It’s over rated and too pricey even with groupon. It costs $ 93.00 for two people with 5 dishes(small portions).

This place is amazing ive been here a few times before, and their food is delicious. Just recently they have undergone a change in ownership and the new owners are extremely hospitable and nice! The food is even better than before ! This is definitely a place to try! It is open and reliable! Unlike another close by similar Filipino restaurant, it is open when they say they are all day long no lunch break at 3pm ! Which is big when I never know when I’m in the mood for food. Sucks to drive somewhere and it not be open. This place is open all day ! I wish they got more exposure! Good luck to them! Try this place!

I’ve never eaten at this restaurant but in my search for a filipino restaurant for lunch today I happened to learn that their restaurant portion of their business closed at the end of November 2013. They are still available for catering but no longer have a brick and mortar restaurant.

I didn’t actually get to try it. I tried going there on Dec 142013, and it was closed. Call their number and it was disconnected. Are they officially closed?

I live pretty close to this restaurant which is kind of a bad thing, only because If i am craving it, I can easily get it. I remember when it first opened, the food and service was great! Then a few months have gone by and we went back there and it went a turn for the worst… The service was not good… and the food wasn’t the same. So after that we stopped. It was then about 5 or 6 months we came back and it looks like they went in under new management because it was like nothing happened. The food was good, and the service was back to it’s standards. Hopefully it continues to be this way, because i hate to see this restaurant close down. It had a lot of potential.

We’ve been to this restaurant before and we were dissapointed… But now its a NEW Owner!!! Alma was very nice, she even gave me a free buko shake. yummm! The menu has more selections now and a new cook. We ordered Sisig and Ginataang pork, it was pretty good! They kept the same name because she said it cost a lot of money to change it. So come and check this place out if you enjoy FILIPINO Food! Support your kababayan!

My boyfriend and I really like this restaurant and eat here regularly enough. Sadly it’s usually empty when we eat there, so I decided to write a review in hopes that business will increase as I’d really hate to see them close shop. I have yet to eat a dish that I do not like, and I tend to pick something different each time. My aunt is Filipino, but I rarely see her, so I was extremely happy to find a restaurant that serves her signature dishes and are very tasty. Every dish has been very flavorful and the meat easily cut with a fork kind of tender. My boyfriend and I order extra food to ensure we have leftovers. The owners and staff have been very kind to us, offering us coupons and remembering our faces. They were friendly and polite, and probably the best service I have received in a restaurant in this part of Shoreline. Many of the restaurants in this area can be discriminatory, but they have treated my family members and I well(I’m Korean, my boyfriend is Chinese, and my parents are Caucasian).

I wish there were option to rate them 10 stars! It was our first time at Family Time Restaurant today, as we learned about them through Amazon coupons. I am sure we will be back many-many times more! The Crispy Pata is simply out of this world! It is so amazingly delicious, crispy on the outside and soft and juicy inside that my husband couldn’t speak until he finished the whole thing. By himself. Wonderful-wonderful food, wonderful friendly service, good prices. Perfect place for a nice lunch or a family dinner. See you guys very soon!

If you want authentic, home-cooked Filipino food? This is the place to be. We ordered Kare-kare, Crispy pata, Sisig and Kaldereta. We all liked it. Also a must try is their specialty drink«Calamango» shake(calamansi & mango) — SOOOOGOOOD!!! For desert we had their leche flan. Joyce(very friendly & nice owner) said it was her original recipe mixed with coconut milk — very unique and tasty! I will definitely go back and try other specials on their menu.

We always like to take a chance on these little«mom and pop» eateries that are tucked away in strip malls. Unfortunately, this place was a crashing disappointment. The owner was very friendly and accomodating, but the food… gross! Everything was«swimming» in some watery sauce or oil. All the meat tasted gamey and even the noodles were pasty and lackluster. Their buffet really consisted of four dishes and rice. I really could not eat any of it and concentrated on the salad which was edible. Also, it was a cold day and, for some reason, their A/C was up and running. We were one of two customers in the restaurant. The owners are either new to the restaurant business or are not tasting their own dishes. Either way, I am not going to spend $ 9.50 on substandard fare.

The sisig was swimming in oil a.k.a. cholesterol! I don’t mind grease(well, my cholesterol count minds, but hey) but this one was over the top greasy!!! But that’s not the worst. Only three tables were occupied when I arrived. I was the«fourth table.» For some reason that may be more obvious to me than others, the lady(maybe she’s the manager or owner?) checked with and talked to the customers at the other tables except the table that sat yours truly. Well… 1 table were three white men, another table with a light-skinned Asian couple(they looked Chinese) and the other table, 2 young men, both light-skinned Filipinos. My table was actually right next to the two young men; and it baffles me why in the world didn’t she even bother to say hi and asked how I liked my «sisig!» I would return to try their other stuff if it wasn’t for their horrible customer service that seemed to favor foreigners/light skinned people.

