for a quick stop before work or a nice site down meal.

This a great place for a fresh bagel in Sherman Oaks. I stopped in for a cup of coffee and a bagel and they did not disappoint. The service was fast and with a smile, while the bagel was hot and with a tasty cup of double espresso. I got the cheese bagel to try something new and out of the ordinary. Will be back for sure.

Wow, best bagel I’ve had in LA. Had a great time chatting with the owner who told me about all of their processes to filter their water/make it as close to the Hudson River as possible. They even boil the bagels like they do in NYC. Had«the Works» with lox. Killer bagel, excellent coffee. Very happy I stumbled on this spot.

This place is just… The best. The new owner may be the most servant owner I’ve ever known. I never came here during the last régime, but I heard bad things. Daveed has apparently completely turned the business around. I don’t write reviews, but the idea that this place doesn’t have a 5 star rating makes me sad. Free spirits, very welcome. Awesome service, awesome atmosphere, oh yeah, and the bagels are probably the best I’ve had. I’m a regular for as long as they’ll have me.

The fire bagel was pretty good. And the owner was nice. He showed me his alkaline, magnetized water filtration system and his special roasted coffee beans. The reason I gave them one star is because they would not let me use their bathroom. Nothing bugs me more than restaurants that refuse bathroom services to customers. It’s simply inhumane.

Wanted to try the new bagel spot in the hood. I ordered a plain bagel with butter and a medium iced tea. At $ 6.50 I found the prices to be WAY too much. For the price I was hoping to be blown away by the bagel — I wasn’t at all. The bagel was not much better than a supermarket bagel. The bagels at Western Bagel are far superior, and far cheaper($ 1.55 for plain bagel w/butter). I’m definitely disappointed. For those wanting a NY style bagel, or even a fair-priced decent bagel, I’d look elsewhere.

Glad we walked in to this place. Use to be a doughnut shop. Across from El Torito. Great selection of fresh made bagels– including gluten free. New favorite bagel shop in Sherman Oaks!

Typically, I’m not a coffee drinker and I dislike the char-bucks types of harsh, acidic, burned-tasting coffees. Explaining this to the owner David, he offed me a cup of coffee and told me that it would be the best cup of coffee that I would ever drink. David also took the time to explain about the organic coffee beans that he uses and the purified alkaline water that is used to make the coffee. After tasting the coffee — he was RIGHT! The best coffee I’ve ever had — not bitter, not harsh, not acidic– everything that I think coffee should be. I also tasted their bagel sandwiches — just as delicious as their coffee! This place is the best — I’ll be back soon!

I ordered gluten free chocolate cake and Americano. My bf ordered the pumpkin pie. The cake was perfect… exactly what I was craving. The owner came out and spoke to us. He was so nice. He said all the coffee there is made of magnetized alkaline water, which is a huge plus because I’m kind of a water snob and I know the type of water that’s used makes such a big difference. There’s plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and great service.

I just checked into this new bagel place in meshuganoaks. Great bagels, actually family owned and run as such. The owner was on-site and so willing to share his passion for bagels, coffee, magnetic water,(what the.). He’s got it set up for live music. It’s really nice to find a non-corporate place in the big city. I’ll be back. Did I mention the vegan cookies?

After hearing from ex-New Yorkers that the bagels here were really good, I finally tried it. Not a good experience, not a NY bagel at all, very disappointed. Very expensive bagel for an inferior product

This place is great! I am obsessed with the lox bagel and their jalapeño cream cheese. I love sitting here and enjoying my food while listening to good music. I recommend this place to anyone, especially true coffee lovers! It’s delicious!
