Came here for a birthday dinner, and there was probably a group of 18 of us. Though I enjoyed my Classic Burger(cheeseburger) with added grilled mushrooms(it was overcooked, as I ordered a medium and got well, but it was grilled well, with nice charring on the patty, flavor which I love), the onion rings weren’t as crunchy as they can be, and they were a bit heavy as the batter seemed to have soaked up some of the frying oil. My friend ordered the beet salad and was disappointed that there were more greens than beets used for the salad. Why I’m giving this place 4 stars is mainly for their service. They were pretty spot on, getting everyone’s orders, accommodating requests by several for separate checks, and have everyone served within 15 minutes from the first plate served to the last. On top of that, the servers remained composed and friendly, and they were most helpful in cutting up a 10″ birthday cake into 18 pieces for the entire group. Kudos to them. Now, about those onion rings…

Decent food, tasty cocktails, friendly service. Not bad but definitely have had better burgers at other places in the valley. I had the white sangria, blue crab dip, and blue burger.

Besides the excellent food here(I love the chop salad and steak tips). We always have the best service! I always feel slightly uncomfortable bringing my three yr old out to restaurants so it’s especially appreciated when they show her attention and make her feel welcome! It makes her visit more peaceful for everyone too hahha We had Tennile(sp?) tonight and she was very attentive to my girl asking her questions and even brought her a cute drawing of a mermaid under the sea at the end of our meal since they shared a favorite movie! I love it! It’s the little things and I know my daughter will always remember that when we go there :)

I have to amend my review, because I’ve been ordering from here for over a year, every few weeks or so, and the last couple of times have been puzzling. The attention to detail is sorely lacking in recent months. Last time I ordered burgers with the spicy ketchup on the side of one and no mustard on the other. I got my order home to find that everything was on the burgers. I called to let them know about their mistakes and asked for two new burgers, drove back with the incorrect order, and was handed a very light bag. I looked inside and it just had the ketchup in it. no new burgers. so then I had to wait while they corrected the order a second time. you’d think at the very least they’d offer me a free glass of water or soft drink while I waited, but nothing. Tonight I called in an order for pickup again. I asked for the Shroomin’ with the ketchup on the side(because they usually DROWN the buns in the stuff. If it were a normal amount to begin with, I wouldn’t ask for the special order) and a Mac Daddy, no special requests or changes. Got home to find that I didn’t get the spicy ketchup on the side of my burger. It was some kind of spicy aioli. Ick. But even weirder was my husband’s burger. It doesn’t have any ketchup or anything on it, but he opened the clamshell to find a random glop of ketchup(regular, not my spicy) just hanging out in the corner of the box. What the heck??? The burgers here are delicious, but they have two strikes on order accuracy. One more and I’m gonna have to find a new spot for burgers. That’s really too bad.

The first time I went to the Tipsy Cow was a pretty good experience, meal wise… The service was off, and they kept serving us the wrong menus and misunderstanding our orders. I sound kind of naggy, and I know they meant well but there was only 3 other tables taken up out of like 20. It was not a busy day. But don’t get me wrong, the Big Texan I had was A BEAST, really good burger I recommend it. The second time I went there was actually at their different location in woodland hills. I loved the ambiance when we walked in, but We walked in to a 30 minute wait(not their fault) but then I had a burger that was just not that great, the lettuce looked like it was from Micky D’s. The Third time I went was at the Sherman oaks location at a busy hour, service was great, but we ordered some food off the hour hour menu, and it was just a straight up teaser! The tipsy tacos were each smaller than my palm. If you go here, I suggest a sandwich, or a burger. Oh and their beer menu is great! If you’re going here for a drink and maybe some wings, go for it!

We were a party of 8 on a Sunday night. Our first experience here and Tipsy Cow did not give us a good first impression. It took about 45 minutes for them to serve our food. Really?! Our 2 veggie burgers took that long to be served(why?! There’s no meat!) Even then they took 2 other burger orders wrong so that was an extra wait. On a positive note those 2 orders were comped. Burgers didn’t come with any sides(most other restaurant give you a side salad or fries). They forgot to give jalapeño ranch to 2 veggie burger orders – that burger in itself looked like it came from the freezer and they just put it in the microwave. The ranch sauce made that burger palatable. Ironically, the sauce itself didn’t even had any hint of jalapeño flavor. As for my meat-eating friends, they weren’t blown away by their orders either. It was not memorable. So Tipsy Cow in woodland hills I would NOT recommend. It was our first time… and last.

