Woodie’s is a great place to stop to grab a burger and fries! They have the biggest selection of burgers I’ve ever seen along with a substitute of chicken and wide variety of hot dogs. They also serve soft/hard ice cream, milk shakes, and more. The French Toast ice cream is to die for and a must to try! I went with a basic bacon cheeseburger and it did not disappoint! The girls behind the counter are very friendly and I will definitely be making this a regular stop in LBI!

Such a great place for burgers, I got the flamethrower burger with jalapeños and it was delicious! They have really unique sides like funnel cake fries and eggplant fries. My only complaint regards the wings, which weren’t covered in the bbq dipping sauce but naked with the dipping sauce on the side. It was very difficult to handle and the wings weren’t cooked very well either. Overall, a great experience :)

Great hamburgers, cooked fresh and custom made, we have eaten at both the the Ship Bottom and Beach Haven locations, the Ship Bottom spot has more appeal in my opinion, since it is the original, but parking can be difficult. We ate in the late afternoon, not to crowded, and teh service was very good. I will be returning

I used to go here why it was the 19th hole I believe for mainly just ice cream after mini golf. No it is much more than that. I would compare it to red robin but they are much better than that. There are at least 20 different burgers with all sorts of toppings. My favorites are the islander and the one with pineapple and teriyaki. Will go back lots more this spring and summer.

LOVETHISPLACE! Definitely my first stop on the island once everything is open for the summer. The food is amazing but the burgers are fresh and the meat is from right down the road, delicious! The girls are super friendly and are definitely hard workers. The owner is always so sweet and really cares about his customers and employees. I see people commenting about the prices but in my opinion, you can’t put a price on FRESH never frozen local burgers! If you are new to the area this is a perfect place for lunch or dinner after the beach!

I love these burgers! Try the garlic burger with bacon and pepper jack cheese… Amazing! Fun outdoor atmosphere with live music on the weekends.

Great food today on LBI. Definitely will be going there again. You get a lot of food for the money. Friendly people and the owner(who I believe) who waited on us was supper nice and helpful. It didn’t hurt that he was wearing a hat from Cape Cod which is very near and dear to me ! See ya soon.

Here on vacay with the fams and we went to woodies 3 nites out of seven! Great little place, fun music, clean. The owner, I guess is Woodie. was so receptive to things ! I asked what was in the veggie burger and he brought out the ingredient list… we suggested vanilla egg creams in addition to their chocolate and he said he d certainly add to menu. Truffle fries are delish. ice cream of course too! Go here!

Late evening, Labor Day weekend. The dog days of summer. Soft against the mellow dusk play the island jazz quartet, board shorts swishing and flip flops tapping. Everything here is fine. Gone are the days when we put men on the moon. A bacon bleu cheese burger and mozz sticks draw me out of my reverie. They too are fine. We are all strangers and companions, on this long beached island, hurtling through the cosmos. Let us be voyagers through the stars yet again. Also the shakes are very tight.

It was a great late night stop for a burger. I was pleasantly surprised that the burger was very good, fries too.

Diner beware… I tried this place out and it’s nothing more than a greasy spoon. The burgers are not home made and are closer to a bubba burger… loaded with fat as are the French fries. It’s a cute concept but definitely not the best burgers as the claim.

Awesome food with great portions. Burgers are definitely one of the best on the island. Made fresh daily and cooked over an open fire. You won’t be disappointed and glad you stopped by. Outside and indoor seating as well with live music playing the early evening hours. Make sure to bring cash since credit cards are not accepted but they do have an ATM machine onsite.

Fun menu for kids but don’t expect any healthy options — go here when you want a juicy burger and a pile of fries. Parking can be tricky(we walked) and the ordering process was a bit chaotic. Plan on $ 10 – 15 per person including drinks and, despite what the Unilocal page currently states, the business does NOT accept credit cards. There is an ATM on site which charges $ 1/transaction plus bank fees(mine were an additional $ 2.50). …so I basically paid 10% in ATM fees. Otherwise, good greasy food. We’ll certainly be back again.

Great service. Stopped in to grab take-away during lunch time peak and was quickly helped and then manager/owner also approached to make sure we had been helped. They are clearly well managed. These things mean so much to me. Of course burgers are great. Family loves the special sauce and the curly fries also.

They hit the nail on the head with this place! These are the best burgers on LBI and every bite was delicious! This place touts that it has been the best since the 50’s and they are right. It sits at the end of Ships Bottom near the Surf City line and it is the original spot with plenty of parking and outdoor seating 1 block from the beach. The menu and daily specials contain probably around 25 – 30 burger creations, everything from double decker cheeseburgers to peanut butter burgers, fried pickle burgers or the islander burger, sour cream/bbq/cheddar and bacon which was outstanding! Of course there are fries, onion straws, tons of appetizers and shakes and even ice cream and sundaes. Prices are just right and service is fast! Make it a point to visit and take one to the beach with you!

The ice cream is okay. The soft serve is typical but edible. The hard serve ice cream is actually delicious, and I got to have a bit of the peanut butter cup. I would have gone back for more of the hard serve ice cream; note the ‘would have’ part. It’s ridiculously expensive. I realize this is a seasonal operation in a touristy town, but jeez, 10 dollars for three small cones? On top of that, a man working there(a manager, I believe) was being extremely rude to both guests and his own workers. He was actually sneering at everyone. He said something very rude to my special needs nephew; that being said, there’s no reason to be outright rude to any curious child. A guy ordering after us asked a simple question and was answered with sarcasm dripping with animosity. I mean seriously? You make money hand over fist off your patrons, you can at least be cordial to them. I’ve worked service, I know it can be grating, but common courtesy should be something you show to everyone at all times. Add to this the huge crowd here and I will never be returning. Too bad, since I wanted to like this place.

Friendly and accommodating, but the coffee is borderline drinkable. The owner said they’re going to offer breakfast fare soon — at about 10:30am, he made me a Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese sandwich, though it wasn’t on the menu. Not sure why, but my family’s order took over 20 minutes to prepare. My son, the BurgerMeister, rated his burger«very, very good» which is a lot coming from him. Still, I cannot give a four-star rating at this time.
