I have been here a few times with friends. The place is nicely decorated and the staff seemed friendly but also very generic, dry and rushed in conversation/service. The prices are good for the size of portions you get. But I gotta say, I just don’t enjoy it. There is nothing on the menu that just pops out and grabs my palate. The food is well, just food. Whenever I am driving down Line Ave I am always looking at the other establishments, seeing the long wait lines. I look at Bistro Byronz and no wait but I still drive somewhere else. I just know the food is not exciting or robust. Now maybe I have just had bad luck with what I have eaten there. The staffs recommendations were bland. There was that one time couple of flies were dead in my dish. But that after they first opened and the staff fixed it promptly. 3 more times I ate there and never had bug issues after that first experience. I would give it another chance if they upped their game a little bit.

Good value here. The food is pretty decent and the bar has good ambience. I actually would give it 3.5 stars, if I could. The only real negative is that the food isn’t unbelievable, but I would rate it as good. The wait staff are friendly. We will go back for sure.

Great place for a late lunch. The bloody mary’s are quite delicious. I had the shrimp and grits, and they were very tasty indeed. The service is rather slow at 2pm. On another visit the hostess was rather annoying and immature, telling bad jokes, and personal information I really did not need to hear. What was that all about?

Very sad to have had a terrible experience here. Food used to be amazing. But this time was overseasoned(all dishes we ordered) and not prepared well or correctly. None of us could eat the food.

I brought my dad in yesterday for lunch. I was hoping we would hit it on a good day and I was not let down! I, of course, ordered the pot roast. AMAZING. Every bite was magic. Dad ordered Poisson Acadiana and raved about it. He also ordered the chicken and gumbo soup and though he enjoyed it, he did say it needed hot sauce. We asked to eat outside, even though it was drizzling. The big umbrellas kept the rain away. We really enjoyed the ambiance. The service though! Everyone was super pleasant, but our server was super slow. She disappeared after taking our drink order and ten minutes later I flag down a guy to find her. He takes our order and about five minutes later our original server comes back to see if we were ready to order. Every step of the process took forever. But the food was so good that I couldn’t help but update my review to add a star.

Bistro Byronz is a cool little restaurant and bar located about 4 – 5 miles from the casinos but is well worth the drive if you are in town to gamble. I was in town for work and had the blackened tuna sandwich for lunch. It was excellent — so good that I came back for dinner. I had the Redfish Amandine for dinner and it was cooked to perfection. The service was good, not great, as the server had too many tables to take care of. The atmosphere was relaxing — not stuffy or pretentious. I recommend you give it a try!

Good food. But, I felt the place was ran by a bunch of kids. The side salad was plain as I had the same one at a much cheaper establishment. I may go back.

This is an awful restaurant. The food is pretty good but the service is slow. We have been here an hour without any news or info about the status of our food in the kitchen. Only good for takeout. Service is awful. You would only want to go here if you want to waste time. Had to leave early because food did not arrive at a reasonable length of time.

Really awesome food… my favorite was the pork chop with the carrot soufflé side… perfect combo. Staff was friendly and though it can be crowded it was nice.

Ambience was nice. Service was alright. Thats about all that was good. I got the chicken paillard sandwich and i have not eaten a drier sandwich. I could not bite into it so took it out to cut it with a knife. No luck. I have never had to come home and floss after eating a chicken sandwich. Had two friends with me, she got the eggs hollandaise, he got the turkey burger. They have been there before so im thinking they find the food alright. Bill came to $ 70 including tip and two drinks. Since they have been there before im thinking the food is a hit or miss. But i am not going back to spend that kind of money on food thats a hit or miss.

GREAT food. Poor service. A friend and I stopped in for a quick bite and a cocktail. Sat at the bar. The bartenders ignored my party but paid plenty of attention to the couple next to us. Friends maybe? Food was dropped with no silverware and no app plates. Had to wave them down repeatedly even to the point of having to be rude about it to get their attention. I’ve worked in the service industry enough to know bad service. Such a great restaurant, but I’m not going to go back to a place where I’m ignored.