Nice ambiance while sitting outside on the patio. Ordered 3 apps, 1 side, and one alcoholic beverage. All were tasty, but didn’t satisfy my tastebuds enough that I would have to come back and have them again. Our waitress wasn’t very pleasant, she made us feel like it was a hassle to serve us. And it wasn’t until leaving the restaurant that we realized we had been overcharge on our bill(split check) by at least $ 20. Well that blows.

The Short Rib Poutine appetizer was good and plentiful… in other words, there was enough for two people. It’s essentially shoestring fries covered in gravy(not a heavy gravy), with cheese curds(a new twist) and plenty of pulled beef pieces. The Tipsy Cow has many beer and alcoholic drink options, but what they are known for their shakes. I’ve asked a few places in the area where to get a shake, and they all point you here. I had the«What’s Happening Hot Stuff» shake, which is a wee bit embarrassing to say to the waiter/waitress. It’s made with vanilla ice cream, Oreo cookies, and Marshmallow Fluff, with whipped cream and an Oreo on top. The shakes are made in plain view by the bartender, not in the back kitchen. Plus! My shake was super smooth! Plus. This was the best option on the shake menu, but I would have like more options(beyond the six on the menu). I would definitely go back again!

The good: Very good happy hour here. They have a great happy hour selection and everything on it is $ 5. Yes, the valley dining scene is definitely happening. So let’s get together and enjoy a drink and some snacks. We practically ordered everything on the HH menu, smoked wings, buffalo fries, fried cauliflower, short-rib sandwich, deviled eggs, beer, wine, mules. The wings were fall off the bone smokey, fries addictive, cauliflower… eh, short-rib sandwich mouth-watering, deviled eggs creamy, beer filling, wine oaky, and mules refreshing and tasty. I would definitely come back. The bad: Took awhile for anyone to greet or acknowledge me at the bar, waiting for a friend. Someone after me who sat at the bar got his drinks first, a regular, which was kinda annoying, but I still tried not to let it bother me. Bartender wasn’t very attentive and sometimes what he said was awkward, but he was training someone new at the bar so he must have had a lot on his mind. I think he was trying to be overly entertaining? They over charged us by a few bucks, we tried not to make a big deal about it and just tried to let them know, but it felt like they were being defensive about it, and it seemed to have escalated to something not worth the rise. Manager was cool. I would still come back, cute joint, great food, great drinks, service needs less acting, more attentiveness, and more easy going.

Came here on a whim. Happen to be Happy Hour 3−7pm every day. Ordered the IPA10 Barrel Joe — loved it! Ordered the Basil Hummus, a little spicy with garlic & basil served with freshly baked ciabatta bread. Ordered the Blue burger– medium rare, mushrooms, balsamic onion jam, Pork Belly(to die for) arugula. It was quite possibly the best burger I’ve had! The atmosphere is nice and casual, patio out is nice but(I always sit at the bar). This place is perfect for a casual fun date. Good beer, great cocktails and good menu! Will be back and I will bring my people here!

Business meeting on a Monday night. Beautiful Cali weather so we wanted a chill spot where we could sit outside. This was just that. Chill vibe. Cool music. Good atmosphere. The service was great. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The food. Ehhhh… kinda disappointing really. Sad to say it but I would give this place less stars because the food was kinda sucky. All three of us agreed that the food wasn’t good. It was very basic. The wings were average. The burgers were whatever. Fries were good. The drinks were not strong. Unfortunately because of this I don’t think I’ll dine here again.