I was craving Filipino food and was too lazy to cook it myself and drive all the way to the southend to fulfill my craving, so I decided to give this place a shot! Unfortunately I was disappointed. I walked in on a Saturday night around 7:45pm to find the place empty! I ordered the pancit and the bistek. Both were just okay, it’s definitely«homecooking»… so much so I found a strand of my hair in th pancit! Good thing I saw it before accidentally putting it my mouth! :/fml. Also, the place just looks dirty. As I was waiting for my food, I noticed an uncleared table. I mean, how hard is it to clear a table? They weren’t even busy enough NOT to clear it! Boggles my mind. I mean really?! I don’t think I’ll be coming back here again, I’ll spend extra money for gas to go to Seafood City or Kawali Grill!

I love this place! It’s safe to say I am a fan of Filipino food because I am A) Filipino, and also B) a food lover(not to be mistaken with a food snob). Filipino food is very much rooted in home cooking, and every family does things a little bit differently. I have found that Family Time offers both traditional and interesting new flavors. So far, I have had from their menu: lumpia, traditional pork adobo, spicy pork adobo, lechon kawali, longannisa, tocino, biko, leche flan, halo halo… and others I’m sure I have missed. I have never been disappointed with a meal here. The food always tastes good, the portions are always big, and the staff are always friendly and helpful with discerning the dishes. I have brought many of my friends and family with me and they have always enjoyed the food as well. And they always have one of the Filipino channels on playing something… interesting! ;-) As a resident of Lynnwood, it’s a bit of a drive but always well worth it — the only other good Filipino restaurant around is in Marysville! But no need to drive that far if you are in south Snohomish county or north King. A great place if you are new to Filipino food or grew up with it like I did!

I was so happy to see that a Filipino restaurant opened in my neighborhood! I have been here a couple of times, and have not been disappointed. When I can’t wait for a family party to eat lumpia or pancit palabok, then I am glad to know that this place is 5 minutes away. Some recommendations: ToSiLog, LongSiLog(for when you want some awesome pork burps later in the day) and ComboSiLog(choice of two breakfast meats). It’s TOcino(a marinated, fried, slightly sweet pork) or LONGanisa(a cured pork sausage), garlic fried rice(to give you breath to accompany your late-day pork burps), and eggs. You should probably get those eggs fried for the full greazzy, satisfying effect. Sinigang My Laotian husband enjoyed this as there is a similar tamarind-based soup he grew up eating. The pork is super tender, the broth isn’t too sour(for those that don’t want to pucker with every bite), and the traditional veggies – including daikon – are nice and tender. I’ve also enjoyed the pancit palabok, and lechon kawali. I will be going back to try other items. I enjoy this place because it is a taste of home, and it fulfills my Filipino food fix between family parties and holidays.

These days its hard to find a home cooked meal outside of family gatherings. Luckily there is Family Time to provide a wholesome and delicious filipino meal. My favorite has to be Jerry’s Special. The mixture of pork and spicy is perfect. Served over your choice of steamed or garlic rice. It is something I keep coming back for. The service is attentive and not too overbearing. All in all, I suggest giving it a try. Not many other filipino food options in the area and if you crave that Crispy Pata then head here for a fix.

Craving some adobo and lumpia I complain on FaceBook about the lack of good Filipino food in the area and am quickly told by a friend to go here. Decided to pop in for lunch with the hubby. He got the bistek with garlic fried rice, I the pork adobo and some lumpia for the table. –Lumpia — good, was surprised it came with sweet and sour sauce, never had it that way before. A little on the crispy side and way too expensive for the amount given. –Bistek — Dry and tough. — Pork Adobo — too fatty and bland for my taste. I was spoiled by home cooked Filipino food, perhaps that is why it doesn’t meet my standards??? It wasn’t horrible… it just wasn’t GOOD.

A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend saw their brightly lit sign and suggested we try it. Walking across the parking lot, my excitement grew while at the same time there was hesitation. I didn’t want to get my hopes up only to have them dashed quickly if the food was greasy or the service curt. He joked that if the menu wasn’t up to snuff, we could always go next door for some Korean BBQ. It was a win-win situation. I can firmly say now after several visits, hopes were not dashed! Is it as good as family cooking? No, but they do a damn good job at reasonable prices. We’ve thus far tried their pork + chicken adobo, lechon Kawali, bistek, laing and one of their silogs(longganisa + SPAM). My friends were fans of the garlic rice but I found it on the drier side personally. I liked the spicy chicken adobo at lot and the spicy gravy over plain rice was truly addictive! The television played Wowowee(ah, yes… the show that will invariably inspire questions + comments) from those who have never seen it) or wonderfully maudlin Filipino soap operas. Décor is what you’d find at Lola’s house — the wooden tinikling dancer carvings and a pair of the big-ass fork + spoon! My only complaint is that the lumpia are overpriced for the amount you get. Either increase the portion or knock a couple bucks off that price. That aside, the items were flavourful and sated the craving for home cooking. Bathrooms + tables were clean and service was prompt + friendly. Overall I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting some Filipino food on the north side.