We had spinach dip and cheese potato chips(half blue cheese, half regular). Spinach dip tasted very fresh. Cheese potato chips were pretty good too. My husband had steak frite and substituted mashed potatoes as a side. He enjoyed his lunch. I had the gumbo PoBoy which is served with rice and a dark gravy on the side. The bread was really fresh and good. I thought the sandwich contents were going to tumble out when I picked it up but they did not. It was a spicy gumbo versus a flavorable one. It was good but a little bit spicier than I usually care for. My son had the hamburger steak which he said was dry. He has a big appetite but elected not to finish it because he didn’t care for it that much. Nice atmosphere. Attentive staff. Was a nice lunch but not something that would make us want to come right back.

Great, great, great. We liked everything from the mimosas to the bomber. Service was great and prices were reasonable. We will be back soon for sure!

Really fresh and good food. My wife and I shared a bowl of the Sweet corn & crab soup. Delicious. My wife had the blacken shrimp salad with orange rosemary dressing. They are generous with the shrimp too! Really good! I had the chicken BLT with avocado minus the chicken subbed bacon. Delicious. Came with a small side of pasta salad which was good. The place inside definitely has the Louisiana style look. Overall the atmosphere was nice, a lot of after church families with really good food. Our bill was $ 35.

I went back and forth on whether to give Bistro Byronz a 3 or a 4, but since I eat there often, I’m going with a 4. The food is consistently delicious, but the service is hit or miss. The best time to go seems to be for an early weeknight dinner. If you arrive before happy hour ends, glasses of house wine are only $ 3. The décor is lovely and quaint with lots of wood molding. However, the layout and acoustics of the place make for a noisy dining experience. This is especially true on weekends, when they feature live music. My husband and I had dinner here one recent Saturday and could hardly hear one another over the performer. As for the food, I have never eaten anything at Byronz that I didn’t care for. Their salads are excellent. I love the house made balsamic! The roasted chicken, Abita pork chop, and cassoulet are all solid dinner choices. The salmon is delicious and they often have fish specials. I recently had a tilapia served over wilted spinach with an artichoke cake that was exceptionally good. Their prices are also very reasonable. Now, on to the service. This is where Bistro Byronz is really hit or miss. The last time that my husband and I ate here(which was also the same night that we couldn’t hear one another over the music), our service was truly awful! It took 4 – 5 minutes before we were greeted, our drinks took about 7 minutes to get to our table(and we only had a glass of wine and a basic mixed drink), and our server was largely absent throughout the meal. My meal came with a side salad, which was supposed to come out before my meal, but it didn’t come out until after our food had already been delivered. The manager actually delivered the salad to me and didn’t apologize for how late it was. That being said, though I’ve never had exceptional service at Bistro Byronz, this is the only time that I’ve had truly BAD service. I had great bar service recently at happy hour with a girlfriend. The bartender kept our chardonnays full(very full). Another good thing about Bistro Byronz is that they often offer Groupons, which I consistently purchase, and with the reasonable prices, you can easily get an inexpensive and delicious dinner. Really the only drawback is the spotty service. I would recommend Bistro Byronz, but caution against dining during prime time.

Food wonderful indeed! I loved the food. Not real crazy about the ambiance but it was still very cozy. Can’t wait to eat there again.

Nice casual restaraunt serving good food at reasonable prices. Lunch special of chopped steak with all the fixins is unusual for a restaraunt of this type. ‘the Byronz’ sandwiches are one of my favorites. Try the homemade potato chips with melted blue cheese.

Yikes. I was so looking forward to this place after hearing about it for years. Service: nice people but a lot of miscommunication. Forgotten orders etc Food: the rice in the rice & gravy was actually not cooked. And the gravy very salty. Gumbo poboy was odd. Grits were dry. Dressing on chopped salad was tart. The place ran out of water cups and rice. Positives: Bloody Mary was good. A little heavy on the celery salt. Won’t be returning here & I suggest you don’t either.

This is a nice upscale sit-down place with nice modern décor. It was recommended by a local and was a good pick for us. The value and food quality were very good also. We had between us from the lunch menu — pork chops, back-of-the-stove chicken, and a hamburger steak sandwich. Total pre-tip was $ 32, which is about what we have been paying for 2 dinners at plastic servings places. Note that the hamburger steak is a bit more like a meat loaf though, rather than a burger per se. The clientele looked to be more of an educated, upscale type as well.