Pro — you can get burgers until midnight. Con — no decaf coffee?!? What’s that all about? I met my friend here for a late night dinner rendezvous. We popped in around 9:30 and closed the place down at about 12:30… At which point they turned off the music and switched on the overhead lights to signal to us, hey a-holes, we want to go home. I don’t blame them… I’d do the same damn thing albeit probably with less subtlety and finesse. We had the blue crab dip which is yummy, warm, crabby, goat cheesy goodness that you get to slather on soft bread slices. Good stuff. My friend got a turkey burger and a milkshake, and I got a kale salad situation with a beef patty on top, and we shared fries. The crab dip as I mentioned was yum. We scarfed it down in no time. The kale salad was nothing spectacular. The patty looked premade, and I think I would have preferred that kale shredded, as it was a bit tough to chew. The flavor was good overall though, and I appreciated that it wasn’t drowning in dressing(major pet peeve of mine.) I think I’m just totally spoiled by burger bowls from the Counter, and was hoping for something like that. Fries are hard to eff up, and these were the skinny, yummy kind. A-OK. And that milkshake was killer. We stayed until they closed, and then turned off the music, and then turned on the lights. The universal sign for«get the hell out of our restaurant.»

Let me start by saying that I love(d) this place. I love(d) everything about it from the quality of food to the customer service. That was until the other night/morning. My new favorite things to get are the Garlic Buffalo Wings(picture attached). Usually, I sit at the bar, but this particular time, I ordered two orders of wings, a salad, and fries for Pickup. According to the meal ticket, I called my order in at 9:55pm, and headed to the restaurant. When I got there, my order was ready. According to my receipt, I paid for my order at 10:13pm. Sure, it felt like this was too quick, but it was late, I was hungry, and I know that sometimes kitchens«prep» food to get it out faster. When I got home, I saw that both orders of wings were extremely undercooked. Because it was so late, my boyfriend just put one order in the oven so that we could have something to eat that night. The next morning, I brought the second order of the chicken back to the restaurant. I asked for the manager, and this young woman came over to help me. I tried to explain things to her, and instead of feeling like she cared, she made me feel like I was interrupting her day. She was very short with me, and only did as much as she had to do. At the end of it, she handed me $ 9 in cash, the face value of the wings. She wasn’t remorseful at all. Her apology was literally«Our bad». You serve raw chicken, and that’s the level of customer service you give? It makes me think twice about returning. Because my previous experiences were so great, I want to, but I’m also very upset about the quality of food and the level of customer service I received. If I do choose to go back(which is unlikely), I will always check my food before leaving the restaurant.

Our intention was to stop by this place for brunch, but we missed it by 15 minutes. Bummer. So we walked in, sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by THENICEST female bartender that I’ve encountered in a looong time. I mean, she was just great!!! Very personable, nice, funny, and just great! So refreshing!!! I can’t remember her name unfortunately but I think it starts with a ‘T’(she’s tall, blonde, thin). Anyhow, she recommended that we try the Blue Cheese Tots because they would ‘change our lives’ lol, and I’m glad we did! They were really, really good. We also had the Short Rib Poutine but were not impressed with this dish at all. I’d much rather have steak fries instead, ’cause this dish was just a greasy hot mess. The beer was also off… I had a Hefeweizen and it tasted awful. The parking sucks anywhere around Ventura, but that’s expected. Overall this is a cool location and I’d like to come back for brunch or to try the Cubano sandwich or the Big Texan.

(Dined 02÷11÷16TH @ 4:00pm): This hefer would easily get tipsy with the wonderful selection of adult libations! The marketer in me bookmarked Tipsy Cow simply because of the catchy name. When a longtime friend who worked in the area wanted to meet and catch-up, I instantly suggested this place. Was this patch of Valley farm worthy of grazing or should it be put out to pasture!?: King Harbor Imperial Swirly Imperial Brown Ale w/Cacao & Vanilla 8.5% ABV($ 7.00) — A wonderful dessert-like surprisingly light body brew as the tastes of chocolate and vanilla danced in my mouth. Ballast Point Peppermint Victory At Sea Imperial Porter with Coffee & Peppermint 10% ABV(HH $ 5.00) — The peppermint flavor made its presence known in both nose and on the palate. Swirled with coffee and vanilla, this definitely put me in a festive Christmas mood with a nice minty finish. Ventura Lemonade(HH $ 5.00) — My friend ordered this concoction of Tito’s Vodka and homemade vanilla bean lemonade with a sweet and tart scent. By the look of things she really enjoyed it. Sadly, I gave up mixed drinks for Lent and wasn’t able to taste it. Allagash Curieux Jim Beam Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tripel Ale 11% ABV(FREE«Butcher» 5 fl. oz.) — This amber drink had nice hints of bourbon on the nose as well as a clean latent finish. Watch out… the alcohol eventually caught up with me! Short Rib Poutine($ 9.00) — Slow-roasted short rib, white cheddar cheese curds, and gravy all piled atop a healthy serving of haystack fries, I was disappointed in the lack of short rib and cheese curd. The fries were good as they kept their crunchiness although they were soaked in the gravy. [ONIONRINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT — 3.5 of 5.0STARS] Onion Rings($ 5.00) — Apparently an off-menu item, this small portion size came out hot, the darker brown crunchy batter was lovely and didn’t crumble, each onion ring(not sweet Maui) stayed intact when bitten into, and the ranch dipping sauce was extra watery. Tipsy Tacos(HH $ 5.00) — Two mini corn tortillas filled with tender marinated beef, pickled onions, avocado sauce, and cilantro were decent but nothing memorable. I’d prefer a street taco at about half the price. Deviled Eggs(HH $ 5.00) — Mixed with lemon, green onion, and tarragon, the presentation of these four large egg halves was beautiful, but unfortunately we both felt the taste was more bland than beast. Plus, the tarragon left an overpowering finish. Service — From the moment I arrived — and eventually my friend — we were both happily greeted by a tall young man who waited on us to near perfection(i.e. filled our water glasses, delivered our drinks/food quickly, checked on us). High-hooves for the outstanding service! Parking(FREE this instance; Varies) — Familiar with the area, I found FREE residential street parking a block or so away. Otherwise, there were plenty of 2-hour limit metered parking(8:00am-8:00pm) all along the main drag of Ventura Blvd. and nearby side streets. There were also garages and lots with varying rates. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — You entered through the covered front patio-seating area to get into the main part of the restaurant where the overriding theme for me was a log cabin feel with all the shellacked dark tan wooden high ceiling beams and tables. The brick walls were painted a blinding white while a massive chaulk drink menu directly in front of you captured your attention . A decent-sized bar was off to the left with the rest of the condensed floorspace used for dining. A good amount of natural lighting came through the ceiling and front patio while electric lighting was more accenting at this time until it got darker. There were several TVs(muted) while rock music played in the background. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, I’d return to the Tipsy Cow and graze for the fine libations, the customer service, and maybe the onion rings. Unfortunately, I felt the food underwhelmed me and wasn’t worthy of any prize ribbons. I may try their burgers on my next visit, but I’m skeptical. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(TOTAL paid experience was around $ 45.00BEFORE tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 4.0STARS

4.5 Stars Met a friend for a bro brunch here and was not disappointed with his choice. I was greeted and seated in a very friendly and professional manner. My friend arrived with two dogs in tow a few minutes later and they had a doggie bowl with cool water in front of them within a minute. MAJORTHUMBSUPFORPUPPYLOVE!!! We started with some Bloody Marys, and I can say how much I enjoyed it! The mix was fresh and spicy, and was garnished with some amazingly delicious hot veggies, an AWESOME pickled egg and a smokey piece of bacon!!! It was breakfast in a glass mixed with vodka, who could ask for more!!! I ordered the Benedict which was tasty as can be, It was on a very flakey and moist biscuit, topped with some fantastic sausage and a perfectly cooked egg. It was very good and would recommend this to anyone. Our server was very professional and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. I ate outside because we had the dogs today. The outside patio has a very nice view and is clean and well kept. But I would recommend eating inside. Venture Blvd has a lot of loud and accelerating motorcyles and cars on it, so it can be loud outside. But its not the establishmnets fault, just be mindful if you sit outside.

If an army of Hipsters banded together, forging their very own knights of the round table, and crafting a goal to bring unique alcohol and food that you would have never thought of. then this is it. I enjoy coming here with my friends, particularly before heading to the arclight for a movie. The menu has a wide variety of vegetarian and meat options, with lots of tasty appetizers to help warm you up to the main course. In particular, my favorite appetizer is the Buffalo Haystack Fries, which is essentially french fries with blue cheese and buffalo wing sauce. ugh so addicting. Their happy hour is really swell if you can make it, with most of their appetizers being half off and alcoholic beverages being discounted too. So its really convenient if you’re looking to split up a meal with a few friends, plus you get to try a variety of food. The service was very good, with servers approaching me fairly quickly, and food turn around being fast as well. This may have been a slow night, so be wary of that. Otherwise a wonderful and pleasant experience!
